Background/history: All in all a happy cub, Nembo's world changed when a plague struck the small community of lions he lived in with his mother and siblings. Determined to see her children survive, Nembo's mother abandoned both he and his siblings, leaving them to the world in hopes that somehow they would survive, promising that she would return for them when she could. One by one the six siblings dwindled down until only Nembo remained.
Now a juvenile bordering adolescence he found himself crossing paths with a young lioness who had stories to tell of her own. Kivumbi's story moved him to telling his own, finding solace in the company of someone after spending so much time alone. Together they made a pact; they would stick together and work on gaining strength to overcome all obstacles so that they would never be alone again.
Their quest involved traveling, which neither seemed to mind much in the end, little stops along the way here and there proving educational while bringing them closer together through both their strengths and their weaknesses. Recently they've found themselves wandering closer to lands in the north where they've heard whispers of a pride that accepts warriors...
Personality: Strong and steady like the earth itself, Nembo often sees himself as being more in touch with the world around him than with others, most likely do to the time he spent alone before meeting Kivumbi. He listens for words that aren't said, which are often more important than the ones that are. He sees little point in useless words, speaking only when he has something of relevant importance. Some often mistake his silence for a simple mind, which is proven wrong when he
does speak, often right before accepting the challenge to defend himself.
Strengths: Physical strength and partial training; picked up many things while traveling the rogue lands. Not easily distracted from a task. Sneaky b*****d when need be.
Weaknesses: Quick to anger when called an idiot for lack of words, although he's come a long way in learning to control the snarly impulses.
Soft spot for ladies, especially the pretty ones. Can't seem to tell them 'no' unless he knows that whatever they want is something that will wind up harming them, or him.
