It was... reassuring when Dysi had stayed for such a long period of time. Deep inside the den.. where she minorly watched as Dysi's children ran about.. though Nanashi shared her den with her.. she had told him. Dysi.. was the father of these cubs and needed him there. To see their children. Though.. somehow. She needed Nanashi too.. he was becoming more prodoment for her. Some thoughts and feelings were rather confused over the two.. Nanashi helping her after the obession "STAY HERE" from linje.. and her escape to the pride. Why had she stayed there for so long... because she was used to pretending.. Until it cracked. That simple elegant mask.. [c]

(1:04:19 AM): Her stomach swelled up like a balloon.. Lifting her body was becoming more tasking but she would never tell anyone.. Lifting her head up as her ears also followed. "I hate not doing anything." hating the pampering just because she had a stomach that was HUGE. Where was Mana.. where was the one that would follow her without looking at her like a lover.. She looked to the side.. Seeing Dysi.. and his children. Would they be as beautiful as Dysi's children? That bitter sweetness as she somewhat befriended the cub.. vailea. Slowly she started to walk out... all her movements quiet.. she had slept closest to Nanashi.. within the same den. How hurt was she to pick between the two. It ... wasn't fair. Telling him Dysi was just a friend.. and their mating was BEFORE him. Finally showing herself to the darkness of the pride.. Everyone asleep.. As she made her way down to the encircling path.. down to to enterance of the pride.. Quietly.. mysteriously. The sun would be rising soon.. in a few hours. The scared.. hopefull mother.
Dysi loved to play with his daughters, they were getting bigger each day and more playful. Vailea was getting like him, always moving around, but he hoped she didn't get like him in that she left the pride. He didn't trust the rogues to leave her in peace, and worried that if she left, she would get hurt. It was good, he mused, affectionately gazing at his sleeping babies, that he had stayed in the pride recently. It meant that the cubs could be safe within the pridal walls and without harm. Of course, he hadn't really liked being so stationary but for Nyoka it was worth it.

Nanashi was a bad idea though, he mused, with a faint scowl. The three of them, along with Dysi's cubs, had stayed in the same den for weeks now and, while Nanashi was a nice man and fairly attractive in his own right, Dysi didnt' like him sleeping so close to Nyoka. When the cheetah male had gone to sleep, Dysi had occasionally crept over to lay beside Nyoka for a little while, curling around her but he had had to go back to his side of the den before they all awoke, or he would have gotten in trouble.

Lifting his head, he watched his girls curled up asleep and glanced towards where Nyoka had been laying, her belly swollen with his cubs, he thought, with a grin, but it fell from his face when she wasn't there. His eyes widened and he jumped to his feet, carefully dislodging the two sleeping girls hwo had been curled up against him. He ran to the exit of the den, carefully breathing so he could keep Nyoka's scent and be able to follow her with ease. He could see her, as he had run most of the way and her pace was slower due to her large belly, but he didn't approach, watching over her carefully.
First pregnancy.. it was rough on her body and she fainted many times over. Even gotten killed but Linje had saved her. Maybe it was that - she had stayed pretending to be the perfect mate for him... Something. She couldn't place it.. Where the lions and leopards had a curfew. She did not.. Not noticing Dysi following.. all her senses failed her when she was..well. Preggers. It was only until she was in the forest ring that surrounded and protected the pride is when she felt someone following.. And even that. She would not turn around.. she would show whoever was following that she was still the leader. Even weak and pregnant. Traveling at a quicker pace now but not in a run. No.. far from a run.. Like a jogging as she looked about ahead of her.

