Personality: Alcuin is a very put spoken stallion. He spent a lot of time in his youth making himself small and unnoticed because he didn't feel right, but once he knew why, and once his uncle Jean Baptiste helped him fix the problem, he really came into his own. Alcuin is usually the first to come up with a plan, take steps to achieve this plan, but also the first to deflect praise to others. He's never done anything for the glory of it, but instead for the uplifting of those around him.
History: Alcuin was born Lady Alice Misae, but had never really felt right. At the time referred to as "she," she tried to throw herself into knighthood, hoping the brought and tumble world of combat and honor would help her feel settled, but... it never quite felt right. Her father would refer to her as "lady" and "a fine young mare." The compliments settled funny on her skin. She tried to explain things to her father, but he was as confused as she was. He did, however, try to find ways that he could alleviate her discomfort.
They had all but given up hope when Claude's uncle Jean Baptiste screamed into their lands, with his novel views and understanding of the world. She had just finished speaking with him one evening, explaining that she didn't feel right in her own body, when Jean asked if he could try something. Alice said of course, and Jean carefully referred to her as "a fine young stallion, grown and crafted in the image of his father."
Alice cried into his shoulder with the relief that she felt at his statement.
Everything kind of fell into place after that. Alice changed his name to Alcuin, and asked to be referred to in the masculine, and when he got older, Jean had a local artisan craft for him a prosthetic to help him feel more like a stallion.
Personality: Antoinette is a Lady, through and through. She trained with Lady Nenharma alongside her sister, Cadeau, and while she may not be the sharply honed "Weapon of the Court" like Caddy, she certainly can hold her own. Her favorite courtly pastime is dance, and eagerly awaits the return of the traveling members of her family, when they will bring her dances and songs from all over the lands. She's friendly and graceful and always eager for a good dance partner.
History: Antoinette, along with her five other sister, just sort of... sprung into existence one day. Full formed and fully grown. They don't really know where they came from or how they got there, but they all knew there was a draw within them... somewhere. They set out almost at once, following the pulls in their hearts towards the Misae's herdlands. One look at Claude and Istas and they knew why they were drawn there. They knew where they belonged.
The family was shocked, to say the least, but due to the mysterious surprise of Cadeau years before, they all took the arrival of the six mares in stride. Never once have any of them felt out of place or like a stranger in these lands.
Personality: Vanille is a gentle stallion, preferring the tranquility of creation over the clash of battle. He was trained up as a knight but has only taken the social and moral lessons to heart. He can fight if need be, but will usually only do so as a last resort. Some of his more brash cousins call him a "pretty boy" for this, but he rarely rises to their jibes. He knows that it is all in good humor and not worth the sweat of a tussle. The fact that he truly does take great care and pride in his appearance is neither here nor there.
History: Being born into the Misae family of knights means that you always start with a foundation of combat and social lessons. Vanille was no exception. He was taught how to fight on a basic level, and while he won't be going toward anytime soon, he can protect his herd just fine. His mother supported this choice, and only hopes that he takes as much pride in his work as she does in being a knight. And she does. He approaches his art as a way to sustain and represent his family.
Vanille is an artisan, creating works of art that he can then take to sell to other soquili, familiars, and even two-leggers to help support the family in his own way. It was on one of these journeys out to sell his wares that he met Arke, who would later be his mate. He was endlessly charmed by her grace and her wiles, falling for her almost too quickly.

