Personality:
Kidondo is wise and honourable. He is a dedicated lion with a strong heart and a strong sense of morals. He knows right from wrong and judges himself strongly upon his believes, which often leads to him being quite hard on himself. Yet despite this, he is very understanding of others and unlike most of his kin, is open-minded.
He has a love and thirst for knowledge and is always questioning, which has led him to the realisation that there is so much wrong with his pride's traditions.
Loving to bend rules and question them, Kidondo often lands himself into trouble. Yet he does so through love and the need to protect his kin - whom he loved dearly.
A good and natural leader, Kidondo would not ask any of his followers to do what he would not do himself. He has the knack for gaining trust and is respectful of everyone, even outsiders - who he has learned to trust as much as his own kin.
He is a deeply loving, strong-hearted lion, who is calm in the face of danger and hard to wind up. However, when Kidondo does get angry, his Firekin blood shows. He is a strong and proud warrior too, one who would die to protect his beliefs, and the ones he loves.

History:
When the day of the Firekin were at their strongest and their reign supreme a blessing was placed upon Paytah and his mate. A lone daughter was born, and a beauty at that. They named her Ripuka, meaning 'burst into flame' and there they raised her under the rules of tradition. She lived out her young days learning the ways of the warrior, understanding her power and the sign of her red coat. She was proud to be a firekin and was devoted to the pride.
It was on a day when the sun was high and the temperature hot when Ripuka was first approached by the rogue lion. His great form was as sandy as the desert around them and his eyes were as blue as the oasis. It was those eyes that enchanted her. Never before had she felt like this, her heart beat wildly within her chest and she felt drawn to him in a way she had to no other. Ripuka had fallen in love. Yet despite this she knew that what she felt was wrong, that no rogue could ever be welcomed into the pride. Her love for this male was treachery and she would be called traitor by her family and friends. However she met with him each day, thinking with her heart more than her mind.
One day when her father approached her and spoke of the strange scent that lingered her form that she realised what she had been doing. Stricken with fear she replied that she had killed a rogue that had been lurking on the border. Paytah believed her. The next day she returned to her rogue and told him to leave. Their love had to end, that much was clear.
She never saw him again.
It was a few weeks later that she noticed the slight bulge in her belly and felt the movement within her before she realised the extent of her treachey. Terrified of being slaughtered by the ones she loved she considered leaving before the signs of her pregnancy became clear. It was at around this time that Kinja appeared, a lioness who claimed to be a lost member of the pride.
On the night that Ripuka had chosen to leave a strange sight appeared before her. A lion with wings of mist and eyes that held rainbows within them. She would never forget his mischievious expression or the way his fur shimmered under the moonlight.
"Daughter of the firekin, why do you wander at the border?"
"A daughter of fire no longer I'm afraid." She grimaced, not daring to look back.
"Then I can help you."
"How?"
"I have magic that can stop the pride from following you, a magic that will save your life." He chuckled.
"Why help me?"
"Why not?" He yawned and spread his wings, a strange glow encasing his large frame. "I am the Lost God. They have forgotten you. Now you can be free."
"W-what do you mean forgotten me?" Ripuka snarled, lowering her position a little.
"Your time with them is lost. Now I must become lost once more." And as quickly as the great lion had appeared, he was gone.
With a heavy heart the crimson lioness moved across the desert, never once looking back to the pride that she loved. She lived as a rogue and walked the lands alone, struggling to hunt with her swollen belly. It was when she was close to starving that the cubs were born, two sons with clear markings of their father imprinted on their fur. In a rage, Ripuka tore them apart, the blood of her children staining her maw. It was their fault that she was alone now, their fault she was a traitor. Then she moved once more, the shadow in the dark.

Chunuka is as bright and cheerful as his pelt. He is very much like his mother in personality. Kind, peaceful and loving. He would never growl or glare at anyone. However, despite this, he finds it difficult to find friends and he is most often seen with his little sister Kiasi, who he has affectionately dubbed Kas. He is full of bmbling awkwardness, shy tendencies and has an ability to splutter words without thinking.
Some may think him a little bit of a twit, but Chunuka doesn't pretend to be intelligent. He lives the way that his parents taught him, to cherish life and, so long as he's not upset about something, he'll be quite happy to chatter the day away.
He is very wary of outsiders, however, and is actually quite closed-minded when it comes to rogues. He doesn't hate them but he certainly doesn't trust them, not straight away in any case.

History:
Chunuka was the eldest of his parent's second litter, brought up with love and joy in the Pridelands. He was given flirting lessons by his father at a young age, but he soon outgrew the teachings, not really understanding what flirting was for. He loves his father dearly but seemed to cherish his mother more, taking on every aspect of her ways to fit into his own personality.
Having five other brothers, Chunuka natrually grew very protective of his little sister and of all his siblings, he gets on with her the most. The two are not usually far away.
His life was not dramatic or angsty, he grew up in a normal family in a lands that was cheerful and fear-free. That was until the day his father declared that their mother Maawio had died and that he was leaving. Desperately alone, Chunuka went in search for his sister to tell her the terrible news.
A few days after Amari's departure and the terrible news had been given, Maawio turned up again out of the blue. Thinking it a miracle, Chunuka is now trying his best to keep his family together, cheering up his mum, helping Kas with her newborns, and waiting eagerly for the day of his father's return.

