thanks for breaking it down. How do we used it sentences?

Dictionary form can be used in a sentence the same way you would masu form. The main difference is in the politeness level. The basic grammar doesn't change.

ex. すしをたべます

means the same thing as

すしをたべる

Is it alright to think that first group is public verbs(stuff you do anywhere), two is everyday verbs, and three is action(movement)? thats the pattern I see

The easiest way to learn these is simply to learn these first. Don't learn a verb in any form other than dictionary form. From there, there are tricks and hints to altering them to other forms. For instance the te-form song is used to remember which kind of verbs qualify for what form of te-form. The song follows the same tune as "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"

Te Form Song:
u, tsu, ru -> tte
mu, bu, nu -> nde
ku-> ite
gu -> ide

u, tsu, ru -> tte
mu, bu, nu -> nde
ku-> ite
gu -> ide

u, tsu, ru -> tte
mu, bu, nu -> nde
ku-> ite
gu -> ide
su -> shite
u-verb te fo-mu
