Fall Anime Semester 2008

I saw many new awesome looking Anime to watch, but most notably..

Today in Class 5-2 (I have been waiting for a full on series for this forever. I have seen the 4 OVA episodes).

Jigoku Shoujo Season 3.

Ef - A Tale of Melodies (I loved Ef - A Tale of Memories).

Kemeko Deluxe.

Tytania (look pretty awesome).

Yozakura Quartet.

Shikabane Hime Aka.

ToraDora.

Yes, as expected, I do like more "futuristic" series, as well as Romance.

Also, I expect a "wtf" from the second season of Haruhi and it will get slotted into a random prime time slot one day without anyone knowing unless they are watching TV at the time.

That would top the "Broadcast Order" from the first season.

...at least you have influence.

Yozakura Quartet is great, except it's like Naruto with too many flashbacks 3nodding

Flashbacks are a good technique if executed correctly.

Stellvia of The Universe is built upon scenes which occurred in the past, which means there are many flashbacks, however, the series is simply too beautiful for words.

The entire series of Stellvia (26 episodes) beat most of the Gundam franchise in the Space Age genre.

No, I mean after reading the manga, they have an awesome first few chapters, then go into boring flashbacks. ;o

Not So Common Cold

I dunno if this is a kinda stupid thing to worry about, but since Haruhi is already licensed, is anybody gonna sub it?

Yeah, generally different series come under different licenses. Since The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is a separate series (yet a sequel to the last), it will still get subbed.

More or less, TMoHS is based upon the first book with influences from the second and the second series is based upon the 4th book, with flash backs to the 3rd.

After all, the trailer for the new series WAS a Live Action scene from the 3rd book. Of course, the 3rd book is the reason why Haruhi goes "Have I met you before" in The Melancholy of Haruh Suzumiya.

I don't wanna spoil it for those who haven't read the books though.

I was slightly disappointed in Kyo no Go no Ni. It's basically a remake on television Dx
