Flippy's eyes widened in shock as he watched the change fall to the ground. The sound made from the coins hitting off against the hard tiles seemed to send up the image of empty bullet rounds hitting the floor.

His pupils shrunk, his eyes turned yellow, he bared a sudden teeth full of fangs...

And then he blinked a few times, shaking his head as if he were trying to wake himself out of a daydream. A second later he was back to normal, as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occured. He waved again to Shay and strode over to her table, giving her another friendly smile. "Hey! Is this spot taken?"

"No." She replied, not thinking of her friends, soon coming. Although there were three chairs left and two friends coming, she knows that Basil doesn't care for outsiders. She turned to her shrimp once more and took the final bite from the platter, accidentally biting her tongue. She responded to the sudden pain by making a sound along the lines of, "nnnnnnnd."
Shay suddenly looked up at him and tried not to be shunned for making such an unpleasent sound. " Sorry, uhh.. hmm, mann... that hurt.."

Flippy tilted his head slightly to the side, his eyes looking concerned. "Oh, are you alright then?" He occupied the seat opposite of Shay before he could get an answer.

Meanwhile, Russell labored away in the kitchen, checking the food supplies, pre-heating meals, and generally cleaning up any other loose ends. He was treating this as if it were an inspection day. Even though it wasn't, he still had to make everything look and taste of top performance. One bad opinion from one of Shay's friends could send the future of the Fish Shack down the drain! He was so occupied by his labors that he had yet to even notice the arrival of Flippy.

Flippy tilted his head slightly to the side, his eyes looking concerned. "Oh, are you alright then?" He occupied the seat opposite of Shay before he could get an answer.

Meanwhile, Russell labored away in the kitchen, checking the food supplies, pre-heating meals, and generally cleaning up any other loose ends. He was treating this as if it were an inspection day. Even though it wasn't, he still had to make everything look and taste of top performance. One bad opinion from one of Shay's friends could send the future of the Fish Shack down the drain! He was so occupied by his labors that he had yet to even notice the arrival of Flippy.

Shay held in a blush, because she doesn't beleive in crushing on two boys at the same time. The aroma from the fish being pre-heated made her suddenly smile. While drifting off into the scent she searched her backpack and found her "Splendid the Super Flying Squirrel" mints. She opened the tin and placed a few mints in her mouth. She then held the open tin up to Flippy.
"Would you like one?"

He nodded and picked a mint out of the tin to have at a later time. He smiled at her again and gave a polite "Thank you," for the mint. He leaned forward a little in his seat, crossing his arms over the table. "You know, I really didn't expect to find anyone in here today. Lately this place has been pretty empty on most days. Are you by any chance a friend of Russell's?"

He nodded and picked a mint out of the tin to have at a later time. He smiled at her again and gave a polite "Thank you," for the mint. He leaned forward a little in his seat, crossing his arms over the table. "You know, I really didn't expect to find anyone in here today. Lately this place has been pretty empty on most days. Are you by any chance a friend of Russell's?"

"I guess I'm a friend," she said as she placed the mints in her backpack from which they came. " But I don't really talk to him, he's more of an aquaintance." She patted her knees and looked out the window at the unbusy street. She looked for cars but only found one, Pop's SUV. She squints to try to see the adorable Cub. Sadly, she found him, decapitated. She bit her lip to hold in a gasp. Because she was horrified by this she turned to Flippy and pretended she has seen nothing.
"What do you plan on ordering?"

He shrugged, totally oblivious to the carnage taking place just outside the window. Turning his head to have a look, he examined the menu posted behind the register. It was all sea-food, no surprises there. He rubbed his chin in thought. There was plenty that looked good. Maybe he could just ask Russell's opinion when he returned.

"Oh, I don't know... I'll decide later," he said, turning his attention back to Shay. It was then that he noticed how uneasy she looked, biting her lip as if she had just seen an infant's head severed. "You don't look very well today... Are you sure you're feeling alright?" He frowned slightly in concern for her.

It was then that he noticed how uneasy she looked, biting her lip as if she had just seen an infant's head severed. "You don't look very well today... Are you sure you're feeling alright?" He frowned slightly in concern for her.

"Oh, uhmm.. I'm okay." She looked outside to see Basil and Leo arguing about the address. Shay was ready to go outside to get them but she figured that'd be rude. She watched the two boys march into the other resteraunt down the street.
"Sorry.. I'm not really paying attention to you." Noticing the frown she straightened up. "I'm not really used to having a conversation."

Flippy just blinked at her for a second, then turned his head apon hearing the sounds of two boys argueing about something just outside. He watched as they entered a the diner down the street. "Were those your friends?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes." She looked back at him playing with her last bit of mint in her mouth. After a few silent moments the mint desolved, and all of the mouth watering scent returned. She looked at her watch, the kitchen, then at Flippy. "Why? What made you ask?"

He shrugged. "They don't seem to be very good with directions..." He smiled and gave a light chuckle, turning his head back around from the window. As he did, he happened to catch a glimpse of Pop kneeling out in the middle of the road and craddleing some mangled looking ball of fuzz in his hands. Flippy had never seen Pop looking so distressed before. "Oh no, what's ol' Pop doing out there?"

The second he turned his head back to Shay, Pop was his from behind by a speeding school bus, sending a spray of blood against the window behind Flippy.

He shrugged. "They don't seem to be very good with directions..." He smiled and gave a light chuckle, turning his head back around from the window. As he did, he happened to catch a glimpse of Pop kneeling out in the middle of the road and craddleing some mangled looking ball of fuzz in his hands. Flippy had never seen Pop looking so distressed before. "Oh no, what's ol' Pop doing out there?"

The second he turned his head back to Shay, Pop was his from behind by a speeding school bus, sending a spray of blood against the window behind Flippy.

Shay quickly noticed the splatered blood and panics. Breathing heavily she opened her backpack and searched for her inhaler, she forgot it at the track. Beacause of that she let out a scream in between two breaths. She looked back at Flippy trying to signal the forgotten inhaler. She stammered back knocking the chair over.

Flippy rose quickly out of his chair and rushed to Shay's side, trying despertly to calm her back down. Of course, he was still hadn't noticed the carnage just behind him.

"Oh my gosh! What's wrong? Are you having trouble breathing?" At first Flippy assumed that she may have slipped in another mint while he was watching her friends down the street, and was now choking on it. Acting fast, he moved behind her and wrapped his arms just under her chest to try and perform the heimlick (NO idea how to spell that one) on her. He gave her ribs a tight squeeze, not fully aware of his own strength.

Flippy rose quickly out of his chair and rushed to Shay's side, trying despertly to calm her back down. Of course, he was still hadn't noticed the carnage just behind him.

"Oh my gosh! What's wrong? Are you having trouble breathing?" At first Flippy assumed that she may have slipped in another mint while he was watching her friends down the street, and was now choking on it. Acting fast, he moved behind her and wrapped his arms just under her chest to try and perform the heimlick (NO idea how to spell that one) on her. He gave her ribs a tight squeeze, not fully aware of his own strength.

The sudden thrust caused her ribs to crack and eventually snap. She cried due to the pain. She grabbed his hands trying to loosen from his grasp. She tried to yell as loud as she could "Please, Stop." But had no results other than and few weezes and hacks.