(1:33:14 AM): She needed to find prey.. something to show off her skill and strength. though if she kenw it was dysi following her.. She wouldn't have gone through this length. More so she would have let him be beside her. No.. if only she looked behind her. Once she got in to the long grasses.. Ahead..was where zebra and elk were both intermingled and sleeping.. Not to far away. Her maw became wet.. as she licked every inch of her maw.. Instantly slinking down to the long grasses height.. [c]
Moving quickly in to the grasses and slinking towards the zebra and elk.. see. She loved the babies.. they were small and easy but when she wanted to show off it had to be bigger. The zebra. Slinking like any prey animal would nearer and nearer to her prey.. As the day slowly tried to creep up on her.. But still. The night was dark and it was easy for her to snag a bite.
Dysi watched as she began to move more quickly, and fastened his pace as well, knowing she was trying to get away, or at least, put some distance between them. She likely noticed him following her, and was trying to stop him from her. He frowned as she crept towards the prey animals, what was she doing? She was crazy! She would harm herself and the babies if she did that, it was stupid.
He moved quickly, purposely not hiding himself in an attempt to scare them off. “Nyoka, my love,” he called out, hoping to catch her before she bolted towards the prey animals who were quickly high-tailing it out of there. If she was hungry, he would hunt her something.
Her body was tensing and ready to strike.. it was just a matter of time before just seconds before she was about to throw herself at one- Dysi's presense made them rile up and start running and bucking out. A growl was rumbling in her throat as she turned.. her face.. was not a pleasant one. A snarl.. as she sparked out. "Are you trying to scare them off!" Seeing Dysi.. but now she was already angry.. now she couldn't prove that she was strong.. and that instant her eyes looked at his. A strictness before she turned away and started to wildly run towards the running elk.. It was hard following them.. especially at her rate and it made her cring inside. [c]

(2:58:33 AM): As she made a run for it.. her speed exceeding that of her current condition.. her prey was set and her eyes were on the prize.. A child.. that couldn't make it..but was giving her a run for it.. Sprawling her legs about. But the stress on her stomach was about to fill her body.. and her eyes almost went hazy for a moment. Her speed going down just a tad for it.
Dysi felt bad scaring away the prey, but he didn't want her to injur herself, and snarled when she started after them anyway. He bolted forward, trying to catch her to make her stop but he knew she wouldn't, not until she had killed her prey or hurt herself trying. So instead of trying to get her to stop, he ran towards the prey, cutting Nyoka off before she could reach it. It would likely send her into him, but he was firm in his stance.
“Stop!” He snarled. “You'll hurt yourself and it's not just YOU you're responsible for.” He said, standing firm as she moved towards him. The prey child was likely far away now, his stance blocking Nyoka from chasing it again.

(3:25:42 AM): Her stomach was paining her and it went as far as her body could go.. and it was starting to hurt... and when her eyes went in to focus again.. her legs were trying to stop.. and haulting was even harder to do.. Having to step her paws in an upward fashion to even stop.. her body moving side ways as she slammed herself in to him. Pained. But the look on her face was not happy. A thud as she almost bounced off of him and caught her weight on the other side. Snarling at him as her body lowered in a defensive sorta way. Huffing as she gave out a yell. "IM NOT USELESS!" Her breathing was heavy.. staring at him in a way she couldnt describe ever looking at him.

Dysi scowled heavily at her, uncaring of the pain which raked through his body when she crashed into him, he didn't even show the pain. “I know you're not!” He snarled back in annoyance. “You're are the person of most use in the pride but you won't be able to be of use to the pride if you injur yourself or our cubs by being so STUPID as to try and catch your own food.” He shook his head, his anger slipping from him as he moved forward, nuzzling her cheek. “My love, by doing what you did, you could have killed yourself in your weakened state, or killed our cubs, is that what you really want? For the sake of your pride? If you were hungry, I would have fetched something for you.”

(3:51:54 AM): She shook off the tension in her body and only stumbled forward.. but she didn't fall. Catching herself as she wnet in to a hunch position.. Her ears that had went up and pointed forward.. had instantly fallen back.. Her head rising. "I can catch my own food.. these..things won't take strength away." It was a lie. They had already done that and she scowled back.. staring at him.. until he took a step forward and nuzzled her. Eyes closing as she tried to calm the body down. Her stomach contracting.. And a pain.. made her toss her face away.. His words.. sank in. "I feel sickened that I have to have another care for me so much to even catch my own prey for me." Lifting her head.. with that look of a worrior. "Do you think that is not useless... even for a leader." Huffing.. and that instant.. water trailed down her leg. [assuming that cheetahs waters break? XD ] And instantly collapsed.. in a scowling anger. The sun was slowly.. edging.. and a thin line showed across the horizon's touch..

