Do you like the name 'Renesmee'?

Its alright. A bit strange, but okay.

It threw me off. I had to pause every time her name showed up because I had to think of the correct pronunciation in order to read it. Making "Nessie" short for Renesmee also seems strange... "Ren" sounds so much cuter.

Isabella Renesmee (My wife might not approve of Renesmee, and in that case, the middle name would be Allison or Marie) .

I agree. I didn't really think that "Nessie" really made any sense coming from her name. Ren does sound better.
But the part where Bella says "You nicknamed my daughter after the Lochness Monster?!?" was funny.

I don't like the name. As someone said before me, putting two names together doesn't create a unique name in my opinion. It's nice that Bella (Stephenie) wanted to honor Renee and Esme and Carlisle and Charlie, but I personally don't like the name Renesme at all.

Combining two names together to form a ridiculoussly long,"Unique" name is what suethors do. (Then again, this IS Twilight... sweatdrop )
"Renesme" sounds like a sneeze, or something.
I call her Ness.

Personally, I don't mind the name.
I think her name should have been switched around, though. I liked her middle name more.
But I do like her name. It's unique, like she is.

As some other people have stated before me, taking two names and smooshing them together to form a new name doesn't make the name unique, it just sort of makes you look a bit like an idiot. Especially if the name turns out to be really, really weird (like the mutant spawn). If you can't tell, I don't like the mutant spawn.

Carlie worked, because it's an actual name, just spelt a different way. I think Meyer could've done a better job (and have made me like the mutant spawn a little more) if she'd picked another name, one that seemed to be a little more... normal, then I might have liked the book a little more.
