i agree that if you're under lets say 175 you are not fat seriously dont you dare compare yourself to being fat just becuse you have a little extra meat on your bones...trust me you need that little bit extra. to see your bones is not a pretty picture in itself.

I found this fur artist that does furry pics that look like the real life versions of themselves. It reminded me of this thread.

I have yet to do my own though.

It sounds like a fun challenge i would be up for doing it i usualy try to findout what peopl look like if they want a really detaled picture to make it look more like them.

It wasn't that bad, and I managed to make myself look less anorexic than I otherwise tend to look at times. Plus, I learned how to put more detail into fur... I'm still working on doing short fur though. That's harder.

Anyway, I can't link to it or post it necessarily because it's adult. Yes, I did it in the nude. And no, I'm not doing anything adult oriented outside of nudity.

Rather not risk it anyway though, as I have commentary there that could be considered more adult than just the image alone.

I still think my art sucks though. razz

I couldn't have enhanced myself if I didn't know how to "work the camera".

First of all, if you want a larger looking chest then choose a pose that accentuates the breasts. This doesn't even have to be obvious. You can sit in a very discomforting position for only a few seconds and end up with a photo that looks great and perhaps even rather natural in the pose. The position I was in wasn't the most comfortable. I also clenched my stomach up to make it look less "sunken". I could have done it for hours, and I basically did, so it wasn't entirely a lie. But my arm was hurting after that from the strain.

Anyway, for hair, just wet it and try styling it differently. It doesn't have to be permanent. And if you wet it, you could style it in some different ways and pick and choose which one you think helps or hurts more for the pose you choose. It's only temporary anyway. IF you need to use hair spray or something for a particular look, then do that too.

As for height, don't be standing somewhere. Just sit down or lay down. Don't just stand next to something that'll give away your height. Also, take the picture with the camera facing somewhat upwards towards you. However, be aware that taking photos somewhat downwards is slimming. Also, the upward look is hard to pull off and can often be less flattering.

Always take a freakin' ton of photos by the way, then you can pick the one that looks the best.

That's the gist of what I did, with posing, hair styling, and camera placement. It's not a lie really, since I do look like that...just not 24/7. Frankly, that's the case for everyone. Not everyone looks "normal" all the time, and doing something unflattering to yourself isn't going to be very fun at all anyway.

Also, just because I went nude doesn't mean you have to. I wanted to convey something special with my work. You can use clothing if you want, or even strips of fabric.

I'll be quiet now, but those are just my tips.
It's not -that- difficult to get one good photo of yourself, even in the nude. It's just a lot of work. It's easier if you're not opposed to using photoshop though, obviously, which is something all the professional models have done to them. 3nodding

(No, those aren't folds in my skin near my chest, that's my ribcage. Terrible, I know. It was the lighting, I couldn't fix that for my room.)

So yeah, I do draw, and I do work within Photoshop quite a bit. School keeps me from doing much. Probably noticeable on there, but I do have an FA page. I just don't advertise it really for various reasons. I want to get better really, and I don't see it as being very good. ...Plus, it's got a lot of (gay) porn there. xp I'm hoping to get better with flash though. I've got a long way to go to becoming really skilled with that program.

Oh, yeah, and I know, the art is craptacular. I'm still learning and hoping to get better. Also, my "grasp of anatomy" isn't that good. When you paint over a photo of yourself to keep it accurate, things tend to look better even when you remove the photo after that.

Aww, thanks. I gotta learn to do short fur better though, as I said before. It looks like I'm all floofy all over with such long fur even in spots where it shouldn't be long at all. x3
