ali_dragonslayer Mint Clifford TO ALL MUSLIM STOP BUYING AVON PRODUCT!include lipstick wahmbulance wahmbulance wahmbulance oo....my sis and mother always buy avon's products.... i need to tell them...but i guess they will not believe me.. sweatdrop I'd like to say something. This is what Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: Quote: "It is true thou wilt not be able to guide every one, whom thou lovest; but Allah guides those whom He will and He knows best those who receive guidance. (28:56, translation by Yusuf Ali) The point I want to make is that, whether your family members believe you or not.. well, that is up to them. If you find out anything that is important, for example when food contains haram ingredients, it is your duty to inform them and do your best. Give evidence, research it, do your best. That's it =) What they do with your advice is their responsibility. Allah guides those whom he wills. You cannot make people do something or leave something, you can only advise them =)

If you're eating the candies like that that are in a middle eastern country, odds are it's halal, the gelatin would be bovine unless you snuck into the non-halal part of the grocery store wink lol and if you need to look up products that are halal in and outside the U.S. I found a really good resource: http://www.muslimconsumergroup.com/General.do;jsessionid=33672BD99B237CD766DDF7A03E9E878A?menu=Home&eventAction=init
and if you need help finding good halal restaurants in other countries:
http://www.zabihah.com/
both of these sites have helped me a whole lot when I go back to the states on vacation smile

wubbzee Asalam ualakum people! So i live in the middle east but finding halal candy to eat is really hard. For instance there's a rumor going on that says although the skittles pakage dose say gelatin, its really just cow gelatin. Well im not sure if this is true but if any of you guys know some gummy candys that are Halal post it here! : D P.S. many people think that if you live in a muslim country it means that everything is halal but that is not true : ) xD skittles don't contain gelatin anymore.. the removed that ingredient.. look at the package carefully..it clearly say gelatin free food.. I still don't eat them though

Salam, I got nice facts for you - Eating candy or chewing something can avoid you from cigars and such
In my country, we have fruity candy here so its easy to choose. If you don't know if there is any haram thing in the food its fine but if you suspect it, you better avoid it . . . Sorry I don't eat candy but I eat chocolates sometimes . . . I chew things such as pencils and pen =___=
