Personality/History: Kadovar doesn't know his birth family, being found floating in the shallows of a far off island by a beautiful queen and her eldest son. This queen carried his basket to her home, and awaited his arrival. He looked so much like her children, it must be fate! Of course, when one crazed, angry thunderhawk foal sprung out and attacked, the queen was less then amused.

Asking one of her other adopted children, an Angeni, to charm the foal the queen was able to calm the little foal down and raise him with her other children. Kado is quite the grump, and isn't a fan of talking. He'd much rather sit back and observe then involve himself in the politics of the rest of the family. He took it upon himself to protect his sisters, being their bodyguard when their sire would return to attempt to torment them or their brothers. As soon as Kado reached adult size, their sire quickly stopped coming around.

Life was going along just fine when his first and only nephew was kidnapped just hours after his birth. The family scoured the island and its surrounding archipelago, but the foal was gone. Word reached the queen that the sire of her eldest children had been the one to alert the monster, and she was enraged. Unable to leave the island herself, and her son devastated, she asked Kado to take flight, find her grandchild, and kill anyone he needed to. All to happy to follow his mother's request, Kado made his way swiftly to the lands where the foal had to be.

Be it his size or his rage, Kado was easily able to obtain the information he wanted. But, time had passed, and what he found was not a foal but a fully grown stallion. Assuming the stallion he was with was the tormenter he'd wanted to kill since he was a child, Kado attacked. Raka stepped in and forced him to stop, demanding to know who he was and why he was attacking his family. It didn't take Kado long to figure out this was not his tormentor, but his son, who had suffered a worse fate than he and his sibling had ever dreamed.

Explaining that Raka was a missing prince, and Bhal had 5 other siblings, Kado quickly learned that his nephew had been raised well. Relieved, the skinwalker quickly few back to his home to alert his family. He then shared he would return and protect his nephew until the rest of the family could join them in the new lands.

Kado can often be found traveling with his nephew and half brother during their journeys, and prefers to spend most of his time in his spirt form, usually riding on Raka or Bhal's backs. This way, he has the element of surprise should the need for battle arise, and...so he doesn't have to talk. He's not a charmer, and if forced to speak is rather blunt and unforgiving. But he is a fierce protector of his family, and will happily kill to save them. While usually quite calm, an explosive temper lurks under the surface like the volcano he is named for.

Personality: Found as a basket by Ruya, the winged lioness, Morana was born to a cruel father and an absent mother. Blessedly, her father does not know of her existence, but Ruya watched the stallion woo Mora's mother and then turn to the abuse once he had her. The mare, a strong Kalona, fled into the woods away from her abuser when she discovered she was with foal. She couldn't bear to raise the monster's child, but she couldn't bear to leave them in his clutches either. So she made the decision to abandon the foal. Ruya hid the basket away in a cave and raised the mare as best she could.

Not much for conversation, Morana is an observer. Growing up basically alone, the mare didn't learn social skills in the way most others did. From that, she didn't gain the same social customs or taboos that permeate many, so if you're looking for a totally nonjudgmental soul, you've found one. She doesn't know what is considered 'normal' or not, and she really doesn't care. So long as she is not in danger, what others do is none of her concern. Since she has no idea about most social customs, family bonds confuse her. She has Ruya, who she supposes is family, but she doesn't understand why the little lioness just stays with her. She doesn't grasp why families stick together and watched many families as a foal to try and understand why on earth they liked each other so much. She still didn't understand, so she's known to ask questions of those who travel with their siblings/parents or children.

She has an interest in the macabre and likes to collect bones, especially long bones and skulls. She creates lanterns, necklaces... anything her customers may want, she can make. She also collects other non-living items, and especially enjoys crystals and feathers. She finds interesting things and takes them here and there to trade with others. If something is lost, you may just find it with her or she may know exactly where it is.
