Dua doesn't make any sense whatsoever! Those duas are more concerned about purging devils and whatnot from every corner and every step you take than praising Allah. I don't mind thanking Allah for my meals and praying that way...but dua for entering the bathroom? That's just plain stupid. Why would you have to apologize for a bodily function that's natural and being controlled in a certain area???? It's just superstitious nonsense.

Theoretically yes. I'm a terribly practical Muslim (it drives my mother nuts sometimes) and I really would rather earn my respect through helping others and doing what is right. Like volunteering for community service, taking care of my siblings and my mother when my father goes on rampage, pray my 5 times (and at meals!) and through hard work at school and work.
