If you think me be insane, so be it. I've already been classified as nuts by the psychiatric community.

Anyway, I see people on the side of the road when I drive, some stand, some sit, a few are lying on the ground, but are only visible for a few seconds, do a double take and they're gone again. Basements are naturally creepy, but once I built up my energy skills I was able to find much comfort in sleeping in one for a couple years, despite the phantom shadows, the door that opened on its own and a family of scorpions.

Occasionally I see small ferret like shadows jump in and out sewer holes and grates.

You could not have described many episodes in my life any better. And also the experiences of the other posters sound familiar. Seems like there are a lot more people out there having experienced the one or other thing than I thought.

I think I do have the ability to see things, because it runs in my family. But I have never been taught how. I mostly see things in dreams.

One thing that was pretty creepy:
Our family was having a hard time getting along and stuff like that, and I had been seeing shadows, out of the corner of my eyes mostly, so I passed them off as illusions of the light. But one time I saw one run down the hall. At first I thought it was my sister running to my mom's room, but then she came down the hall from the same direction a minuet later.
When I told my mom about this recently, she said she had been seeing dark shadows around the same time I was. They're not around in the house so often anymore, we think because the malicious feelings we all had towards eachother have, for the most part, cleared up.

Well, I think every town has it's share of the supernatural, whether it be in a house, or a graveyard or something. Even hotels. But then there is a place that everything seems normal. In my case, a duplex. Read on.

So we move into this place owned by a creepy landlord, Mr. Chapman. It all seemed fine at first. My sister noticed things first.
She had a closet in her room. It wasn't a sliding closet, just a normal looking closet that you opened and closed. Anyways, after a while, the closet doors opened and closed. It freaked her out. Finally, she put a rope on the handles. She tied it tight, and in a knot. In the middle of the night, the doors opened and then slammed shut, waking her up. She looked at the door, and noticed the rope was gone. She looked at the floor and saw the rope, untied, and just lying there.
A while before or after the closet incident, she had a friend over. The bathroom had a hidden room behind the mirrors. So her friend and her were in the bathroom, and they heard a noise. They opened up the mirrored cabinet doors, and inside the room, they saw a pair of red eyes. It was too big to be a rat. They slammed the cabinet doors shut and ran from the bathroom screaming.

I can't remember when the exact time it occured, but it still scares me think about it. My brother and sister were in the basement, and I was upstairs, watching TV. I heard something shaking, so I looked behind me. Now, in front of the entrance to the house, there was a mirrored closet. I walked up to it, only to find out, that's what was shaking. It started shaking violently, so I opened it. There was nothing inside. After I closed it, I ran down stairs to my siblings. It didn't shake again.
Now, one more notable event happened. I was a bit of a trouble-maker back then. I was up, when I was supposed to be sleeping. I was on the floor, playing with toys (I was only 7 people), when I felt something staring at me. I looked up and behind me, and saw a siluette of a person. It looked like they were wearing a long coat, and a derby. I then noticed the eyes. They were red. I got up and ran down stairs, into the basement. I then noticed something, outside of the window by our garden; another pair of red eyes. Needless to say, I didn't sleep that night, and covered my head with my sheets, the toys still sprawled out on the floor. I don't know why I didn't scream, but I'm glad I didn't. So, the next morning, I went outside, and looked around the garden that I saw the red eyes in. There were no foot prints, or bent flowers and grass. Happily, we soon moved out of there. I kept these memories inside, until last summer, when we passed by the house, while we were taking a bus, due to our car breaking down. Even now, 8 years after the events in that house, I still can't go past that house without breaking a sweat and getting a massive head throb.

So yeah, I'm thinking it was a poltergeist.

Anyways, I'm done rambling.

Ohhh that's really interesting! I've never seen red eyes in ghosts before... I wonder what it means, sounds darker than any regular ghost.
I actually do what I can not to look straight at ghosts. No eye contact. Because that's when they can have a big impact on you. So really what I catch are silhouettes or something flashing or running by.

I've been tempted to make eye contact and/or focus on a ghost... But I don't know what that could do...

A friend of mine claims that he sees every night a dark shadow with glowing read eyes standing by his bed. He tried talking to that being but never got a reply. So he also stopped talking to it and they coexist without talking for 3 years now. When I was at his place I could hear the steps and see the shadow of that being, but I never saw the red eyes. I did not make contact yet because when my friend is around we don`t have time and he really could care less about that being ( he claims that if that being does not talk, he will not talk) and I barely visit him at his place because he lives far away. But it`s only my to do list next time I visit him.

But on a totally different issue. It was in the news. And it was put on youtube. What do you guys think of that?

Yeah, it got me thinking about the house and it's history. The landlord, Mr. Chapman built the place, and I've always gotten bad vibes off of him. But it made me think; what if it had a dark history, and things were attracted to the vibes off of it? And what was the deal with the room behind the bathroom cabinet? And in the basement, inside the boiler room, there was a stone door that led to a storage room with a low roof. I only went in there once, and that was before we moved. There were a lot of strange noises from that room; scratches, footsteps, objects being shuffled. A lot of freaky crap went on there. I'd get a picture of the place if I could manage being near it again. Oh well.

