Personality: Sandcatcher is a very intuitive and curious kind of guy. He is always following his gut into situations, whether his gut is wrong or not. He has a keen head on his shoulders and means well, though at times his intuitiveness leads to more harm than good. He wont hesitate to try to take the blame for something, after all, it was most likely his idea. And even if it wasn't, he is the first to pipe up and declare otherwise. With his charming grin and that subtle way he works his eyes, he can usually get him what he wants. Despite his knack for leading himself into less than desirable situations, Sandcatcher is very meticulous about anything he does. Everything has to be perfect and within a system. A crazy system that only he himself seems to follow. Heaven forbid if you ask him to explain it! This is probably the one thing that can keep him focused from time to time, is his need to carry out a task to perfection. He wont stop until its done, and its done correctly.
Prompt Response: Sandcatcher had indeed heard this lecture from his father many many times. Never wander off alone, your too young, its too dangerous, bla bla bla. He knew this well enough, and under any normal circumstances, wouldn't have done so. But this time was different. At least in his mind. Letting out a gentle sigh, he pressed his ears to his head, widened his eyes, and flashed that charming grin he was known for. It wasn't working this time. Hanging his head, he rubbed his paws nervously against each other, watching the sand shift between them. He meant well, really. And he loved his father as much as the next, he wouldn't dare do anything to hurt or upset him....except for...well this time. Oh and that time.....aaannnd that time too. And lets not forget about last week either.

"But I just had to! You see I had this feeling..." he tried to explain, but was cut short. Given his history with his "feelings", he knew his Father was doubtful. He couldn't explain why he had to go there because he never got the chance to actually get there and find out. But his gut was telling him something exciting lay waiting to be discovered out there, and he wanted to know. Badly. "But daaaad! What if its something serious that could endanger the pack?!" he tried to speak again hoping to persuade his father other wise, but it was no use. Three times this week was obviously one too many times.

Nodding or shaking his head to various responses, he kept stealing glances over his shoulder as his dad continued to tell him how dangerous it could be, or how worried he would be. The pup's heart was torn. While he did truly hate worrying his parents, this unexplainable feeling kept rising inside him. It took a few good gentle paws to the head to get his attention back where it should have been. Letting out another sigh, he shut his eyes and let his head hang low. "I'm sorry Father..." he said in a somber tone. 'You need to control that gut of yours and put it to better use!' his father said, and the words echoed in his head as he was being led back to the den. Sandcatcher sighed once again, and stole one last glance over his shoulder. Whatever was out there would have to wait for now, he was being put to work for his actions...and also where he could be watched thoroughly. At least it was fun punishment. Helping his mother in the den. Who knew "work" could be so enjoyable to a pup? As Sandcatcher glanced up to his now smiling father, a small smile began to creep over his own muzzle.
