Personality: She is highly intelligent, and dislikes spending time with those who tend to act stupid. Though she is not usually unkind, she does like to argue and debate, and enjoys outwitting people who challenge her – most of all her mate. She can be a little hard at times and she is known to have a few bad moods here and there, but she usually has a fairly mothering attitude due to her large family.
History: Born in the southlands with her two eldest brothers, Denahi and Tamu-Jitu, she was moved to the Kusini lands at a young age where her mother and father founded the new pride. She spent a lot of time traveling back to her birthland as a youth, where she met a wandering prince of the pridelands, Uumikaji. Most of their meetings consisted of arguing, though she did save him once from a threatening older lion. Through an unfortunate taunt, Uumi got Syeira pregnant with their first cub, Taabu, when they were both adolescents. However, Syeira went back to the Kusini lands alone and stayed. Uumi later came to find her (to see if she had indeed had a cub), and decided to stay once he found out about Taabu’s existence, though he did it for duty, not for love at the time. Taabu then ran away (with his younger uncle, Kenai, in tow) in an attempt to pull his parents together, and Uumi and Syeira went out to find him. They grew together and fell in love through this journey, and by the time they came home to the Kusini lands, Syeira was pregnant once more. Syeira gave birth to six healthy cubs, one of whom (Damu’Jicho) had the mental sickness that she recognized in her brother, Tamu. Faced with the fact that the Kusini royal blood would perhaps always be plagued by these genes, she took her eldest son, Taabu, and his son, Njozi, out to be trained as Usare’Wasii. These new guardians would protect these sick relatives from other lions and the pride from the sick relatives if need be. The journey was a long one, and by the time she returned, she had many issues that needed patching up among her family members. As time passed, however, so did the animosity and the family grew comfortable with one another again. Shortly thereafter, Syeira gave birth to a litter of five. Although the drama within her own family was calmed, the royal throne of the Kusini was up in the air as King after King claimed it and fled. Being busy with holding her pride together, her mate Uumikaji began to feel neglected, and mistakenly took comfort from a rogue lioness. Although there were no cubs for evidence, the pride soon found out, and it quickly reached Syeira's ears. It was bad timing, for Syeira's father had asked her to take the throne, and she was not only dealing with convincing the elders of her right - but also dealing with her straying mate. She has since taken her role as Queen, and things with Uumikaji have slowly begun to smooth over.
