Pilate skidded around another tricky turn leading Wacheza around the loop of the boundary for what seemed to be the tenth time more or less. She was giggling to her self and he seemed to be enjoying the thrill of the game as well. It was something nice that was a rarity.
She wasnt paying attention as the fun had affected her line of judgement. Her speed did not adjust quick enough to the next go around and she found the sleek sand did not aid in a quick skid turn either. Her paws lost their bearings as she tripped. "oooophhhhh!" Was all she coud say now. Pilate had the speed but not the experiance of a full grown cheetah being so young.

Wacheza lept gracefully over her head, managing to avoid stepping on her completely. Then he turned around and grinned, tapping her head, "Tag. You're it."

Pilate got up slowly still in aww to be caught by this lion cheetah. He was faster than he looked that was one thing that was for sure.
"Okay, now its my turn to count correct?" Her bright pink eyes looked to him before she started to count slowly, "One......two... If you want to take this time to get a bit of a head start I am advising you do so... two and a half...." She gave him one of her off the wall grins, her humor was dry.

Wacheza gave her a small grin and then raced off while she counted. It was funny, he supposed... he liked Pilate, she was fun to be around. And very, very fast... though a little clumsey on the sand. Which he guessed was normal... After all, he had grown up there, most land was fairly flat.
"Catch me if you can!" He called over his shoulder as he continued to bolt back in the direction they had come from.

"Threeee!" Pilates voice almost sang the last number as she dashed off after the male lion cub. Her pink eyes watching him as dust and sand flew behind her giving the illusion of a green bullet almost.
Wacheza was pretty fast even as far as Pilates standards went. She had no other lion to compare him too, he was the first she had ever laid eyes on. A strange creature lions were indeed but close to cheetahs.
This time around Pilate was sure to dodge things that could make her slip up, stray rocks and branches only touched her shadow as she almost floated over the beach after the lion. She was gaining on him little by little but not by much . Wacheza clearly still had the advantage of territory.

Wacheza grinned, glad that Pilate was starting to get used to the territory. It made things so much more fun when she was more agile in the beach area. Wacheza was used to it, and Pilate was still smaller than he was. When she got older he had no doubt that she would be much, much faster than him.

Pilate continued her way towards Wacheza, his grace and speed were something to be admired. Pilate was more weary of her surroundings now but she did not have near as much grace as Wacheza had. It was almost beautiful to watch him run, every step well thought out it seemed.
Pilate, on the other hand, was intresting to watch, not beautiful, for the fact of her green fur and the dust storm behind her. Her grace was nearly there but not really, if you examined her closely you would see her foot work was more spontainous than thought out.
"I'm gonna catch you!" She cried out to Wacheza who was still ahead.

"Try it!" Wacheza called over his shoulder as he leapt up some rocks, a little slippery from the earlier tide, but not too bad. He could still make his way around them. He hoped it wouldn't be too hard for Pilate... but she would probably be alright.

Pilate followed after him leaping up the same rocks Wacheza had not knowing about the tide. She lost her padding for a brief moment but quickly recovered. This did slow her down a bit though giving Wacheza a pretty big lead again.
"I'll catch you yet!" She cried after him.

"If you want to catch me you'll have to go faster than that!" Wacheza called once again, dive-bombing back onto the beach and continuing to run.

Wacheza was fast for sure and graceful to top it all off but Pilate was a cheetah and wasnt going to let him get the best of her. With the most force she could muster she kicked off the ground sending her almost flying before she landed front paws first running after at a greater speed. The previous lead was now shortened and a determined Pilate was now starting to catch up with her play mate.
"I'll catch you yet!" She cried with a bit of a giggle to follow after. Youth was still strong in her veins.

Wacheza was suprised when Pilate began to gain a lot of ground as she ran towards him...soon she was going to catch him, and by nature she was a lot faster than he was. And seemed to have a lot more energy too. She was going to catch up with him soon, and he was certain he couldn' keep up how fast he was going for that much longer.

Pilate huffed and huffed, she was almost in reach of him if she risked a pounce. The soft sand beneath her feet gave her the drive she needed. Almost there, the tail was in sight when..
"AHhh crud!" Her back paw had touched out of bounce. Sand behind her created a nother dust cloud as she skidded to a stop, "By the rules I lose," She wasnt upset by this and would never lie over a silly little game, "Good game though, gave me a good workout."

Wacheza smiled a little bit, shaking his head a little bit, "Hey, it's alright, you were about to catch me anyway..." He sat down and caught his breath, "You're really fast, you know that?" It was true, she was faster than anyone he had ever met before. Though he had never met a full cheeta before either, nor raced any half-cheetas he had known in the past.

"Th-thanks," she was still embarrassed that she had stepped out of the area but it felt okay around Wacheza. He wasnt the judging type it seemed to her; in fact he was easy to trust.
"I hope other lions are as nice as you are," She gave him a toothy smile before getting up to shake some sand from her fur, "Cause your really nice Wacheza, probably the nicest thing Ive ever meet." Even though she had not met many things before in her short lifespan. She could feel a calmness from Wacheza that was something different.
