On his piece, not every DEagle right?
Honestly, if they all did that, that's epic fail in my book.

What if you need one more shot to take down that hopped up druggie or that Elephant wouldn't go down on the first 3?
Probably just his piece. Also, I don't know if the recoil was really manageable or if he was just good, but the first time he ever shot it, he hit with about 4/8 shots (with one failure-to-fire) at 50 feet on a 1' square. That's pretty impressive, in my book.

We can't be sure if the failure was the gun's fault or not, 'cos he bought Remington ammo. It was all the gun store had.

1/2 @ 50' 1' square?
Desert Eagle?
That doesn't seem extremely bad.

Failure at what accuracy? It might, but I would really think that the Brand name ammo would be better, but then again this isn't an ideal world.

Nah, it was a light strike. The slide wasn't closing all the way. Both of us have had pretty shitty experience with Remington ammo, so we can't say for sure if it was the gun's fault for sticking or the ammo's fault for not providing adequate recoil force.

Perhaps it was old ammo?
But if you hadn't tried it with any other brand it could still be the gun.
Nah, he bought the box in the last couple weeks.

Could be, but I wouldn't say it's not the ammo either.

Is there any quality control on the stuff that's left on the shelves?

Does it seem to cycle fine by hand, and has he inspected it closely?

It seems to work fine when he cycles it by hand, but we can't get ammo that's not Remington to test it with. My guess is that nobody really notices because most .44s are wheelguns, and you don't need recoil to cycle a wheelgun.

I've heard SPG can be an epic b***h about shipping ammo.

Anywho, not my gun, not my problem. He's probably already sold it by now anyway. xd

Lol yeah he probably sold it now.

As for the S&H charges, I can't remember what they charged me.
It couldn't be much because then I would have just gone into the store and got it.

I think when you start getting the bulk items, like a can or two of ammo, your S&H skyrockets.

Not so much, actually. I bought a 50lb safe from them, and it only cost me ten bucks in shipping.

You're so lucky you can just drive to their store... xp

Yeah I know.
I get so many cool deals too.
What you see in the magazine isn't exactly what you get in the store. Although the store and warehouse are in the same building.

In the 'public' area they have a bunch of stuff, in fact, that's where I found my Geiger Counter or Dosimeter if you will.
I almost had a Swiss or Dutch Oxygen tank with hoses and that, in case the tank submerges in water, but it was about 60 or 80 bucks and she wouldn't give me the money.

*tear*
That would have been so cool.
Milsurp diving...
Epic.
I'm sure I could have MacGyvered up a diving mask out of a gas mask for it. I'm just not sure if I would trust it for going too deep unless I attach a check valve.
I'm sure after my kind of work, it'll look like some kind of Steam Punk lake diving thing.

You do get a bit of a price break on what is in the store but not what's in the warehouse, that's the only thing that sucks about it.

Another thing that I'm fortunate about but don't wreak the benefits;
Magnum Research, Inc., 7110 University Avenue N.E., Minneapolis Minnesota.
