Thats okay that you can't speak in Hmong. I'm white washed too but then I can still speak Hmong and understand it. I sometimes can't understand some of the word's. Mostly the long ones or something like that. But I still try to speak in Hmong as much as I can so that way I won't forget it. Plus I want to go by the American way and not the Hmong ways. I hate it.. I'm a shaman so that suck a** for me.

i don't know, i'm a little bit of both shamanism and christian i think.........

the problem is that my parents aren't really religious people. My dad is everything against Christianity saying that the Bible and stuff are a load of bullshit and he prefers Buddhism instead because the teachings are more logical and realistic. My mom still follows shamanism but doesn't hold the ceremonies all the time or hang charms and talismans around the house.

this is what happens when your parents are 100% Hmong and your dad is extremely educated with a Bachelor's degree and full of logic and realism. You can never get into a permanent religion at all.

My teacher said that if you look at alot of those religions, most of them can be related

whenever i talk to my aunts or uncle i get really nervous. i cant speak fluent hmong but i still speak a little hmong. i raelly dont hang out with hmong people at school, my friend is hmong but she dont have any classes with me and most of my classes have no hmong people in there so i dont really speak hmong.

Oh yea...
whenever people like aunts or uncles visit my parents tell me to greet them and hahaha i dont like greeting people cus its weird....

Ha, it's not my aunts and uncles that i am worried about, it is the elderly that i am worried about, they speak fluent hmong and idk how to speak it fluently but i can have a small chat as long as i don't don't have to use big sentences.

well, i don't know how to read or write hmong, but i certainly know how to speak it though its not fluent

Being white wash is fine to an extent, but as long as you hang on to your cultural identity. Growing up Asian in any western country is hard as hell, need to balance so many things.

lol man, I wish our church had a church choir. Then again, I'm glad we don't. I'm glad we have a band though xD but my best friend is like that. She can't speak Hmong whatsoever! xD But she can understand Hmong and I'm sorta teaching her.
