Manga and anime people are just as weird as furries. I bet 90% have at least some porn, if not a TON of it on their computers. And even if there isn't "porn" the anime's/manga's/(games that feature the other two) themselves often have "fap material" in them.

Actually, I don't think it's really a surprise that they're just as much sexual. Seems rather obvious. I mean, there's Yaoi Gallery (or Y!-Gallery) just dedicated towards adult depictions of most feminine men with a sprinkling of masculinity here and there but likely male artists. razz

My real issue is that those two idiots were calling their sexual fetish, the act of dressing up in animal costumes during, furry. The fact of the matter is that particular kink belongs in the category of plushophilia. This is just one of many kinks that people, even within this fandom, correlate with furries incorrectly. I will not argue that there is not good reason why people associate plushphilia and other kinks with furries, it is because we are so open about our sexual interest and so they get put into the spotlight often. However, just about any kink that you see represented in furry works was not invented by furries themselves, but rather introduced by those that happen to come across those kinks from an outside source or already had them before becoming a part of the furry community. Keep in mind that nearly every kink you see withing the furry fandom does exist outside the fandom a plenty, it is just that most people tend to keep such matters to themselves and the bedroom.

Beyond the sexual connection they created with fursuits, they also misrepresented the fandom by saying furries are people with an inner animal. That might be true for them by not true for everyone in the fandom. About the only explanation of furry that is acceptable is that it is about people with an affinity towards anthropomorphic animals and fantasy creatures. This is the core of our fandom, the one constant that never wavers. There is nothing spiritual about furries, any spirituality one my have is there own and has nothing to do with the fandom, it is the when it comes to one's sexuality. The fandom itself is not based on sex, but human are sexual creatures and pervert everything.

Those that may not be fursuiters may also not understand that some of the anger geared towards the two that came on that show is not so much the connection to sex and fursuits they made to furries, but the connection they made to sex and fursuits. The majority of fursuiters do not engage in sexual acts in their suits, at most they just cuddle in them. There are, however, a great deal of them that like to wear their costume as a hobby and not just for special events such as cons. As you might imagine, they would rather people not think of them as sexual deviants when they seem them in their suits especially considering that some do so for the entertainment of others, including paying jobs.

Seriously, what we do in our private time should be what WE do and shouldn't be of any concern of anyone else. I'm pretty sure all of you furs have your own fun time in different ways. It's furs like these who keep screwing us up. Furry's were a very bad example of "weird sex". You wanna know weird? Go to FChan. Theres some pretty creepy crap in there. Most of it isn't even exactly furry oriented, there are people out there who never even heard of a fur yet and know this stuff.

Exactly. The way the people on the show presented the fandom was: Furries are people who own suits and ******** in them.

As someone who's met hundreds of furries in person I know that: A) Most furries do not own fursuits. B) Most furries who do own fursuits do not have sex with them. However, if someone was to find out about furries solely from this show, they would possibly get the wrong impression, see someone out in suit entertaining children or something, and think the guy in the suit is at best a fetishist, and at worst a sexual deviant that might molest the children. :/

Not one suiter that I know ever uses it for sex. And quite a few do it because they love to make children happy (in a non-sexual way of course...get your minds out of the gutter xp ).

Yeah, that is a little warped...But hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess. Heh...Kinda reminds me of that CSI episode way back when.

And I'm one of those suiters that won't have sex in it...I mean, I paid way to much for it to just do that XD I see my suit as a way to bring the character to life, much more so than what you can through art and writing. And I will admit, while I don't personally like kids, it does make me smile when they see the suit and grin, or even run up and hug me while I'm wearing it. That happened more than once while I was in Tucson ^_^
