Saying Kawaii = Abuse of the Japanese language. Lolwut?

I don't mind the mix of languages.I mean I think it is the over use of the word "Kawaii" that annoys people.

You're right. That person was being a grammar Nazi about someone using a foreign word. As long as the person is using the word properly - or showing the wrong way for telling a joke - what does it matter what country the person was born in for what language they use.

I think it's because some people do go overboard with it sometimes, making it annoying, and it ends up putting anybody else who uses it even once in the same category as them

it doens't bother me, if they use Kawaii sometimes.

I usually mix Japanese, English and Swedish daily '^^
so when I talk, I talk funny....


anyway,
what do annoys me if people
types/says; DesuDESUDESUDESU DESU all the time. (and only desu)

sure its cute but it does not mean anything.
its just the end of the sentence and says that something is something.

I have studied japanese for 1 year, so yeah sometimes it bothers me when people says some random words on japanese and tells it means something it does not mean.

but using the word "kawaii" once is not a way to rape the Japanese language.
