wait wait wait... in checking back on that listing... its up to 50 million. is this for real? is he seriously getting 50 million for that round... or is this a joke that gunbroker is in on?
I bet the high bidders are all fake accounts made JUST to bid on this.
See, thing is, it's NOT ******** FUNNY. After the first bid, it became a real auction. He has to pay a 3% seller's fee RIGHT WHEN the auction closes.

See, when it was in the 1k and 2k, he COULD have bit the fee for the couple months it would take for Gunbroker to refund the seller's fee due too a reneging buyer (and then ban that buyer's account), but he can't bite $1,500,000.75 (probably wrong, as my computer's calculator doesn't have a % function, so I just multiplied the current bid by 0.03)

I bet for something like this though, Gunbroker would realize it as a gag gone horribly wrong and ignore the whole mess.

I have exactly ONE bullet in my house, a .22 LR, that can be loaded into a gun and fired as is. Maybe I can buy a PS3 with that.....

How feasible would it be to reload two .50 cal. rounds and a 20mm shell? They've never been fired, but the powder and primer are removed. I figure the hardest part would be obtaining the necessary primers.

wow...just wow.

I wish I really could sell some old .38 for that much. I could probably buy my own little island.

$100,000,025.00 seems like a running joke to me.

Okay, FINAL BID:
Over five million.
ACCOUNTS SUSPENDED:
Not told, but suspected to be at least four
SELLER CONSEQUENCES:
None.
Gunbroker even told him to re-list the item!

And, he did!
He has relisted it and started at 1 cent with no reserve, and it's up to $8.

Final Verdict:
He contacted gunbroker before the auction ended, so he didn't have to pay a multi-million fee, and Gunbroker removed all bids, punished accounts, and removed/locked the auction, and then told him to relist it.

I bet it'll get to either $20 or be as high as $100.

I doubt this would be on Jay leno.
He usually does the, 'silly ebay auctions' right?

I wonder if they would ever make the stretch to gunbroker.

I saw it at one hundred million and twenty-five dollars.

This round of ammo was the subject of an auction that drew attention around the world over the last weekend when a bunch of guys decided to bid it up to over five billion dollars.

I can imagine Bill Gates sitting at home... "Why the ******** did they cancel the auction? Did they think I wasn't going to pay?"

I needed a laugh. This provided it!

Wonder what I could get for a 500 round box of .22 LR I scored for $1.99 a few months ago at Big 5? I've got several boxes... pirate
