Recon_Ninja_985 Jackie Flores I agree in that a .50AE round fired from a DEagle will likely be stopped. I must add, however, that anyone who actually advocates using a DEagle in a combat situation should be shot. only Deagle I would consider using would be the .357 only if it feeds properly, some of them arent so great and others work ok I would take a .10mm glock or .357 revolver over a deagle any day though I wouldn't want a DEagle even if it didn't jam every couple rounds. It's just too massive.

HelloJohnnyBlade There would be a huge point to a .50AE if there was a versitility of the types of ammunition. If they'd make armor piercing tips. The point of the .50 AE was to combine two common cartridges .45 and 9mm. .45 ACP has a nasty tendency to drop at a range. 9mm has the tendency to "bounce" or ricochet off targets. So put them together you have a cartridge that can travel as far as a 9mm and have the penetration and stopping power of a .45 at point blank. There's your point. The only problem is...It's really ******** expensive and all tips have to be custom made. And you can't use lead. Lead ******** up the gas system.

It's why I'd stick with a Grizzly LAR.
Really now there are only 3 semi automatic handguns I know of that shoot .50AE and the only one worth while is a Grizzly.
How hard can it be to take the HK mk 23 and apply that design to suit .50AE?
