Well depending on grades and stuff I might go to Oni-con at the end of october. If I go I would like to be Sephiroth but I don't know what to do for the shoulder things he has. I think I can manage his sword though.

Well I'd say maybe paper mache or styrofoam? I'm not the one in my group who does the crafts, weapons, or props so sorry, but those might work sweatdrop

Personally, I feel like I can never pull off a cosplay right, so i rarely do them. I can never find one/make a costume that looks decent so I usually just stick to rave gear (which also has been looking crappy up to this year).

That's can't be true! Well I have one friend who does some cosplays only by buying wigs, cutting them, taking shirts/pants/shoes/so on that look similar to the original character's, and calls is cosplay. Then says she sucks and moves on to another cosplay. It's trial and effort though, really. Find a character that you look like, can act like, and enjoy being. Then work on that one costume to perfect it to your liking. And if you just don't like that character, then do a different one :]

I'm not really sure what to cosplay.
I'm already planning two--Sheena, from Tales of Symphonia, and a steampunk version of the Medic, from Team Fortress 2.
Beyond that, I have no idea.

I only have one current photo of myself, and it's... really strange.
Located here..
(Don't ask. It was day 3 of a 4 day convention, and literally the only photo I could find.)
I'm fairly curvy (as shown), and not afraid to show it off. I'm 5'6'' or so, in case that makes a difference.

Any ideas? I'm ok with buying wigs, crossplay, whatever. I'm into video games, anime, science fiction, general comic books... just suggest whatever comes to mind. If I haven't heard of it, I'll look it up, read/watch the series, and go from there. smile

Well I have a friend about your same looks or so. She's about 5'4", curvy, and just cosplays anything. I think if you try doing something like Pokemon Gijinkas that might prove very fun, and good on you! Pick any Pokemon, and just make them into human looking pretty much haha. Search deviantART.com for gijinka and you'll probably find millions of people's ideas for Pokemon as humans, which could start you off. My friends did it before and it's a great kind of cosplay, plus Pokemon is really well known and fun for all. I'd also suggest that if you want to be curvy, you might be a good Tsunade from Naruto, Mai from Yu-gi-oh! is too, Yamato from Loveless, Tearju Lunatique from Black Cat, and Mutsumi Otohime from Love Hina are ones I think of off the top of my head with curves haha. Hope some helped!

Hmm, I have to think about this xD I see you already have some nice cosplays so hang on huhu. Maybe Chrome or Mukuro from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, maybe Daisuke or Dark from D.N.Angel, ARGH HER NAME....sdfghj Mint from Tokyo Mew Mew, Miwako Sakurada from Paradise Kiss, Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist, Italy from Hetalia, or Itsuki Koizumi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? Those are mainly some popular series since that's what I'm assuming would be best recognized with? xD

I'm just curious, I've had so many characters suggested to me (most common have been Mello *Death Note*, Harribel *Bleach*, and Satoko *Higurashi/When They Cry*) but i love getting new ones!

Uh, i'm about 5'5 so i'm kinda short, average body build, and though in the pictures i don't look it, i'm fairly pale (thank odd yellow lighting for making me look somewhat normal.) and i'm quite strong, though i don't appear so.

Im going to a cosplay on the 24th (my second one i've ever went to) but I have absolutely no clue who to go as. Im thinking someone from either YuGiOh or Bleach. but im not really into sewing and i don't have much money. x-x i can be a girl/guy because i can look like both sadly x-x im 5'3 (really short T-T) with brown hair and grey eyes (odd, i know)...but if you have any ideas throw them my way okay? thanks a bunch ^^
