"I do what I can," he replied. "You can release them, let them out. Let the feelings pour from you and into the open," he paused a smirk forming as he stood and closed the rest of the distance so only an inch or so was between them. "Most of the feelings locked inside of you are from your visions, just remember..." he paused lightly touching her then pulling back as if he was worried he too would contaminate her with emotion and pain.
"They aren't yours." He wasn't sure if it would work but he was fine with trying, he didn't get anywhere without a few lies every now and then. Really, it was nothing to him. It was as easy as ABC.
"You can let people in but you can keep them out too." It was how he functioned.

He was closer now. Her body tensed immediately. Most of the feelings were from her visions? Not her own? She shuddered at the very thought and realised that he was right.
They weren't her own.
His touch was brief, so brief and light that she barely registered it. There was no vision that time. Perhaps because she was calm? She didn't know. He was right. So right. Oh, thank the stars for his arrival. For this meeting.
The feelings weren't her own!
Hesitation gone, she moved forwards, pressing her head against his chest, up under her chin. She kissed the side of his maw, purring. "A saviour." She whispered.

His advice worked, his words had calmed her. Helped her even. It seemed as though his lies were not always that. Of course a lie could always twist and turn into the truth, it was a tricky game. One needed to know when to step and when to stay still.
And he was a master, walking on a tightrope(metophorically speaking) all his life had paid off. And now was one of his rewards.
He pressed his frame against her, nipping at her ear. Might as well let her enjoy it.
"Only if you accept me as such."
Too bad he'd have to leave her.

She purred, leaned into him, closed her eyes. "I will. I do. Always." Yes, she was mad. Suspicious one moment, trusting the next. The trusting side of her was her true personality, from long ago as a cub. But since then it had been twisted, covered, blotted out. She would never be the innocent creature she had once been.
"I get no pain or hurt from you. My soul is calm. My heart...my heart beats fast." Her voice was low, hushed. She quivered.
"Suijin." She didn't seem to speak his name for any reason and then she continued. "Stay with me a while? I don't feel ready to return to the lands just yet. Someone may have heard the outburst. I'm not ready for questioning. Let's just stay here. You and me."

His smirk broadened at her words. "Then continue to do so," he replied resting his head on top of hers. It was a nice feeling, having helped her but in the end it turned back into what he had been seeking all along. He always got what he wanted.
"Good," he nodded staring off into the distance. It was nice not rushing straight into things as he usually did.
"Very well, I will wait until you are ready to return."

She nodded, pressing closer to him, purring now, rubbing her head against his shoulder, his side, his back. Her eyes closed and she opened her mouth to tell him her gratitude.
"That's good...it's better when I'm not alone." She sighed deeply, pressed against him harder still and hoped he'd guess her intentions. He should do. He was male and this was what males wanted. Right?
Yes. They understood this.
