Having been through quite a lot in her life, Layilme has finally been able to find her mate and get her family and her life back together. All of her trials have worn the lioness down a bit, but they've also made her very introspective and sensitive to the troubles of others. She generally tends to be quiet around anyone but those in her own family, but is always willing to listen to others' troubles or give gentle advice.

Layilme met up with a male who seems to have quite a bit of problems. For one thing, he's insane - or a part of him is. It remains to be seen where this could go...
Layilme has met several other creatures over time - these include other lions, a maned wolf, and even a God. The lioness Phye'li is her friend.
Layilme and Mor'faerion have become mates and had two cubs together. Then, one of these cubs was stolen away.
While on her own looking for her lost son, Layil had a one-night run in with another male lion which resulted in two more cubs. The lioness felt terrible about betraying her mate to begin with ...and then, to make matters worse, one of those cubs was stolen from her.
So, for a long time, she thought of herself as a horrible mate and mother and was very depressed. But finally, she was reunited with Mor'faerion and he forgave her - even telling her that they would raise her remaining son as their own.

Fiyali'Kianga is a very friendly Wild Dog. Even though she's grown now, she still has some puppy-ish qualities at times. She is very attached to all in her family and though she wanders on her own, she will go back to them often and always if they are in trouble. One thing she particularly likes to do is watch things that can fly - birds, certain insects, Gods, etc. Though she might be shy about it, it's entirely possible she might go up to a God and ask questions about such, given the chance to do so.

Most of Fiyali's past centers around her family. Though she wandered as a pup, she more or less tended to still live at home. Now, Fiyali has left home for good, wandering on her own - though she does go back to visit and would return at a moment's notice if any of her family needed her.
Fiyali met a young male wild dog called Safi and after a trip to the giraffe tree he knew of ... well, one thing led to another, and Fiyali now has a family! She's learning about the joys (and pains) of motherhood currently, complete with a father who wanders in and out as he pleases.

Chiamaka is a very level-headed and likable girl. She's an utter sweetheart, quick the believe the best of anyone that she meets. She does have her silly moments, but if something serious is going on, she can snap out of it quickly. Motherhood seems to have settled her even more, and she absolutely adores her entire family.

As a young cub, Chiamaka wandered off from her parents and somehow ended up in the Pridelands. There, she met Zuri and the two of them became friends.
After this, Chiamaka was more or less raised by Ayo'obi, and still stays with him now. Earlier, she had told him that she would never fall in love, because it was "gross".
Some time later, Chia was attacked by a demon lioness when she wandered too close to their pride lands. She ran home crying to Ayo, and that night, the two of them realized their feelings for one another...
Ayo and Chia have a family now! Though of course, nothing is ever simple of easy, not with these two.

Farai is about a midling sized lion who has been mostly raised by the manipulative Xibalba - who stole him from his family as a youngster. She trained him to fight and spy for her, sending him off on various missions to gather information. He's usually quiet and perhaps a bit surly - and doesn't trust females, in general, thanks to Xibalba.

Farai and his sister caught and accidentally killed a mouse as cubs - thus prompting their father to explain to them about hunting and killing things for food. Xibalba showed up soon after and took Farai away from his home and parents. Then, she trained him with the help of some of her other henchmen.
Lately, Farai has been going out on various missions for Xibalba - though he never really thinks of running off, believing he has nowhere else to go. He has had two litters of cubs that he knows nothing about.

Kya is a really spunky and tomboyish sort of girl - tending to hang out with boys more than girls her own age. She also absolutely loves rhythm. Anything that she can make noise on or with, she'll beat on it. The ground, rocks, trees, and so on and so on XD;
As Kya has grown, she's learned more and more about music and by this point is fairly skilled at producing all kinds of sounds on the drum she carries. She has also developed night-blindness, and is now completely unable to see in the dark.

While wandering a bit from her family, Kya met a lioness from the Nchi pride and became fascinated with the idea of it. So, she set out to find the pride, hoping to be adopted into it and allowed to stay.
As she grew, Kya met a particular male from time to time and eventually the two of them became mates! They now have a family as well, and they have their paws full taking care of three small cubs.

