Tariki seemed completely oblivious to Moyenda's inner turmoil. She did notice he seemed a bit sad or reserved, but she hadn't known him that long, so she chalked it up to simply being part of his personality.
She continued to survey the surroundings, trying to etch the image into her memory. It truly was one of the most beautiful things she had seen. She found herself reflecting a bit as she looked.
"I can see why this would be an ideal place to settle down. I've always been a bit afraid to pick one place. I don't know what it is. I've traveled my whole life. It's just become such a part of me that I guess I'm afraid to stop. Don't know what would happen. Fear of the unknown, I guess."
She hadn't really intended to carry on so. Something about the place and Moyenda just seemed to make it okay.
"Though if I were to ever settle down, I'd like some place like this."
And who knows, perhaps she would.
