Well, I see no benefit of Lady Killer OR Black Widow. They are undoubtedly useful to you. But me, being a very good character who prefers speach over bullets, once you get like, 50 points in speech maybe? Those perks are relatively useless around level 8 and beyond.

They're not purely dialog options. They give damage bonuses to the opposite sex as well.

That being said, female is definitely better. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but Talon company is entirely male (except for 3 or so scripted ones who are dead).

I beg to differ. I find the 5% bonus useless IMO

You may personally find it useless, but the fact remains that it exists.

I don't find there to be much of a difference except that the male characters have funnily named beards! whee But appart from the Black widdow/Lady killer perk theres no difference is there?

I've played as both, and I prefer female, partly because I often run around in third person except in combat so it's nice to see something more attractive then repeating dirt textures ;D though your character is also slimmer as a female, making you a smaller target. Which may not seem like much, but if you run around and strafe a lot it can be the difference between dying, or having that rocket launcher missle buzz right past you.

signed also, 5% extra damage is pretty good. I love the Bloody Mess perk. Add in the female damage bonus? That's a total extra 10% damage with EVERYTHING you carry. Not bad eh?

Well i tried the game as both. And i would say female for the black widow perk. Since that run i hardly had to use my bullets to get my point across (since i had to do that with male) but then again i maxed the hell out of speech. >_> and if i had to id V.A.T.S the hell out of whoever resisted my womanly charms XD

I have a level 30 female, a level 20 male, and a level 9 male. I've completed the game with the female character and have both the black widow and child at heart perks. I've found it beneficial to have either black widow/lady killer b/c they pose both a bonus and some fun dialogue. I found the black widow perk amusing when doing the nukacola challenge, but useless b/c I had the quantum chemist perk. I also found the puppies perk useless b/c in order to keep Dogmeat alive I usually have him/her (not sure the gender) search for stuff I really don't need for me. My characters have so many perks that increase rad resistance I caped out and still went for more perks based off of it. Most the time I go after resistance perks, so gender doesn't effect me too much.

I'd love to have boobies to play with too. I have a friend that plays with hers when she's bored. She even does it in school.

I hate playing female characters. I feel....out of my element...
But Black widow is pretty nice in fallout, I'd say.

as for the whole bethesda hot lady stuffs..
Fallout 3 red head with sexy sleep wear or whatever the outfit was called that Nova wears? pretty good.
