The basis here is that the cultures make it seem different, Like How Arabs go to Mecca for pilgrimage or how Hebrews have their sabbath on Saturday. The lifestyle seems to affect it greatly but regardless it seems like just different forms of praying to the same God.

Haydar: my point was, I believe we worship the same god, the only difference is the name... Yes, and you're right, that, culture makes it seem different.
And, another thing, do all Christians believe that Jesus (pbuh) is god?

I mean I've seen Jews who simply make fun of Jesus (A), And Christians that make fun of Muhammad (S). Why not just respect and believe what you can believe? Um. Jesus and Paul told Christians to be respectful. In fact, Paul exemplifies being respectful of other religions~ I try to exemplify him as well, by putting PBUH of Mohammad.
And it isn't like Christians are the only ones that make fun of Mohammad (PBUH). Atheists at my school (which make up the majority) easily find faults and laughter at him. Also, it isn't like Muslims don't point a finger at Jesus~
I would also like to add that "God" is just a name we humans attribute to a divine-being. One could say Brahma is God, but that doesn't mean that Brahma has the same attributes of the Christian God or Allah.
I would also like to add that Unitarians could hardly be considered Christians. They claim that each individual seeks their own path to heaven/God, and that there are many ways. Islam asserts their religion is correct. Christians assert there religion is correct, same with Jews, Buddhists and even Atheists.

Well yes, But I generally see Christians who don't even know anything about Jesus or Paul's sayings of respect. Instead they mock both Judaism and Islam just because they aren't the same as Christianity. But yes your right, Both of them have said to be respectful and I agree, But Muslims seem to have a MUCH more less likely chance of insulting other religions because respect for all the Prophets and Messengers of God as well as Religions is commanded and every practicing Muslim knows it I'm sure. They say things straight out of the Qur'an every day 5 times a day so it's really hard for them to insult someone like Jesus (P) Now I don't know who out of the Muslims point and make fun of Jesus honestly unless they really lack in faith, Because that's basically a major sin. Atheists don't have a religion by the way, It's simply the lack of faith in a deity and as such they just believe they'll rot in the ground, Sounds exciting. rolleyes

And, lol, ironically if I remember correctly, the Senate calls Atheism is a religion. Furthermore, even if it isn't, is it not the belief that there are no beleifs? (Oxymoron! razz ) And yeah. ...I wasn't going to post in this guild anymore.... stare but the thread intrigued me.
I don't believe that we all worship the same God. Culture, traditions, and time create different worships. And the culture influences the Nature of God. Yup. Influences the nature of God. Why? because We are human, we need descriptions; analogies, metaphors, to be able to relate to something so that we can come closer to it. We as humans, can't understand, can't really relate to God, so we create our own constructs of God so to better come to know and love him. That God, the one that these three religions out of many claim to have a special connection to Him; is completely different and diverse as the Hindu gods.
Call me close-minded, or whatever, I really don't give a damn. From my studies on Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, I see bits of connections....more like shared values than worship of the same God.
Islam's god, Allah is good for Islam, Christianity's God and Trinity concept is good for Christianity, and Judaism's Adonai is good for Judiasm.
Each religion is believes that they're worshiping the right God or God in the right way, and for some sects, they believe that the other worship of God is okay, just that theirs is the most direct route to Heaven, and still others deny the validity of other religions being great in getting into heaven.

Reincarnation doesn't make sense to me at all, If reincarnation were true than how come the population of the world is either increasing or decreasing by the billions? It'd stay the same if we all just came back as newborns after death. Regardless even if Muslims make fun of the Christian Jesus, It's still forbidden either way, If anything, Mocking and making fun of Prophets of God and not respecting other views is forbidden in Islam. So I'd say those Muslims have strayed pretty far to reach that point. Atheism as I see it is not much of a belief, Just lack of the belief in a deity of any shape/form/system. Etc. What is there for Atheists to believe? Besides Morals and values of the world anyway.

What is there for Atheists to believe? Besides Morals and values of the world anyway. Reincarnation doesn't make sense to you because your religion does not accept it. The concept of reincarnation is based upon how you did in your past life. In Hinduism, the ultimate goal is for your soul to be joined to Brahmin (or however its spelled) and for Buddhists, its to reach absolute nothingness, or Nirvana. If you don't meet the requirements your soul goes something else; a frog, a horse, a cow, a girl or a boy, a king or a monk. That's how the caste system works with Hinduism and that's why its so damn hard to get rid of to achieve equality. You could technically get reborn as a human, but that depends on your Karma.
Doesn't matter if mocking is forbidden, it's still done, and there's quite a bit of it too. Churches are burned and desecrated by Muslims in the Middle East. Hmph. In the West, god help you if you utter something anti-semetic (generally xd ), and the British goverment seems too scared of Muslims struggles with ridiculous, wayward Muslim views. And everyone mocks the Christians because of the ridiculous tele-evangelists and such that make the rest of us normal Christians look bad. It's really a double standard here, and it pisses the hell outta me.
Morals and values can exist for non-believers too. Just because they don't believe in a higher power...it doesn't make them heartless people. neutral

I simply said that that's about all they have to "believe" in their own view, Since the whole idea of God is obviously rejected and they rely on clear proof facts, Having no faith except in Morals and what not. Yes I know mocking and what not occurs on every part of the world, Christians mock Muslims (By the way, Christians aren't permitted to make fun of others correct? I recall something being said by paul that stated something on this issue.), And Muslims who don't obey their own religion mock other religions or people by racism or religious discrimination, It's been going on since the religions originated so it's not much of a surprise it's still here. I've also already heard of the burning of churches in the middle east, Not really that different from The Spanish Inquisition turning a mosque into a church honestly. And My religion didn't have much to do with me not understanding reincarnation, It's just that I would think that being reborn in whatever creature or person wouldn't necessarily be possible because of how the Human population sky-rocketed not too long ago to some 6 billion. I would come to think if Reincarnation was true then Humans wouldn't have inhabited the earth as quickly as they did.

I've also already heard of the burning of churches in the middle east, Not really that different from The Spanish Inquisition turning a mosque into a church honestly. Christians aren't, yes, but we're not having a modern Inquisition here; extremist Muslims are. And what little control there is...gets bashed by the majority it seems. Religious discrimination is old. Suicide bombings at specific religious centers is not. Darfaur's situation is not. gonk I just want to see some sanity worldwide. Haydar Al-Sidq And My religion didn't have much to do with me not understanding reincarnation, It's just that I would think that being reborn in whatever creature or person wouldn't necessarily be possible because of how the Human population sky-rocketed not too long ago to some 6 billion. I would come to think if Reincarnation was true then Humans wouldn't have inhabited the earth as quickly as they did. Hindus haven't had a problem with it, and they've been here a lot longer than Islam, in real history, not Muslim-version history. And Buddhists have also made peace with it, since most of them don't seem to have a qualm with their religion about the sudden pop of souls. You go through cycles. It's not like the moment someone dies their soul gets instantly popped into another body. It takes time to be reborn, for some, decades, other centuries...
