I'm upset with everything that Cartoon Network does. It sort of demeans an anime to be put on Cartoon Network. It only results in 12-year-old girls screaming after Sasuke. stare

i wish they would have been lazy and stick with the japanese opening/ending instead of putting that wierd american opening stare
plus it needs much more blood than what they have now twisted

i think that just cartoon network wants to show the kids because it is a good anime but there ruining for non blood and the show in english did you ever heard someone the voices of the english naruto i had to throw up when i heard that (not really)

It makes me want to cry.
Naruto sounds like he has a sore throat to me and most of the time when I hear his name it sounds so wrong. If they mess up Gaara or Itachi I'm complaining with an angry letter, very angry.

Personally, it's better for them to have aired Naruto, than to NOT aired it at all. BUT, they could have done a lot better. I heard from my Brazillian friend that the voice acting for the Japanese version of Naruto, Naruto, himself, sounded weird as well. So, eeeeh.
Even though Naruto's voice sounded.. odd, we should get used to it, and learn to accept it. Besides, if anyone's here as intelligent as I think they are, MOST of you would realize by now that there's no chance in hell that Naruto (US version) is ever going to finish, because, TOONAMI NEVER FINISHES ANYTHING!!!!!!
Including Yuu Yuu Hakusho, and so forth. 3nodding

The only parts I'm annoyed with is the constant shouting of "Beleive It!" and a few things that differed from the Manga, which I read first. I've heard the Japanese version and I don't prefer either.

Airashii_Enjuku Cartoon network is evil and always messes up the good shows! gonk I need blood, bad content, and more violence !!!! scream but yet I still watch it.... sad Me too.

Give the american voices a rest. I mean, okay, so the pronounciation was all that bad, but can you blame americans for having that accent of theirs, try japanese people voicing looney toons if they can get the accent right.
And for Naruto and Sasuke's voices, they are 12 FREAKIN' YEARS OLD!!! They barely entered puberty!!!

I'm not so sure why everyone's angry with Cartoon Network. They were the ones who put anime on the map. Without it, anime problably would not have been as mainstream as it is today. And, thusly, not as accessible. I'm grateful that CN put on shows like Sailor Moon and DBZ and continued to do so with Adult Swim and a newer Toonami. No one really should be complaining about them. They don't dub the voices or edit the shows, they just air them.
Now, as for Viz, I am disappointed with what they've done to the show, editing wise. I wish that Naruto could have ended up on Adult Swim and not have been cut down like it was. While it's not edited repugnantly to the point where there are five episodes in one, I don't see why they cut down the violence. It's a ninja anime. It's a fighting anime. Of course there's going to be blood and the likes everywhere! Why'd they try to make it "better"? They should have left it as is and released it on DVD or given the rights to Adult Swim. But whatever.
I'm not against Viz. I don't agree with BlackHayate327 who thinks Viz screws up most animes. Ranma 1/2 was done pretty well. As was the more recent show Inuyasha.
It's hard to satisfy fans of the original anime. Even with the Hagaren (Fullmetal Alchemist), people still complained. Square-Enix, the company in charge of the show in Japan, went over who was to be the English voice actors for the show in America. They wanted the American voices to sound as much as the original as they possibley could. But even then fans complained. It's hard to replace the original Japanese voice actors with other ones. People need to learn that and appreciate the voice actors who re-dub the series. They can't recreate their voices to sound exactly like the Japanese ones, so they do their own thing instead of trying to do a cheap imitation.
While I do love the original voices, I enjoy the new ones too (I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll dub Rock Lee and Maito Gai). If you don't like the English version, don't watch it. Obviously you have access to the Japanese one, so watch that instead.
One thing I do hate about the dub though: BELIEVE IT!

I've never heard how Naruto sounds in Japanese, nor have I ever watched Naruto in Japanese, so I often watch dubbed versions of anime first before I watch the Japanese version.
