Well, I've named one carbine, what should I name the other?

I've always migrated to female names, sometimes with a heritage the same as the gun. Russian gun, Russian name. But that doesn't always have to be so.

As for the M1, my vote is Trevor the Tank Slayer.

You know what, I may just by that for the hell of it. I'd love to see the reaction of people when I show up to a firing range with a .22 rifle with a Barret style muzzle brake.

On a semi-related note, since California banned .50 BMG rifles, Barret stopped selling their rifles to California law enforcement agencies. Tough luck the next time they need to blow out a guy's engine block.

You heard about the .50DTC round, right? Ballistically identical to a .50BMG, but a half-millimeter shorter in the case, so it's not technically a .50BMG. That's what they get for banning the BMG by name. And the funny part is that nobody's bothered to see about getting it banned.

Why is "pipsqueak" an option on the poll?

I know the .30-30 isn't the most powerful cartridge, but that's more along the lines of a name for a .22 derringer rather than an M1 Carbine.
