((Aw, they are SO cute!))
Jatukaa had to reflect on the subtle changes that had happened over the last couple of months. She'd spent quite some time wandering around before she'd made it here. She had learned to hunt and to care for herself, how to find shelter in a storm, how to treat injuries, and most importantly how to read others and how to interact with others. She felt that she had, unwittingly, fulfilled the mission that her family had sent her to do.
They'd told her to go and learn how to be an adult. At the time, she'd been so angry and hurt. However, they'd done her a great service. They had set her on the path that would lead to her own self-discovery and look where she had ended? She was in her new home, where she felt she belonged. The idea of muses, which had seemed so foreign and strange at first, made perfect sense. She had an entirely colony of new friends and a new pride and family. And she had Zuri.
She felt she'd changed in other ways too. She knew there were times to be serious and times to be playful and when it was appropriate. She had learned about self-sufficiency and about responsibility. Those were things she'd learned on her own. Now that she was here though, Zuri had taught her new things as well.
Zuri brought out the best in Kaa. He helped to calm her sometimes overbearing personality. He had taught her how to analyze a situation and think it through before making a decision. She had learned not to be so impulsive too, though she was still not afraid to speak her mind and to tell things bluntly.
Smiling at his statement she looked over and caught his eye.
"Thank you. I am very glad to have made it here myself. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't wandered through the trees and landed on the beach. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't met you."

Their eyes locked and his heart constricted painfully. She spoke, and the sweet words that slipped off her tongue made him feel shy, and uncertain. Suddenly Zuri couldn't remember how to breathe, and his mind raced with the possibilities of what she could have meant by that.
It made him so happy to hear that she was also glad she had stayed. It made him slightly sick with nerves to wonder why she didn't know what she would have done without him. His muse wasn't stone for no reason. Zuri was strong and sturdy, and capable of handling a great deal of responsibility. He would make a very good partner, and a very good father.
He just didn't know it yet.
"What do you want from me?" The big lion murmured softly. It was not an accusation, and simply an inquiry. A part of him wasn't even sure he believed Kaa wanted anything at all- what could somebody like her possibly want to do with him?
What he wanted was another thing entirely. He wasn't sure he could tell her, and was terrified of having his heartbroken. He had only known this lioness for a short time, but something about her felt so very right to him. They made sense together. Zuri knew that, but he couldn't expect her to feel the same way.

Kaa felt a little shock of electricity run down her spine when there eyes met. It was so obvious that they were meant to be together. She could see that clearly. All she needed to do was find a way to convince him.
His question startled her a little bit and she frowned slightly. Wasn't it obvious what she wanted? She knew and she thought that he knew as well. She had no qualms about saying the words that Zuri feared to say. To her, words were easy. It was following through that was difficult.
She made sure she had his attention before she spoke.
"Don't you know? Isn't it obvious? I want you. I want to be able to spend time with you for the rest of my life. I love you, Zuri," she said, with complete sincerity.
"I hope that you love me too. This did happen very quickly, but I know it with all my heart. I was brought here for a reason. Don't you think so? But, Zuri, this is also about what you want. What do you want?"

Her honesty did not surprise him. If Zuri had expected anything, it had been for her to tell him the truth. Kaa had never done anything that he could possibly mistake for deceitful behaviour. There was no honour in lies and Zuri knew, in his soul, that he could never feel so strongly about a lady who resorted to such things.
So she wanted him. She loved him. It sounded too good to be true.
Zuri waited a moment to let her words sink in, and simply stared at her as he adjusted to this momentous piece of news. He licked his lips and, when he spoke, it was with an emotional tremor in his voice. Feelings were so hard for him.
"I'm surprised you have to ask," he found the strength within himself to smile softly at her, and reached out to place his paw gently over top of hers, "All I want is you."
The big lion smirked to change the mood, wary of its intensity, "I've grown quite used to sharing my cave. I think I would miss you terribly if you weren't to stay with me always."
((oh my god i have a toothache lol))

((Lol, I know! xD I think this could finish it off, unless you wanted to add more?))
Kaa grinned at the sight of his paw over hers and it was all she could do to keep from getting up and dancing around. He wanted her too! They fit together perfectly, it was simply meant to be. Jatukaa knew that she would be able to spend the rest of her life here with him. She breathed in a breath of cool air and allowed herself to revel in these moments of true bliss.
She giggled at his comments, glad that he'd used a joke to lessen the intensity of the situation. His sense of humor was something that she really enjoyed and she wasn't afraid to joke right back.
"Admit it, you would get lonely if you couldn't share the cave with me and a colony of bats. We keep you company! Besides, the cave would certainly get boring and dull without me to add my decorating touch," she added with a wink.
With a happy sigh she curled up next to Zuri's side, completely content. She knew that as long as she had him by her side, she would be happy forever. She had truly found happiness.
