I find it funny how people refer to gaming girls to be a rarity. Especially in this interactive age of gaming.

Many girls will be casual and will play a few games here and there, but there aren't that many who are really into games...

I just find that they don't go out of their way to have some fun. People who read gaming news are the oddities really.

True. Which leads to my point that many "hardcore" or "dedicated" gamers are unattractive. There are many exceptions (Since there are a few billion people on the planet, there are probably a few million attractive from both genders) but the ratio of male to female in this demographic tends to be around 3 to 1, thus making it harder to find an unclaimed "hardcore" female gamer.

And yes all of those numbers were completely made up, but seemed reasonable.

Actually, given the GameSpot/IGN/etc. population, it seems to be more 5:1 of which ~30% are RPG players.

That actually sounds more accurate. In general for the entire human population there are more unattractive than attractive humans, and with such a small (in relation) group of individuals it is typically difficult to find an unclaimed attractive female "hardcore" gamer.

This was my entire original statement. But I had to clarify since people get offended so easily.

Lol. Usually I end up trying to find someone who is at least understanding of geek culture, however, especially in the high school setting this tends to be a pain in the a**. So, I end up just waiting until college when I'll be uber.

That's how I met ~4 Pokemon players; one being female. Then we all went and played Maple Story for two years. And then we moved on.

Also, lawl, I remember the 8 of us (edit: we found more) being split between the two because some started earlier than others and all those complications.