Morwa'Shetani, called simply 'Tani for short, is a rather ... interesting member of the vampire pride. Born into a very strange sort of family, he's odd right from the start. His mother is insane, his father is the perfect gentleman who loves to flirt and have random flings with the ladies ... only to wander off and oftentimes never see them again afterwards.
Due to the fact that his mother is absolutely loony, he and the rest of his siblings were raised by the queen of the pride, but 'Tani never really seemed to care. He was quick to figure out what he could get away with and constantly pushed the limits. He was also extremely confident in himself and very protective of his family.
As he grew, this confidence didn't go away, in face only becoming greater. He's likely to be successful in much that he puts his mind to, simply because he's stubborn and refuses to give up.
He's also a bit like his father, in that he's be a complete charmer and flirt when he wants to be. Ah... and more or less, he's likely to go after anything on four legs that's remotely attractive. Yup.

'Tani has met a couple of members of the nearby Aikanaro'hini pride. He's taken a bit of a liking to demons as a result and is somehow oddly fascinated with them.
Having made several friends and enemies, 'Tani has been spending more and more time with Kefilwe, another young male he met early in life. Still, though, he's not entirely devoted to the other, having also met Moricorm again. And he's had a litter of cubs with her, taking them back with him to bolster the numbers of the vampires. The two have an agreement to meet again later so that they can have more cubs which Ri will take to the demons.

Iartuupe is ... quite simply ... crazy. He really likes causing pain to others, both physical and emotional. It gives him a thrill *cough*
The only creatures that he really considers to be equal to himself are others that also like causing pain, or that manage to amuse him for a time, or stay alive under his torments.
He also thinks that he hears the voice of a demonic god and that he, himself, is a demon trapped in the form of a lion. He believes that this god tells him to do things and taught him from when he was young how to cause pain and what he should do with his life.

Iartuupe was born many years ago, along with several other cubs. When they were all very young, the cubs were playing together just out of sight of their parents. Even then ... Iartuupe was ambitious and cruel and he attacked each of his siblings in turn - killing them.
When his horrified parents asked what happened, he made up a story about another lion coming and attacking them - leaving him the only one alive. What he didn't know was that one of his sisters had only faked death. But by the time she stopped faking... the now much-smaller family had left the 'dangerous' area, leaving her alone.
And so, from his earliest memories, Iar had been stained with pain and the death of his siblings. Things didn't improve much from there.
As soon as he was old enough to leave home, he did so - the only miracle being that he didn't try to kill his mother before he went. He admired her, in a way, for being able to stand the pain of bearing cubs, and for never really showing the anguish that he knew she felt at the loss of his siblings - even though she never knew he was responsible.
Alone, Iar sought out any weaker than him, those he could torment, torture, and fight and come out the winner, the stronger. Soon, though, he got bored with that, and also started looking for opponents that might have a chance at hurting and beating him as well.
He found a few, but not very many.... and then, he began to hear a voice in his head. The voice told him that the reason he always won so easily was because he wasn't a lion at all. No, he was a demon trapped in lion's flesh, and so was stronger and better than most others.
Not all, though .... not all. Somewhere, he was told, there were others like him. Some knew what they were, and were also seeking ... others didn't know, and must be found and taught their true heritage.
The voice instructed him to go and seek out these others ... to join together in a pride. He was also told that if he could succeed in finding females of strong blood, they might also carry some small part of demon heritage... and if he could get these females with cubs, the cubs may house demonic spirits as well - pulled to this world from where they were currently trapped in other realms. This was his other task ... to build up the strength of the demon pride. And once their numbers were great enough ... they would take down the rest of the lions, everywhere, and use their blood and pain to raise power and once again take on their true demon forms.
Note: This lion is officially dead, IC'ly. Any old logs can still be completed, but nothing new will be allowed for him!

Finally all grown up, Usare is ready to step up to his position as heir and Arca'an. As he's grown, the son of Verge'lian's attitude has gotten a bit closer to that of his sire - not quite so quick to flare. But he still knows how to have fun, and is proud of his heritage and pride.

Usare and his two siblings, Drathir and Amin, managed to get themselves lost in the caverns in and under the dormant volcano on the pride's lands. The three made their way through the maze-like passages to the central area - which looks down on hell. Upon escaping, they told the story to the adults of the pride and it was decided that the volcano was a sacred place for the pride.
Usare has taken the test and been confirmed as a pridal heir! He's also decided that he wants to train as an Arca'an.
Usare has recently stepped up to his position as heir and Arca'an, and he's looking forward to doing everything he can to help the pride.

