Personality: As the daughter of the goddess of love, it might seem unusual that Hari is a trifle standoffish when it comes to showing affection, that doesn't mean she doesn't love with every part of her fierce, furry heart. She can certainly be ornery when it suits her, and she likes to play games with people, particularly those she likes, but she hasn't a malicious bone in her body - she just loves to be the center of attention, and her games are another way to win herself attention. That's also part of why she sings, though she also sings to show those she loves her affection.
As a seer, she gets visions of other seers as they are having their visions. She doesn't see what they see. She just sees them as they're seeing whatever they're seeing. This ability will be what sparks her interest in the wider world, and will eventually encourage her to seek out the lions in her visions.
History: Born into the Mizuka'nyevu, Hari learned to appreciate stealth and silence, but her curiosity and desire to be the center of attention made it difficult for her to exemplify these traits. She always had a burning curiosity about the world beyond the mists, and when tragedy struck and the pride's numbers were decimated by a plague Hari left her home and wandered, thinking that someday she would meet a certain striped lion she had seen in her visions. Over time Hari found herself in the desert, taken in by a pride of so-called desert thieves who appreciated her singing and she elected to stay, having recognized the scenery from visions she'd had of the future where she and her striped lion were together.

Personality: A born performer, Imbra loves to be the center of attention, and feels that adoration is her due. After all, she's beautiful, she's not unintelligent, and she is utterly fearless. Imbra will run any race and take any dare, regardless of how foolish or dangerous it might be, just to stay in the limelight. She isn't unempathetic, however, and while she doesn't much care for listening to others talk without interrupting, she can. History: Born of a one night stand between Mana and a cheetah he thought was named Tesanya, Imbra and her siblings were unexpected, to say the least. Her father was not ready to be a father, and had no desire to have cubs, and so Imbra and her siblings were placed under a nanny's care. Mana remained a presence in their lives, but he did not grow very close to any of his cubs or take too much of an interest in them.

Personality: Tare is capable of being independent, and she will fight tooth and claw against people who try to curtail her activities or impose restrictions on her, but secretly she wants to belong to and with someone. Her secret desire for romance, however, is buried deep, though she'll flirt quite happily and has no objections to one night stands, providing no one tries to limit her freedom.
History: Tare grew up quickly and alone, learning to be completely self-reliant and if not fearless, at least able to pretend otherwise. She discovered early that her good looks could be both beneficial and a nuisance when it came to dealing with males, and has ever since walked a line between allowing males to enjoy her and scorning them out of hand. Until she met Arindam, and spent a night with him. When she woke in the morning he was gone and she found herself obsessed with proving to herself that there was nothing special about him.
When it became apparent she was pregnant, at first Tare didn't know whose cubs they would be, due to her deliberate promiscuity since her night with Arindam, but when they were born it was obvious they were his get. Living with five cubs, one of whom is practically his father's twin, keeps her on the verge of crazy most of the time, since this is just the sort of responsibility she'd always hoped to avoid.

Personality: Hiimatayt is nowhere near as dark as her coloration and name-stone might suggest. If anything, this girl is more like a bundle of sunshine, and everything she does, she does whole-heartedly, and with a smile. Even when she doesn't like what she has to do, she smiles. Imagine Disney's Cinderella - or Snow White. She's very persistent and thinks that everyone needs to have their day brightened, and that it's her job. She will keep at it until they smile, too. Clearly, shyness is not a problem with her.
History: Tay was every bit the bundle of sunshine outlined in her personality section growing up and for some time after reaching adulthood, when she became a nanny in the Dawnwalkers. However, after pining for most of her life after a lion who wouldn't give her the time of day, even after pledging himself to her, Tay's heart finally broke and she grew as deeply unhappy as she had once been happy. The only solution she could see was to leave her pride and her family and especially her unrequited love and seek a new life. Eventually she came across a small viking band and was brought back to the pride as a thrall.

Personality: Always large, and with a speed which seemed unfair, Aesir was a born fighter, and what's more he relished it. As a cub he knew that might makes right, and was always quick to impose his will on others, even when they had different ideas. As he grew older, he grew into something of an unholy terror, unafraid to go after what he wanted and brutal in the pursuit. He is still just as brutal, but he's learned to plot and scheme to get his way, and not just use his strength.
History: Not Freeborn, Aesir came to his position in the Stormborn by winning a Challenge and working his way quickly and violently through the ranks. It took him less than a year to achieve Captaincy, as the Captain of his first band died on a raid and he was elected to the position in her stead, and two years to decide that he would make a better Warlord. Unfortunately, the current Warlord was in perfect health, and not likely to die any time soon, Aesir took matters into his own paws and challenged him for the position. He lost that first challenge, but not his life, and was made a Thrall. From this position he seduced the Warleader's pretty young bride and convinced her to kill the Warleader and name him her consort. To this end, he enlisted the aid of a priestess named Morrigan who supplied the necessary herbs to kill the Warleader. When he became Warleader, Aesir gifted the former consort to one of the Captains to ensure his loyalty and support and named Morrigan his wife.

Personality: Cor is fiercely loyal to those she loves, and indifferent to everyone else. But whether she loves someone or not, Cor will lie to them. She can't help it, and she doesn't want to help it. She'll tell big lies ("I heard that the high priestess is in love with a hyena"), little lies ("I didn't take that"), and everything in between. She doesn't think much about plausibility, and will frequently contradict herself within a single breath. Aside from the lying, Cor is a pleasant cub who doesn't actually mean to do anyone harm and just likes to have people listen to her.
Because her father is frequently out scouting, Cor was raised mostly by others, but she idolizes her father, being too young to understand most of her parents' story, and only seeing it as a story about her father, which means he must be the hero. No one else in the pride is as wonderful as her father, and any criticism of him is met with fierce denial. But as long as that doesn't come up, Cor's a perfectly agreeable cub, aside from the fact that she lies to everyone about everything, simply because she enjoys the power that comes with lying. She's better at lying to cubs, since they don't intimidate her, but she lies to adults just as readily, though with less success I would imagine.
History: Cor was the only daughter of a very angry lioness. Her mother fell in love with a scout of the Kitwana'antara and gave herself to him, knowing about the pride's disease and choosing to take the risk. When she fell ill and pregnant around the same time, her love evaporated in terror that she would die. Interestingly enough, the illness she had was completely unrelated to that carried by the pride, but she didn't see any need to differentiate. As soon as she'd borne Cor, she left, never to be seen again. It didn't occur to her that she wouldn't have been allowed to leave if she'd had their disease. She has never looked back, and Cor has never wondered about her.
She's diseased, and her symptoms will be evident from the first, though they won't be progress past the first stage until she reaches middle age.
I plan to kill her (NPC) father off when she's a little older, which will only make her idolize him more. Also, I'd be very amused to involve her in a Boy Who Cried Wolf-type plot, where she's actually telling the truth about something vital, and no one will believe her. Lots of frustration, but personal growth may or may not happen. People don't always learn from their experiences, after all.
