Father's Owner: GallusDomesticus : Femi Mother's Owner: Puhterodactyl : Ayo Prompt Reply: Ayo and Femi met the normal, boring way, arranged by the parents kind of way. Their mothers thought it'd be great to fix up their two kids. But as that so often happens, Femi and Ayo HATED each other. Couldn't stand a scale one the other. Had they been born venomous snakes, they each speculate that the other would have wasted no time in biting them. But Femi and Ayo really had no say in the matter, and so they were mated against their wills. They hardly protested, not wanting to disappoint their parents, but they were never really around each other. Ayo knew Femi had a mistress of sort, but never mentioned it. As long as he was out of her scales, she was happy. Then... Their parents expected babies. So the pair came through. They had babies, and they both help raise them, and as they do, either their hate for one another lessens, or they start to like each other. It's debatable. They'd probably say the former. However, recently Ayo was taken to be a familiar by a large, blue lion. Femi has become jealous of her master, and even more evidence is being given that he actually does love his mate.

Father's Owner: MoonRazor Mother's Owner: Mriae Prompt Reply:
Storms weren't all that common in the area in which the snakes lived, but that did not mean they weren't safe from things like the wind.
Although there were no storm clouds in the sky, there was a bit of hazardous weather about. This weather manifested itself in the form of gusty winds. However, luckily for the female snake, it hadn't hit her neck of the territory at that time. Things were relatively normal in the morning, and thus the girl decided to go about on a bit of an adventure: she decided that she was going to conquer a fear of heights that she had, and climb a nearby tree to do so.
The tree stared the serpent down, but the female was undeterred. She was going to do this! She wanted to face down her fear. So, with determination on her mind, she found herself shimmying up the trunk of the tree. Getting up the plant hadn't been the problem, it seemed. In fact, it was rather easy for her. Once near the top, the snake coiled herself around one of the sturdier branches and looked out on to the area where she lived. That was when she realized why she was so afraid: this tree...it was higher up than she thought. The fear of falling - that was her problem.
And her timing could not have been worse, for then the winds came.
She hung on to that branch, wrapped around it with all the strength she had so as to not be blown off. Being taken by the wind and thrown to the ground below, it would have meant death for sure. There was no way she could allow that to happen. Luckily for her, fate was in her favor, for the serpent managed to stay on her branch. However, to her misfortune, she got herself a bit tangled in the process and was unable to get free from where she had coiled herself only hours before the winds had come.
"Uhh...a little help here."
It didn't take long for her pleas to be answered, and by none other than a handsome male snake. He seemed to have been hiding out during the large gusts of wind, and just so happened to be in the area. Perhaps she wasn't totally lost, after all. Her fellow serpent, it turned out, was more than willing to help her. The moment he saw what sort of predicament she was in, he wasted no time; he had to help get her down, and the sooner, the better, for who knew if another gust of wind would blow by.
Needless to say, he was her snake in shimmering scales that day. The moment the two of them were back safely on the ground, all the two of them could do was chuckle about the situation. The female had to admit: it was a pretty funny situation. Plus, if he hadn’t come along, she would still probably be up in that tree. The male wasn’t without jokes of his own, however, and continued to lighten the mood by teasing her lightly, "I guess this means we tie the knot after this?"
"Yes," was all she hissed back in an amused response. "Perhaps it is."
The rest, as seen by evidence of five beautiful hatchlings, is history.