Nima is a strong, but peaceful sort of lion. He grew up more or less completely on his own and so had to learn to survive alone. This didn't make him bitter or unpleasant, however... simply very good at staying alive. He longs for companionship of any kind and resents being thought of as different, though he won't do anything about it, except back off and not fight - unless forced to do so. He is very polite to any who offer him no harm and is soft-spoken and intelligent.

Nima is a bit of an odd duck so far as lions go. Just from looking at him, it's easy to tell that he's a survivor. He was born into a litter of rogue cubs that were all fairly normal. The rest of the litter was colored like a mix of the parents, and all seemed to be good for the first little bit of his life. Then his father began to wonder why one of his sons was pure white. What did this mean? Was he special, or perhaps bad luck?
As it turned out, the weather in the area where the family lived soon turned bad and the father was quick to blame his "unnatural" son. The mother did not agree but she was not a strong lioness and could do nothing to stop what happened. The father drove the white cub away ... telling him never to come back. Some of the scars that Nima still carries are from his father, for even then he was stubborn but desired to be with others - to not be alone.
However, now he had to learn to survive on his own. And he did, but not without cost. Nima grew up without any family or pride to call his own, though he was always quick to help others if and when they needed it. Thanks to his growing up like this, he became strong but rangy - not particularly healthy looking until he grew to adult. Then he finally had the size and weight to take down larger prey and began to fill out. But there were hardships along the way.
Several times, Nima tried to join various groups of lions or prides but was always driven away for one reason or another. He also got into fights not of his own making with other rogues who's territory he accidentally wandered into. Though he was good at it, he really didn't like fighting, and usually would only fight long enough to find an opportunity to run. Still, he gained several more scars growing up.
Today, Nima is still a strong and capable lion but he is also peaceful. He still wishes to find someone he can spend his life with - not necessarily a mate, but more of a friend. Or group of friends, or even a pride to join. He would like to find somewhere to belong, and something to do that feels right to him. A cause and a purpose to his life.
His speech is generally soft and controlled - only saying what he needs to to get his point across. And he is unfailingly polite to those that offer him no harm. If anyone or anything threatens him, he will generally try to back off first, or turn the other cheek, so to speak. If forced to, however, he can be an extremely vicious fighter - having learned over time the quickest ways to hurt or even kill an opponent if necessary.
Nima's eyesight is also weaker in the eye that has the scar over it - a legacy of one of his more nasty fights. As such, he's nervous when others approach him from that side and will try to get into a position where he can see more with his good eye.

Having grown quite a bit from that curious little cub, Kisa has discovered that she loves telling stories and making them up. She has become an apprentice to Bombei, a large male lion that she met as a cub, and she's now learning all about the fine art of story-telling!

As a young cub, Kisa met a wandering storyteller named Bombei. He told her a story then which made such an impression on her that she decided to become a storyteller herself.
Later on, when Bombei came back through the area, Kisa begged him to take her along as his apprentice, and her mother agreed that she could go. Since then, she's been traveling with Bombei and on her own, collecting stories and tales.

Ka'hmesh is a very large, but quiet, sort of lion. He prefers peace to fighting, though he was trained as a warrior and guardian and is fully capable of defending himself or anyone else that he deems worthy of his protection. Ka is also rather anti-social, though not from any fault of his own. For most of his life, he was alternately training or stuck out in the desert alone. So it's more an issue of simply not knowing how to relate to others.

Ka'hmesh originally came from a small group of lions who lived in the deep desert. They were not precisely a pride, but more of a loose group that stayed together for convenience of hunting and companionship. They had no true leaders and the members drifted in and out as they pleased.
Quite some time ago, Morifaer, the god of demons, somehow learned of this pride, and also of a treasure hidden in an oasis close to where the group roamed. No one he found, however, could tell him what his treasure was or how it was hidden. Not even exactly where. This frustrated the god, and he decided that if he could not find this treasure, then no one else should be able to either.
To this end, he began systematically killing off most of the desert-dwelling lions. However, young Ka'hmesh caught his eye for some reason. Rather than killing him, Mori instead bound Ka to his service with a cursed tattoo. Ka had also attempted to defend his mother from Morifaer and had earned a slash across one eye. Morifaer made the resulting scar into a tattoo as well.
In specific, the curse bound Ka to the oasis where the treasure was supposedly hidden, as guardian to it. Mori sent several of his underlings to train Ka'hmesh in combat and in how to kill, then eventually left him along ... simply bound to that oasis until his death.
Enter Farlest. Farlest was also a god, one of Morifaer's children. Farlest was the god of empathy - and was also more or less under his father's control, though this control was because of threats to Farlest's younger siblings. Morifaer decided one day that Ka needed checking up on, and so he sent Farlest to do that job.
However, when Farlest met Ka, the two became friends very quickly - and more on Far's part ... though he didn't say anything to Ka. Rather, Farlest began working out a way to break the curse binding Ka'hmesh to that oasis. He wanted the other free, and by his side.
Morifaer got wind of this and came to stop his son, but Farlest stood up to his father and fought him. In the midst of the fight, Farlest realized that he wasn't going to win. And so he gathered all of his energy into a final assault ... and at the same time reached back toward Ka with power - and broke that curse. Farlest's last desperate attack injured Mori enough that he retreated. But Far was dying ... his wounds too severe.
And there was nothing at all that Ka could do for the young god who had given him his freedom. Nothing but stay and keep vigil until Farlest was gone .... and then leave the place that Far had freed him from and try to live his life as he thought the god might have wanted him to from that point on.
Some time later, Ka joined the demon hunters' pride and there met Farlest again in mortal form ... and now, Farlest was female. Overjoyed at meeting each other again, the two quickly became mates and have since had one litter of cubs.

