Depends on three things:

1. How hot it gets. If it's like the descriptions I've heard of Phoenix in the summer I ain't going there.

2. How cold it gets. At the same time I'd rather not freeze my nuts off.

3. How much it costs to live there. If it's too expensive I'll stay here in California. Even Nevada is pricey, or at least the areas I've been to (Carson City and Lake Tahoe) are.
I live in louisiana. its cheap to live here as well, one of the reasons my folks moved here.
more lax gun laws than texas


I think texas is probably the cheapest. not to mention youll probably pay the least taxes in the country

No idea about cost of living up north. I doubt it's that bad though... prime real estate apartments near ASU bottom out around $450/mo for a studio. In more reasonable places, they fall under the $300/mo mark for a 1/1 apartment.