GHOSTIES! I've seen quiet a few in my life, but there's this haunted apartment in my friend's building that always has a whole bunch of cigarettes all over the porch. The other day me and my friend went by that apartment all the cigarettes were gone, but there was a big cup full of blood that had a few cigarettes floating in it. (It looked exactly like blood.. and smelled like it) my friend has spooky apartments. No one's even lived in that old apartment since we were like 3 -- and I have no idea what happened to them. I remember exploaring it when I was just a young one. burning_eyes

There's this very cool ghost story attached to my town, but what can you expect; it's one of those old New England towns with three or four graveyards in it (I'm a bit fuzzy about where exactly the town line is), if there wasn't a ghost story attached, I'd be quite surprised. Equally fuzzy is the details of the legend attached to the ghost, but witnesses, many of whom I've met and one who lived with my family for a while; agree on the apparition it's self.
She's called the Blue Lady, and she's usually seen from a distance, walking through the graveyard, carrying a lantern which sheds a blue light and looking at each gravestone in turn.
Depending on the version of the legend, she is either looking for her own grave, the grave of her husband, her murderer, the man who betrayed her, the woman whom her lover/husband was married after her, or some combination thereof.
And in at least one account, when one got close enough to see her face, there was no face there to see. Unless a skull is counted as a face.

Now that that's dealt with, onto my much-less-interesting personal experiences.
I've never searched for the Blue Lady, to work out the exact details, because I have no interest in becoming yet another person who is positive their version is the right one; but I still like to sit in graveyards and draw, or picnic, or chat with friends. At one such time I was singing with some friends in a graveyard when I saw a woman with no discernible coloration, like a black and white photograph, run out from behind one gravestone, then disappear behind another. It was a very crowded graveyard, lots of stones; and we were their for a medieval reenacting event; so there was alot of people who could have been walking around; so I can't really say that there was no chance of it being a living person.
But there was something in my bedroom while I was in high school. That might have been a ghost.
My sister heard it first. She said she thought I was pacing in the attic, and when I told her that I hadn't been; she very calmly said, "Oh, it must have been a ghost, then. Not surprising in a house this old." Personally, however, I thought it sounded more like heartbeats than pacing, because of the way it was timed. The beating noise reacted to my shouting at it, and at one point I got it to "sing" along with my music.
The beating noise stopped about then, but that was about the time that if I left my room with my bed made, I could come back three minutes later and the blankets would be strewn across the room. That might have been fairies rather than a ghost, though, because about that time one of the goats (I live on a farm) got their head stuck in the crotch of a tree well above goat height. That could have just been a goat being stupid, though. However, stupid goats cannot account for the sheep's fence to be pulled up, turned upside down, and stuck back in the ground. However, since the problems with things moving and livestock stopped when my sister sprayed the effected area with water that had an iron nail soaking in it, I'm more inclined to think that was fairies than ghosts.
I don't like fairies.
However, the knocking noise persisted, and my mirror started moving out of sync with me; which was alot freakier than it sounds. It smiled at me when I was not smiling; and not in a Julie Andrews way.
When my bookshelves started making a noise that I couldn't decide was a sob or a laugh; I stopped going into my bedroom for a while.
My sister gave my bedroom a stern talking to and it pretty much stopped, and I put a sealing spell on the back of the mirror. The reflection looked sad for a moment, than started doing whatever I was.
I feel I should mention that my sister is more than usually good at this sort of thing and less than usually airy about it. In fact, I'd say her outlook on the supernatural is downright grumpy.
I am fully aware now that my attention gave it power.

I really went out and tried to talk to ghosts alot as a child, but seeing as I don't think anything I talked to had actually died; I don't think that's relevant.

Here ill tell u mine and the ghost that in my town.

One time I was sleeping with my lights off and all of a sudden i had a weird feeling of something in my room. Then i couldn't move my body then all of a sudden i open my eyes i get this gloomy white figure on top of me reaching for my neck. I try to yell but i couldn't it wouldn't let me yell out. Then i just snapped and my Energy in my body began to build with treminds power. And the ghost lost its grip over me and disappeared as i threw my fist straight for it. It hasn't come back senice Ive been Spiritual awakened from that.

Another time my first expernice was when i was in this room and this voice loud voice yelled to me. I jumped and left the room and never went in there again.

My Girl Friends friend as activity going on in her house were she has a ghost she can talk to and the other try's to kill her.

I have another friend that in her aunts house she was sleeping one night to here running up stairs and she thought her aunt had a dog. The next day she ask her aunt and her aunt say i have no dog in my house and my friend was like ok you have a ghost in your house then.

But heres the biggest expernice me and my two cuzins had we were near a swap playing i was like why is there an a house in that swamp there. They were like its always been there so one of my cuzins went in the house to see what was in side. all of a sudden he screamed out loud and jump out the second story window came running past me and my other cuzin and said get the hell out of here. My cuzin next me said your a chicken. I looked back and pointed with a droped mouth and my cuzin was like what he look his eyes opened up with fear and there was a white ghost in the window. The three of us ran back to the party we were having at his house.
The hard part was it was in plain day light and no one believes us what we saw to this day.

Another time was when i was walking in the cematary in plain day light coming home from exams. and i could feel death all around spirits moving about threw the tomb stones and i could feel a blood thirsty being following me around wanting my blood.

whatsuponplaneteart.com says that currently is a time for supernatural connections.

Samhein recently passed and the gate between our world and theirs has not returned to its ful lstrength. That could be one reason for current "supernatural experiences." However, I gather that alot of you who have posted in here have a very strong spiritual connection to other worlds.
Those of you who can see and feel negative activity could very well be people who are chosen to help bring in the age of Aquarius (I don't know if you believe in it or not), like I have been.

What kind of messages or feelings do you get when you see or sense this activity?

((feelings = emotions that you perceive as not your own))

I`m not sure about the aquarious age although a lot of aspects mentioned about that age coincide with what I have learned. Your question would have a very detailed reply. I might answer you in pm if you want.