Personality: Having had quite a turbulent past, Suichii prefers to do nothing with his day. He feels as though he’s deserved it, and considers his life in these lands his retirement. Suichii can usually be found pouring over scrolls and tomes, searching out lore and gathering what knowledge he can to benefit his new clan and enjoying the company of his family for a few close friends. He is more than happy to make new friends, but tends not to approach new people to avoid bothering soquili who would rather be left alone.
History: Suichii was found as a basket by a band of thieves, and raised in their trade. He grew up to be fairly good at it. He was quiet on his feet and in his demeanor, smart enough to see when a job wouldn’t pan out. He knew how to anticipate possible obstacles, his quick mind able to jump a head several steps much quicker than other members of his band. Things were... they were fine. Or at least, they were all Suichii knew. Problem was that his band was greedy, more so than he. He figured that if they stole a little from a lot of people, they would live to enjoy the hoard that they had amassed instead of risk getting caught trying to steal a whole sack of junk. But no one wanted to listen, so he was dragged along with a huge heist that, of course, went south. To avoid being caught and punished, he escaped to the Soquili Lands.
He had no intention of starting new in the beginning. He intended to find a new clan to join or maybe even start his own. Turns out, however, there was no need. Thievery, where Suichii had come from, was out of necessity. There simply wasn’t enough to go around, which bred greed and desperation. Here there was plenty. It took some time to come out of his routine but… in time Suichii settled into his retirement and met his mate, Selena. They happily raised two baskets, Nerissa and Rocket who are inseparable.
Life, however, decided that things were, perhaps, too comfortable. One day, without any explanation at all, Selena and Nerissa both went missing. Suichii and his son both tried to find them, but after months and months of searching, the decided that it was better to let them go rather than run themselves ragged.
their travels brought them to the Vulpine Herd, a clan of foxes not unlike themselves, who took them in. Suichii has taken to the role of scholar, searching for bits of lore and legend as well as herbology as a little past time.
Personality: Rocket is an adventurer. The sure fire way to get him to go somewhere is to tell him how dangerous it is. He’s always looking for something to do, literally anything that will be an adventure. Even a simple trip to the shore is an adventure for him. It’s all about where you look.
History: Rocket was raised in the loving embrace of his two parents, and while he doesn’t really mind, he has always longed for something more. There has to be more to his parents than what he sees right? His whole life, Rocket had been trying to ply something out of his parents about their lives before he and his sister, but they never gave anything. They always say that it’s not for him to worry about. Not his burden to bear.
He got his wish for adventure, it would seem, when his sister and mother went missing. Together with his father, he scoured the lands for them, but came up with nothing. Eventually they settled down, having found a clan of fizes who took them in, but his thirst for adventure has been... soured. It's forever interminged with the fruitless search for his family and the sadness of him and his father.
Personality: No one is really sure what happened to Emiko when she was younger, but because of it, Emiko is perpetually a child. She speaks in the third person, sees only in black and white, and doesn’t always understand the way to world works. Soquili either love or hate Emiko, but she tends not to even notice the difference. Emiko has never met a stranger before, and probably never will.
History: Either Emiko can’t recall where she came from or she won’t, but her origins are unknown. While she has been here, however, Emiko has been making a name for herself bothering innocent soquili and making friends out of soquili who don’t necessarily want to be her friend. Recently, she’s met this wonderful mare named Tequila, who introduced her to the delicious fermented fruits. Emiko spends most of her time eating those with her new and vibrant mate, and doting on her son, Koko Loco in their new herd.

Nicknames: Koko
Personality: Koko either cannot speak, or he will not speak. What he lacks in vocalization, however, he makes up for in personality. Koko tends to be a bit of a drama queen, especially when he doesn't get his way. And even if things are all according to his liking, he still finds something to pick at. Still, for all his bratty behaviors, he is very kind. Lazy, but kind. While he may not get up and help someone, he will convince them to sit down with him and have a bite to eat. He won't go and get a friend, but he'll get his own home ready to entertain.
History: Koko has lived a very easy life with his mother in their herd. He never wants for love, never feels left out of anything, and spends his days doing a whole lot of nothing, which is just the way he wants it.

Personality: Literally everything that Okiedokie does is huge. She didn't find a big clear river, she found a river that is easily a mile wide with waters more clear than crystal and sweeter than honey. She didn't get frightened by a pat in a cave, she was ruthlessly attacked by a winged demon with talons dripping with acid and a shriek high enough to shatter glass. In short, she has a pension for exaggeration. This paired with her adventurer's spirit makes for some great stories when the day is done.
History: Okeechobee was gifted to her two moms and dad by the wishing star, and as such is a bit of ad oddity. She is one of many wishing star babies in her parents' herd, and so she has never felt left out, especially not with her older brother Koko hovering over her.

