How often and how important are two different questions. True, but when one variable is equal, you fall back to the next variable.

How often and how important are two different questions. Well rule 1 seems to always be the gun is always loaded no matter who I hear it from. For the sake of argument rule 1 really says it all. Those who are smart enough should already realize that all the other rules are covered by rule 1. The only real need of the other rules is that so many people are too stupid to realize the other rules without being told.

I will admit that the rules are very redundant. like you said rule one pretty much covers it. but always keeping the gun pointed in a safe direction also covers know you target and what lays beyond it. So they are very redundant. but none-the-less all very important.