Kisu'Makali is more or less a normal wild dog. He tends to be playful and happy - loving all of his siblings and his parents. Perhaps, at times, he might get a bit rough in his games with siblings, but nothing too terrible. As he grows, Kisu will become fascinated with treasure and taking great risks to get treasure - though he won't keep much of it himself, but rather put it in places for others to look at. Think Indiana Jones. XD

As a pup, Kisu more or less stayed close to his family, but once he was grown a bit, he started to explore. Now, he fancies himself a "veteran" explorer and treasure hunter, though he still has a lot to learn!

Eisheth is a quiet, soft-spoken cheetah, a healer by nature and training. She tends to stay in the background of a group and doesn't talk much unless spoken to first. However, she holds the capacity for great love and enjoys little ones of all kinds. As a Seer, her powers are strongest having to do with the present and she tends to have visions as part of dreams. Most of the time, they aren't very clear and she sometimes has to think a while about the meaning.

When Elua was kicked out of their coalition as a cub, Eisheth longed to speak up for the young one, but she was young herself and also wasn't the type to put herself forward. And so, for a time, she stayed. She was also in training to be a healer, so wanted to learn as much as she could. But now, she has remembered her little cousin - and left the coalition to seek her out. She wants, at least, to see how Elua is doing... and perhaps to join her.
Eisheth has found her cousin Elua again after years of being apart and has decided to join her traveling group. Since then, Elua has had a cub. Eisheth also went off for a night alone with someone, and now has little ones of her own.

As an adult, Ele still sometimes sees his blindness as a handicap and tries not to let others know about it. Of course, that's not always possible and he tends to be somewhat embarrassed when others inevitably find out. Still, he's very friendly and he's just starting to kind of... discover girls. He tries to flirt (usually clumsily) and is pretty cute while doing so. XD

As a cub, Ele didn't notice his blindness all that much, more or less just thinking that he was different but not in a bad way. Then his father sat down with him one day and explained things and Ele began to wonder if his blindness was a bad thing.
Ele has recently met a young wild dog pup who's decided to stay with him and "be his eyes". For some reason, her cheerful attitude and acceptance of him makes the young leopard not feel so much like she's treating him differently. So he's actually prepared to accept her help where he would likely shun anyone else.

Jani is as unlike BOTH his parents as it seems possible to be. He's an extremely bright and cheerful cub, but also not at all bothered by any shortcomings that he might have. He's outgoing and friendly, willing to accept a certain amount of abuse from his siblings, but will fight back if he has to. On the whole, though, he prefers being friends and will even back down from a confrontation if he thinks that the other participant will 'like' him more for it. He doesn't seem to realize (or care if he does) that such a thing could also make him look like a coward. Jani also has the tendency to talk to absolutely EVERYTHING as if plants, water, rocks, and etc have ears to hear him. He doesn't seem to care that nothing talks back, or that others might think him strange for this little quirk.

Jani has been exploring the world with the rest of the young ones in his family. Though most of them don't seem to like him too terribly much, he doesn't seem to really care. After all, he has lots of other friends!
As he's gotten older, Jani's started going off on his own more and more. It seems like maybe he's looking for a place to belong where he can be accepted, though really he doesn't care too terribly much what others think of his "ability" to speak to inanimate objects.