Nicknames: Momo
Personality: Momo is, like her parents, very laid back. She doesn't get as excited as her sister about things but does love hearing about the adventures that she went on. Instead, Momo enjoys staying home and tending to her flower garden. She loves to grow things from seeds and see how they bloom and change with the seasons. From these flowers and herbs, she enjoys making tinctures and teas. Things that can bring health and well-being to the drinker.
On a less savory note, she also enjoys gathering and growing things for teas that... alter the mind for a time. She always knows exactly which blend of herbs and flowers would be needed for someone's more... psychedelic needs.
History: Momo, like Okee, wasn't born to her parents, but was rather gifted. Unlike Okee, however, she did not arrive as a basket. One moment, there was no Momoshu, and the next, POP! There she was! alive and fully grown with an aching tug in her chest that she followed for endless days and nights. Something that told her she wouldn't be lonely for long if she followed the pull. So follow she did, until she stumbled upon a pair of mares who looked just like her (minus a few teeth and claws) and she knew.
Personality: Memory is a very reflective stallion who prefers to listen as opposed to speak. some who speak to him may think that he is uninterested, but it is simply that he is a stallion of few words. This reflection, partnered with his penchant for close listening and his excellent memory, Memory make for a very good counselor. Often times, when someone comes to him with a problem, he can help them see a solution or a perspective that they had not thought of.
History: There isn't much to say. He was born. He grew up. When he was grown me het a mare named Flower and fell in love with her. They had three children, and of that brook only one remains with him. Flower has also vanished with the seasons, and while Memory still recalls her and their life together with an ache, it has eased with time.
Personality: Hunny has always had a tendency to wander off on her own, derailed by something that caught her interest. She tends to have a sort of wandering mind with anything that is not scientific and, more importantly, pertaining to the disappearing of her precious bees. She doesn't speak much and tends not to make eye contact. Whens he does talk, it's in very hushed tones and short sentences.
History: Memory raised Honeysuckle to always question. Everything. Never accept anything at face value. And she doesn’t. Honeysuckle is always asking why the world works the way it works. She lives her life by those rules. Always question, but most importantly, find your own answers. On that note, when she was a young mare, she noticed that bees were becoming less and less common in her family’s grove. At first she thought that there was just no more bees in the area, so she went out to try and find a way to transplant them, only to find out that there were fewer everywhere else too. This sparked a life-long pursuit of answers and solutions, to find out why the bees are vanishing and how to fix the problem.
Personality: Straterra didn't really start out as a super nice mare, but with the recent absence of her beloved sister, she's only rotted more in spirit. Mostly Straterra keeps to herself in the little hovel that she refuses to call a home.
History: WARNING ABUSE TRIGGER BELOW Straterra's mother had a one night stand with and equally irresponsible and mean stallion and as such Straterra and her sister's were left by themselves most of the time. At some point, one of the girls ran off, and Amelia hasn't seen or heard from her since.
Through Terra's childhood, her mother was neglectful and cruel. She would often blame the children for her ruined figure, the failing health, the rain, and whatever else she could think of. On a good day, this manifested in her standing over Straterra and Ambien shouting at them. On a bad one, though, Amelia wounded more than Terra's pride. But she could take it. As long as Ambien was safe and as happy as possible. If Terra took both servings of beatings, then Ambien went untouched. It was enough.
Once they were old enough, Straterra woke Ambien in the night and ran away with her to make their own home, where the two lived very happily for years. Until, that was, Ambien decided that she wanted more from life than what her mean spirited and protective sister could offer. She fell in love and left with a stallion, leaving Straterra to wonder what she could have done differently to keep her sister.

Personality: Shun is a stallion of infinite patience. He can handle patients ranging from docile to violent with soothing ease. Even out of his practice, Shun lives in a healing pool of soft light, inviting others into it whenever they need calm. That being said, there is some goofiness in his calm demeanor. He's got this lopsided grin that he gets when he makes his really bad dad jokes and puns.
History: Shun comes from a long line of healers, and each generation has passed down his or her healing techniques or tricks to the next. Shun is the culmination of six generations of practice, and as such takes his job very seriously. Before coming to the Kawani Lands, he apprenticed under his father, learning how to crush and muddle herbs and spices to numb pain, sooth soreness, and more.

Personality: Rockin' Blues is difficult to pin down personality wise. He tends to wear a lot of "masks" to fit the situation that he is in at the moment. As he's grown, it's gotten to the point that he no longer knows who he really is, but that doesn't seem to bother him. He's a social chameleon and can easy find a place for himself no matter where he is or who he is with.

Personality: Literally everything that Okiedokie does is huge. She didn't find a big clear river, she found a river that is easily a mile wide with waters more clear than crystal and sweeter than honey. She didn't get frightened by a pat in a cave, she was ruthlessly attacked by a winged demon with talons dripping with acid and a shriek high enough to shatter glass. In short, she has a pension for exaggeration. This paired with her adventurer's spirit makes for some great stories when the day is done.
History: Okeechobee was gifted to her two moms and dad by the wishing star, and as such is a bit of ad oddity. She is one of many wishing star babies in her parents' herd, and so she has never felt left out, especially not with her older brother Koko hovering over her.
