uryu ishida Fresnel It's a truly FEDERAL law. It only applies to interstate and international travel, and federal lands (like BLM land and national parks), unless your state defines switchblades as "whatever the feds say it is". Tell that to federal gun laws. Federal gun laws weren't written as an order to Customs and Border Patrol.

They were still federal laws placed under the same clause of interstate commerce, which you know as well as I, is BULLSHIT. Firearms that don't pass through state borders are still just as regulated, even though it's entirely unconstitutional (YAY TENNESSEE FIREARMS FREEDOMS ACT!)

D: I feel kind of stupid living in Oregon and never hearing of the Umpqua river. I've had the ice cream which I knew was made in Oregon. Tillamook makes some of the best dairy products I've ever had. biggrin About an hour drive from Tillamook is the Evergreen air museum. They have the Spruce Goose, but everything there is over priced. If you find the time and are interested I would suggest checking out Omsi. Anyway the Tillamook area has beautiful forestry. It's really a nice place to be in the summer. The ocean is cold as a b***h though.

The Pacific is cold in some areas, and warm in others. I've had people tell me that the Pacific is warm around Hawaii, The Philippines and other Pacific Islands, but freezing here and in Japan.
Also, the Atlantic in summer (when there's not a hurricane blowing on it) is almost bath-water warm. It would be nice if the East Coast didn't get so friggin humid in the summer.
Anyways, the OMSI does sound like something worth going to (I've been to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, got to go in a U-boat my great-grandpa helped get there AND sat in Gravedigger) but I can't convince my dad to drive up to Portland. If I could, I would go up and go to Rockstar Mayhem up there while I was at it.
Also hoping I don't catch bronchitis like I did on one of the trips. Did the Rogue River boating trip at Seal Beach, and left my jacket off on the way back when the cold air was hitting us.
Amazing isn't it, how this topic devolved from a rant about knife rights being taken away to what it has become now?

Lol, continuing off-topic, Washington has gotten REALLY warm the past few years. [Not D.C, the actual State.] Really hot summers, then really cold winters. Last year we got like 4 ft. of snow [which is really unusual]. Freaking Seattle city-folk closed down completely because they their first 2 inches of snow evar.

Arizona is really ******** cold this year. It broke 100 for the first time this year last week. We should be seeing 120's already! What the hell. We had a mild winter, too.
Guess I shouldn't be complaining about good weather though. Oh, it's humid. Bah, humbug.

Actually, it is. The warming of the planet causes the polar caps to melt, sending the cold air and moisture into the atmosphere, where it is carried down through Washington to Arizona-ish area.
...but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
