The town of Goodwill has always been on the verdant grasslands between the Borean reaches and the volcanic mountains of the Dragonsblood faction. It is a small settlement, occupied mainly by slightly less organized creatures known as Ursine and the Equine. The Ursine are a bear-like creature that are well known for their tenacity, tribal cultures and their ferocity in battle. The Equine are no less infamous. They are the modern representation of centaurs, half-humanoid, half-horse. Skilled in the arts of skirmishing and hunting, they tend to roam the plains between the large mountain ranges and call all of the grasslands their home.

Three tribes, one Ursine, one Equine and one Katar, have gathered within Goodwill to hear Ferron and Starfall out. This talk of equality and peace is simply to grand of a dream to allow to slip by unnoticed, at least by their measure. Handfuls of the three main factions as well have shown here, the Boreans, the Dark Elves and a very few Drakes have come to see what this Ferron has to say.

He will begin his speech at sundown.

Shadowtooth looked around with disgust. He saw somebody looking at him. He growled and snaked his tounge out. That didn't frighten them off, so he began to wander. He wished he would have chosen flight keeper, then he wouldn't have to look at these lesser beings. His patience was waning slowly as he waited for this man. He sat and watched the sky. He didn't want to be here, but he was ideed curious.

Shini and Kami waited at the fringes of the village, glad that there were very few drakes, trying to decide what to do. They had come to the village in the middle of the night before and so still had to make themselves known. That is, if they wanted to be known, which Shini wasn't too fond of at the minute.

She tried her best to go unnoticed, hiding her scales and any other traits that would mark her as a Drake as best as she could with her cloak, but it wasn't easy with Kami next to her.

"I'm sorry," Kami apologized.
Shini waved her hand and whispered, "Don't worry, it's not you fault that you're so big. It's perfectly normal and that's great."

Kami put his head down to try and appear smaller and less threatening, thinking that maybe it would attract less attention. As he did so, his white scales gleamed in the sunlight and attracted even more eyes. he thought to himself as he saw more people look in there direction.

Shini quietly glanced around from under her hood, several groups were whispering and pointing at them. It seemed that the dragon and his keeper were attracting the most attention. she thought to herself as she noticed how much attention they were attracting.

It seemed like the two of them will be at the edge of the village for a long time.

Shadowtooth saw a commotion going on. "This had better be worth my time." He said to himself. He shoved several people out of his way. They didn't mind, they were to busy staring. He shoved his way to the front of the small crowd and saw a flight keeper. He could tell that there was a flight keeper because of the dragon. He had to wonder out loud. "Exactly how many drakes came to...this?" He said as politely as his hate could manage.

Tiagara had taken her time on her journey south.
Her years of daily physical and mental training had toughened up the dark elf and yet, by staying amongst a Borean tribe for so long, she was quite foreign to the beauty and danger of the world and most of all she had become a stranger to the customs and traditions of the people of her own faction.

She did not hate dark elves but she still resented the cowardice she had witnessed amongst her own people. Not that she had ever been truly welcome amongst the Boreans, but she had seen some courage and pride in their ways which made her accept the indifference they treated her with, despite the long years she had past amongst them.

As Tiagara reached Goodwill, she had eyes wide opened with wonders. She knew a lot...in theory...but had not seen much. The outskirts of the town were filled with unique creatures: ursines, equines and katar. The elf was looking right and left like a kid discovering the world, sometimes even staring at people.

Her childish wonder led her steps forward without watching where she was heading. That was until she bumped into something hard and big.

"Ouch!" the elf stepped back to look at what she had bumped into. The answer was a huge dragon. The woman's eyes widened at Kami. The last time she saw such a beast, they were bombing her settlement and drakes were killing anything that was coming to their hand. She felt her muscles tightening, her mouth drying up and her fist clenching, but she did not move, just staring at the huge beast.

Shadowtooth sniffed the air. "An elf, argh!" He thought angrily. He looked forward. His anger intensified. Mellowing out was not his thing. He did the only thing he could to stop himself from attacking anything that wasn't a drake. He polished his spear. His curious nature took over and he walked over to the dark elf. "Are you here for the call also." He asked conceling his anger towards those he considered lower.

He sheathed his spear and tried not to glare. The smells of very single creature here were flooding him. He snarled slightly while talking. "It's best not to stare." He said. He bit down when he finished talking to keep his mouth closed. His body ached for something to happen. The most he could do was reach back and loosen the strap that held his spear up.

Tiagara was startled by the male voice coming at her. She stared at the drake which had appeared in front of her. She looked at the dragon and back at the drake. From what she had read, this drake could not mount that dragon. The drake was too big and heavily armored, he was not a flight keeper, probably a clawbearer. even worse... she thought.

Despite her dislike or rather her hate for the ugly creature standing in front of her, Tiagara was surprised that he addressed her...almost politely. Going out of his way to ask a question and even...telling her something about himself! She was truly taken off guard. So he was here for the call? A drake?

"I am here out of curiosity." she answered, noticing some impatience on the monster upfront. She smirked when he said 'not to stare'. She wondered if he was addressing her or the people who were passing and obviously staring. Well she had to admit, she was staring too. The last time she was so close to a drake...well she did not want to think about it. Now that she was so close, she somehow wanted to touch the beast. A strange idea...and probably very stupid too. For the moment she waited, still, but did not fully forget her stupid idea.

