Wiggie Crash Maniac So i'm watching "Real Vice Cops" on the Spike channel. And they bust this mid level pot dealer in Illinois... after a search of the house, they find a Kel-tec SUB-2000 hidden in the floor boards.. heres where the rage steps in. Some DEA Agent starts to yell out, "We got a Mac 10, people! Mac 10" Then every one else starts to chime in... "oh... man.. its a mac 10 machine gun... etc. etc." All through out this, i'm raging. Then. it gets worse. yes, worse. One of the agents notices that the SUB has a laser sight on it... "man, is that a laser? man you know thats illegal..." RAGE!!! I love Law Enforcement... but some people... uneducated assholes... dude how do educated cops get those confused?they don't even look close to each other!!!by laser does he just mean and ACTUAL laser like cutting stuff or just like a laser pointer/sight? As far as a mounted laser, it could have been one of those $5 cat toy laser that was duct taped onto it.

Maelthra Reloaded Ever think that those agents were under enough stress to make ID'ing a weapon slightly difficult? And does it REALLY matter? rolleyes stress... never.. even being shot at i can ID the weapon being shot... given adequate light, angle... etc. and no, doesnt matter... but more than half the stuff being discussed on here or anywhere in the GD doesnt matter either.. so i feel no real loss in discussing it.

Fresnel A .308 AK? This sounds familiar... It's cuz the .308, and 7.62x52 are the same round and people don't understand the difference between 7.62x52 and 7.62x39. Still DEA agents are supposed to know about drugs not guns.

The asshats made you build a BUNKER to store model rocket engines in until earlier this month. It was overturned as a gross abuse of power they didn't have. 3nodding Either way though, they're a law enforcement agency. If they're going to be dealing with guns, they should have a FAINT idea what the ******** they're talking about, and they shouldn't have ALL gotten it wrong.

Inquisitor Brock The ATF also covers Explosives. :l Yeah, under the Patriot Act. They're the BATF. The only people who call them the BATFE are the BATF and the media.

OberFeldwebel When did they start getting known as BATF? I used to hear ATF only. They want you to forget they're a bureau. They've always been the BATF, and they've always called themselves the ATF. They also don't want you to know they report to the TREASURY, but unfortunately they're ******** in the URL. The BATF website is used to be (when did this happen?) atf.treasury.gov. Apparently it's not any more. Must have changed in the last couple months.

It's actually kinda funny, but I was watchin' an old sci-fi series First Wave, and one of the antagonistic Gua characters Joshua had the Kel-Tec SUB-2000. Use of it was supurb, for the few scenes with it. Only aspect I thought was unusual was in Season 1, Episode 21, "The Aftertime," which there was a scene of him with the SUB-2000 slung under-arm almost like one of those coat holsters that detectives have. I'll try to get a screen-cap of it when I can.
EDIT: if anyone knows how to screencap with WMP11 or a program that'll let me, PM me. Apparently I can turn a .bmp into an all-seeing window into what media I have playing directly behind any window I have open (including Firefox and My Docs)
