A Time Before Time

As Belle and Christian walked further into the forest the smell became more prominent. After ten minutes of walking, Christian peeled back some ferns to reveal the most beautiful clearing Belle had ever seen. Smiling, Belle hugged Christian while walking into the clearing. "It will be ours, I'll make it so no one else can find it," Christian said, glad that Belle liked it.

Kayanna growled softly. The creatures appeared a few yards away. They looked human, but they didn't smell it.
She felt the need to run out and attack them, but the instinct was quieted by the louder sense of stratagey. 'Don't give away your possition unless your opponent is making a move,' her father had always told her, it was the Samamish's anceint rule. She prepared for a lunge, just incase though.

Belle found a log to sit on and said, "We should add a pool and we could..." But before she could finish, Christian cut her off, "We're not living here, this is enemy territory. Luckily after we improve it, they won't be able to get in, or find it." Belle suddenly getting what Christian was saying asked, "There's one near here isn't there?" Christian gave a solem nod and said, "Shape shift, and find out what if they'll harm us." Belle got up, and looked back one time before changing into a giant black wolf, and leaving the clearing.

Kayanna's eyes oppened wide. A werewolf? she wondered, dissmissing the thought, because the outsider didn't smell like a wolf. The language that these people used was strange, Kayanna barely understood it. What she did get, was mostly from bodylanguage and the tense sound in their voices. They knew that she was here, and they were looking for her.
There was little point in staying underneath the ferns when they were going to find her anyway, so she got up. The leaves of plants rustled, clearly giving away her position, so she circled around, facing the intruders. She didn't move into the clearing though, she made sure of that, still taking cover within the shadows. Surley they couldn't tell what she was.

It smells bad! Belle complained to Christian when she got out of the clearing. It doesn't speak english Christian said after going through Kayanna's thoughts. Well can I communicate with it?
Yes, thoughts don't have a language.
After Christian said that, Belle told Kayanna, Hi, I'm Belle, and this, Belle jerked her head towards Christian who was by her side, is my husband Christian.

background info: Aadi is only part samamish, her mother came from France, but sailed on the wrong ocean, landing here near Forks. Her father fell in love with Aadi's mother the first time he saw her. She is named Aadi which means beginning, because of her mothers new life.

Aadi walked around the woods, looking for Kayanna, she had heard her horn. Giving up on her skirt, she changed into her wolf form, and yelled Kayanna! where are you?

Kayanna growled, backing away from the creatures. Something wasn't right about them, they weren't ... human.
Kayanna's head jerked to the side, Aadi? What is she dooing?

Who's doing something? Aadi asked, confused. Did I miss something?

What are you doing? Kayanna answered, You're gonna give yourself away, stay back before they notice you. Kayanna though, could already smell Aadi, and knew that it was already too late.
Turning her atention back to the pale creatures, she growled.

Okay, Belle thought to Christian, not friendly.


Aadi was confused, Who's they?

I don't know, Charity told Aadi. They seem new to this land.

Charity started circling the creatures, growling, and sneezing every now and then. Their scent irritated her sensitive nose. As soon as she was in front of Aadi, she stopped, growling louder. Sitting down, she howled, a sign to her people that there was something out here, and not to get too close.

Frances de Lafayette walked casually down a dear path on the western side of the rockies. Why run when there is no food to be found? he thought to himself. A waste of energy, not that one of his kind could waste energy. Laughing, he continued down the path.
A faint howl sounded in the distance, one that even with his amaizing hearing could barely be heard. It sounded like a distress or warning call. Frances grinned, he always had liked wolf blood, though humans did taste better. He started to run, zooming across the valleys and hills, following the noise.

Aadi looked curiously at the large black wolf, and the pale white man next to it. She heard what the wolf said, and answered, more politely than Kayanna had, saying It's nice to meet you?

Belle sighed glad they had gotten an answer back.

Kayanna walked backwards...slowly, unsure as to wether or not these beings were freindly.


Frances's red-brown eyes searched the valleys that he passed. None of them had any wolves or other animals occupying them, and he began to get very annoyed. Then he smelled something in the next clearing, and immediatly stopped in his tracks. Two other vampires were there, along with other creatures. If he just went by sound, he would say that at least one of them was a wolf, but the odd smell gave him doutbs. Slowly, he crept up to the clearing, and sure enough there were 1.... 2.... 3.... oversized wolves, and a tall pale vampire. The black wolf though, appeared to be a vampire in disguise, and he was instantly curious as to what was going on.