Shadowtooth on the inside, wanted nothing more than to be on his way, but he'd broken away from his home, going back wouldn't be easy. He retightened his spear's straps, sensing no extreme danger. "Curious huh?" He said. He mentally whipped himself for this. He extended his hand. "I am Shadowtooth, clawbearer." He said with a slightly disgusted tone. He still wanted to know where this person who wanted them was.

Tiagara stared at the extended hand. Was that a trick? She blinked. Trying to gather her memories on the subject 'extending a hand'. Something came up about 'a way to introduce yourself, to greet people, to be friendly'.
friendly?! the mind of the elf was racing. Nothing in that monster was friendly: his appearance, his weapons, his armor, his tone. He was not 'friendly'...and yet...he was extending his hand.

Tiagara was trying to find a way to refuse. She did not want to be 'friendly' to that monster! Then it hit her. She could touch him! That was a safe way to touch him! And the monster himself was offering that unique opportunity to her.

The elf smiled with a broad happy smile, despite her hate and everything, she was going to touch a drake!

She extended her hand and grabbed the huge beast's hand and shook it. Her smile broaden at the contact. So unique and interesting. She was so concentrated on shaking his hand that she did not introduce herself at all but she smiled and then removed her hand without a word.

Shadowtooth was slightly shoked. Him shaking hands with an elf was like a king having dinner with a begger. He wanted to bite down on his hands or burn away the elf's presense, but he'd already shooken her hand. "And you are, I don't work well with less- people I don't know." He caught himself. He would not voice himself until he'd been introduced and made any type of connection with these people.

Shadowtooth looked back slightly, his spar gleamed in the light. It was a thing of beauty to a warrior. He regained focuse and listened to what she would say. He was wondering why she took his hand so willingly.

As the other Drake approached, Kami tensed and got into a more defensive position around Shini. He, like his keeper, knew about the order that had been spread, the order to kill all drakes that had betrayed their species. If this drake had been sent here on that order, things could get very messy, very quickly. It was only Shini's gentle touch on his body that kept him from growling.

"Calm down," Shini whispered to Kami, "This is supposed to be a gathering of all races."
Kami growled quietly so that only Shini would hear, "And how do we know that this Drake isn't here to attack this gathering?"
"We don't, but we cannot attack for no reason. We are here for peace and cooperation, isn't that what convinced you to come here in the first place?" Shini whispered back to her dragon.
Kami gave her a look that said, "I did but.... Fine, I won't attack him... yet. If he makes a suspicious move then...."

Shini nodded, that was enough for her. She peaked over Kami's back to see that the Night Elf that had bumped into Kami was now talking to the Drake, which she took to be a Clawbearer.

Kami focused her attention on the pair as well, who were now the center of attention.

"How did the Elf get to argue with the Drake?" he asked.
Shini replied softly, "The Elf bumped into you and attracted the Drake's attention."
Kami gave her a curious look, "Someone bumped into me?"
Shini just shook her head, she knew how Kami could get when he was focused on something, "Don't worry about it."

The two continued to quietly watch the conversation along with the rest of the people there.

Shadowtooth's tone completely changed as he saw the other drake finally take notice. The dragon, however, didn't seem to like him at all. "Hello flight bearer, I don't think we've ever met, even at the crag." He said, slowly getting ready to grab his spear if the dragon threatened him. "My name is Shadowtooth, clawbearer, former soldier for the crimson crag." He said. He took one step forward, not touching his weapon yet, at least trying to get a name.

Shini looked suspiciously at the other drake, his name was Shadowtooth according to him but one could never be too sure. While she may have persuaded Kami to not attack him, that didn't mean that she liked him. She was just as suspicious of this Claw Bearer as Kami was, just not as rash.

Kami shifted her position so she could get into a better position to defend Shini should Shadowtooth attack. She uttered a low growl, clearly showing that the the other drake shouldn't come any closer.

Shini calmed Kami down again, "We're not here to fight," she repeated.
Kami relaxed a bit but continued to be ready for a fight, they wouldn't go down without a fight.

Shini focused her eyes on Shadowtooth and nodded in greeting. It was true that she did not recognize him from Crimson Crag, but she didn't go out much unless necessary so that wasn't a surprise. After nodding she and Kami turned to go to the other side of the village. She'd prefer no to hang around another Drake.

Shadowtooth looked at his armor from his escape of the Crag. It was torn where there was light armor, battered and broken where the armor was heavy. He needed something new. He looked at his spear again. It was a bit bloody, he'd have to clean it before the blade at the end rusted.

He removed his armor in a location nobody seemed to be at. He was slightly thin for a clawbearer. He repaired it with whatever he had on hand. He looked up at the sky again. He put his armor back on, but only the leggings and such. He polished his spear without his top armor on.

He somehow had deemed this safer. He was trying not to tear the light armor protecting his shoulders. He took a quick scan of the area around him and concluded nobody was here. He checked his spear. It was almost twice as long as his arm. He started to clean it again.

He'd meet up with the elf later. Right now he worried for himself. How would he fare agasint another clawbearer now. Being this thin counted as a weakness among clawbearers. He was still amazed at his escape.