Name Meaning: Foot print in the sand
Personality: As a cub she was quiet but clingy. A very dependent personality and it didn't help when she knew the truth of her parents and the death in the eyes of the male whom killed them. She stuck close to Kuba and when it was time for her naming quest. She tried to rebel.. but knew it to be the one thing she HAD to do. Reluctant. She left. Being an dependent personality- she leaned against many shoulders and tried to horde others but they too had to leave and disappear for their own reasons leaving her heartbroken each time. Some even died. For each time a bond was broken.. a little bit of her died. Until. She met an old lion. Whom taught her many things.. and eventually broke her dependent personality by leaving and coming back to her. Having to hunt because he told her 'she needed to do it herself'. She became close to the lion.. but upon her leaving day she was finally independent. Still tender.. but stoic all in the same. Being now like a ghost- as she is willing to help aid others as the male did to her.

Your 'mother' who has always had time for you and your siblings has a new litter and no longer has space in the family den for you and your adult siblings. How does this make you feel? She had been traveling for a long time. She needed to find a 'name' for herself or so they told her. It was a harsh time.. what would fit her. Traveling for so long.. had given her time to think. She found a place MUCH different from where she lived. The swamps... where a foot print, was forever made and many years for now. Maybe that footprint would still be there. But her feet took her to a place where footprints could be blow away in an instant. She met a lion..that had walked on these lands for several years.. old. Wise looking. Normally she would not approach one as him, knowing that there were many prides far and wide and some were not as friendly as others.. But. She was drawn to him.. and a sandstorm led to a knockout. Resulting in waking up to seeing him care for her.
She was in a den but it was hard. A ruin, but she did not know of this. Awoken by the winds slamming on hard den's walls. Ears prompted up and he turned to her.. A strong face.. but old and as if he had known all of her but did not all in the same. "You are not from these lands." He said to her and immediately she awoke her body in a cautious and read to run mode. "Calm. The winds of might can not touch us here." She calmed. Her stay there was not long too long but the one thing that stuck to her was... A story he had told her, he had many of them but this had changed her. Mind. And heart.
'I did not always live in these lands.. but I stayed after coming to a revelation.
Each time I stepped. A paw print was made. But as soon as I took another. That
past paw print. Dissipated. Do you know what that means?'
She shook her head.. But looked at him as they walked across the sand.
'That each time.. I stepped. A new step. The old was consumed by the sands and the wind.
I thought to myself.. and each time I made another. Still, I do. That the past... is behind me. That with each passing step.. I can change. Direction. Mind. Body. And even if the past was bad.. I can look ahead and know.. I can make a better future. One without looking back. Knowing this.. I let go of many things and began to feel lighter. I still remember the past.. but it is behind me.. and I dwell on it no longer. ' A smile crossed his maw.. it was kind and unbelievably not judgemental. 'Look behind you.'
And she did.. indents and slight indications of paw prints.. Side by side were there.. but with each passing second. The winds took it to a new place.. and the sands had become perfect once again..
Days past and it was time for her to leave.. and he knew. Her personality had been so.. attached. It was like she would shatter.. but once she grew. The sands of time touched her paws.. and she looked down. Hurt. For she knew what they meant. "Goodbye." His voice was strong but tender. She turned to him with eyes.. so kindly yet innocent. She knew she had to go.. and when she left. That goodbye was taken with her.
She came home to see, just what that meant. But now it was her name.. and with every passing event. It meant more and more to her. Her 'mother' she had clung so close to.. had children now another litter from the ones whom had been like litter mates to her. This time. They were small.. oh, so small. Her ears went back as she looked at the new life in the den.. but when she looked in to those maroon like eyes. She knew. This.. was no longer her home. If she had stayed clingy it would have hurt but. She knew it was like the paw prints in the sand.. it too will change and be set in place like Kabusha's new life. She nodded.. accepting her 'mother's ' apology in her eyes when she nuzzled a cub. "I am happy for you, mother." Tender.. but bittersweet in her voice. Then turned.. and looked around in the swamp. It was time for her to find her place in the swamp.. and she could do it. Finally, on her own.
What are your plans for Imbali? I plan on her trying to find reconciliation with Kabusha after the cubs get a little older. To be there and have a constant connection with the family but scarce all at once. Like a ghost of some sort.. and a plot where her mate will have to be keep 'following' after her to chase her down. To get her to 'settle in the sands' in her terms. Trying to get her not to disappear again and settle. She won't immediately settle in one place.. til she comes to terms with said mate. 83