Jini is a sweethearted girl deep down. She cares about her friends dearly and would never ever hurt anyone she cared about. She is full of life, determined and stubborn but also desperate for revenge for her mother's death.
It her need for revenge that brings out her dark side. In fact she almost changes completely when she thinks about the lions responsible. She is fiercely angry and desperately wounded from the loss of her mother whom she loved so much.
She finds calm in the twinkle of the stars, believing that her mother now lives up there, looking down on her.
And, Jini is also desperate to prove herself strong, desperate to overcome her anthritus to become a strong and honourable lioness.

History:
She was born in the Kusini lands to a mother who had recently broken free of slavery. There she lay, next to her siblings, listening to the stories that her mother would tell her, true stories and made up stories. One of these was about the Firekin, the Firekin who had enslaved Kiburi and driven her to such weakness.
Even still, Jini was happy, she had all she wanted and so long as everyone stayed beside her she was content.
One day, as Jini entered her juvenile stage, her mother died in the den she had been lying in for the past few days. She died of her injuries and the suffering she had endured at the hands of the Firekin in the desert.
From that day a hate niggled into Jini's heart, festering there with the passing time. It was this hate that drove her out into the roguelands where she met a fellow juvenile with pink eyes. His name was Tope.
They made instant friends and they stuck together through thick and thin, and when it seemed Tope could not go back to his own family, Jini brought him with her to the Kusini.
As adults, they declared their love for one another and plot for the dark act that will follow in the future.

Personality:
Ivie is disturbed, to put it lightly. She was born a seer but not any ordinary seer. She sees visions through touch and cannot control what she sees. As a child her visions terrified her because they only brought terrible things. She thought herself a freak, cut herself off from everyone because she was afraid of getting touched. And then Fedha'kialio came. He became her best friend and unaware that she was being used, she fell in love with him. It started as a crush, as all things do, but eventually she completely fell for him. When she declared her love, he rejected her and broke her heart. But not one to give up she chased after him, discovering that he had a mate, a gentle and kindly mate. Filled with despair, bitter envy and grief Ivie left the lands where she had hoped to settle and met, by chance, Fedha's brother; Dharba. He comforted her and seeing that she could use his kindness spent the night with Dharba in hope for children that she could pretend were Fedha's own. Her wish was granted and she became pregnant, but her attempt at fooling Fedha failed. Her grief turned to hate. Around this time Dharba returned, discovered her lies but decided to take her back if she would have him. She agreed, but her children who had discovered her lies had all but gone. So, with Dharba she left for new lands, only she couldn't find it in her heart to love him and after a while she said her goodbyes to him and parted.
Ivie is craving love and attention. Rejected by the lion she loved, unable to love a lion who loved her, hated by her own children, she is feeling desperately low and depressed. Because of this she has slowly craved male attention and flirts with the intent of spending nights with males who are willing. During this time she hopes for good visions to comfort her and a male she can find to heal old wounds. She may come across as mad or insane, and really, she is.

Personality:
Ka'ohu was born to a 'rough around the edges rogue' and a Mistweaver who was child to Maji and Ciyari. However, Ka'ohu has little grace and elegance of her mother's ancestry and takes everything from her father's side. She speaks like a 'commoner' acts like a 'commoner' and looks like a 'commoner'. Her friends are the fleas that live upon her very own back and she has never taken the time to groom or clean herself. Her fur is normally dusty or muddy, occasionally matted. She romps like a wild-child, no loyalty to anyone and as free as a bird.
However, she has a good heart and she is surprisingly easy to get along with - so long as you don't mind her appearance. If she likes you she'll play harmless pranks and she'll always be laughing or smiling. If she doesn't like you the likelihood is she'll ignore you until you go away. Gruff, resiliant and bold is Ka'ohu and she's certainly not a character to take too lightly. She believes in inner beauty and sees it wherever she goes.

Aapep is a quiet soul. He doesn't speak much, doesn't really feel the need. He's a shy and timid sort though he has a good heart. He adores his mother more than anyone else in the world and looks to her for protection from the world even as he grows.
Being so shy, Aapep doesn't have much of a way of expressing his feelings and when he feels angry or sad he'll just curl up quietly and hope it goes away, or that was until he discovered dancing.
When Aapep is introduced to dancing he will use that to express his emotions and release his fears.

Born to a superstitious little family in the desert, it is only to be expected that this little one would be superstitious too. His superstition has almost sent him a little doo-lally. He's not smart nor strong, he barely knows how to use his fangs.

Personality: This young male is a part of the musical pride, the Nchi'mahadhi. He has recently returned from his drum quest and finally found his inspiration thanks to the rain Goddess. Now he is going to try and settle into playing the drum and finding hiw own beat amongst the others in the pride.
As he grew up, Kani'noe found good friendship in a young female in the pride called Mawi Mai and has unwittingly found he has a crush on her. However, when he discovers she has taken another as her mate and may possibly be expecting cubs, he delves into a state of depression. During this time I want friends and others to help him snap out of it.
Kani'now is a sweet, sensitive gentleman who has good manners and a kindly heart. He is, however, a little shy and timid, especially around those he does not know well.

History: Kani'noe was born into the Nchi'mahadi lands to a single mother. His family were always very close-knit and loving. There was nothing but love and tenderness and he grew up safe and sound.
However, his musical talent never seemed to grow with him and he constantly battled his inner demons about being a failure. That was until he witnessed his first rain shower. For him, rain was a muse, it was the key that fitted into the heart of music. It was the rhythm for which he'd take his inspiration and find the beat in his own song.
