I want to be in the pride! Name: Asmita Meaning: Hindu for “pride” Personality: Asmita wishes she could please her mother badly. She at first doesn’t know the cause of it, but eventually realizes her mother wanted her to be more than a huntress. While still wants to make her mother proud, she sees nothing wrong with being a huntress. She respects her pride’s system and knows that the work she does is just as important as anyone else’s. She has a very kind heart, but also the strong will to back it up. People can’t just walk all over Asmita, but she won’t be aggressive either, unless a situation calls for it. As for the slaves, Asmita empathizes with them and doesn’t make too much distinction between herself and them, other than the fact that they don’t have as much protection as her. As such, she treats them almost like she would anyone else. The same goes for lions above her, although she makes sure to give them more respect. She can’t stand people who look down on slaves or even on the other classes. And if she catches you trying to order around another lion just because they’re a lower class, watch out! She also loves the Great Lion, making him a father-figure in her head, since she has none. Not knowing her father doesn't really bother her, but she still wants one. Prompt # and response: # 2 Asmita sighed as she watched her mother walking away with barely concealed disappointment in her eyes. She couldn’t help it, she had just been so excited! About an hour ago, Mita had seen some of the hunters and huntresses dragging in some kills. It was so cool, and the cub had watched carefully, knowing this would be her job someday. Once she’d gotten home, Mita had started telling her mother all about it a mile a minute, forgetting that she tried to remind her mother of her station in life as little as possible.
Climbing to the top of their den, Asmita flopped down, staring out at their pride lands. She knew it disappointed her mother that Asmita and her siblings were considered lower-middle class, and she wanted to make her mother proud and happy. But at the same time, she was excited to be a huntress, because it was an important job! She’d be responsible for feeding the pride! Besides, weren’t most of the lions pretty much the same anyway, just more or less favored by the Great Lion? Mita didn’t understand the differences much, she like everyone! And it especially made her mad when people talked down to her just because she was born at a different time, or when slaves got pushed around by the rare mean-spirited lion.
And sometimes, when she needed to cheer herself up, she thought that maybe the reason the Great Lion didn’t shine on her and her siblings fully was because he trusted them, so he only kept one eye on them. She knew this wasn’t true of course, and she’d never say it to anyone, but it helped her in times like these. If her mother wasn’t proud of her, then maybe at least the Great Lion was. Future Plots: I’d like her to maybe eventually confront her mother about her disappointment as an adolescent, and declare her pride and happiness in her class. Also, maybe her mother could try to encourage her to mate with someone upper-class, so she could at least say her daughter had been good enough to make a well-off lion love her enough to leave his class. Instead, I’d like her to lifemate with either someone of her own class out of love, or a slave out of pity and empathy, which turns to love, another obvious clash.

I want to be in the pride! Name: Illeso Meaning: Means unharmed, safe (Italian) Personality: Illeso is always at the heart of the commotion. She likes to seek out wherever something is going on, and loves to be the centre of attention. Unfortunately, this brings her into danger more often than not, even though she ought to grow up to become responsible enough to protect the pride. As a cub, Illeso is really only interested in having fun and is a bundle of disaster waiting to happen. Illeso is quite a handful. She is young, and quite reckless, and she would love to find someone who will put her in her place. She can be very stubborn at times, and often insists that she is right, and the rest of the world is out to get her. But despite these attributes, she is a very loving cub, who would love nothing more than to wholly give her full heart to someone. Once you get past the frightening energy bursts, she is very smart, witty, and will blow you off your feet. Prompt # and response: #1 Future Plots:
((Ahh crap they're kicking me out of the library! Nuuuuuu. By the time I get home I will miss the deadline by 30 minutes or so. >.> I understand if it's not possible to be considered. -bangs head- I usually do things well ahead of time... this is such a bad time for an anomaly.))
Edit: I'm going to withdraw, because I don't feel it would be fair for everyone else. sad
Good luck everyone! She's lovely <3

I want to be in the pride!Name: Damiano Meaning: One who tames; subdues Personality: Damiano is a strong personality for sure. She carries her mothers desire for a higher standing within the pride and seems determined to cause waves within the pride. If there was one member of the pride to do the impossible and change her status in the pride, it would be Damia. She's a terribly astute little girl, not that it's hard to recognize the disappointment her mother feels for her daughters place in the pride. Admittedly, it's Nko's sense of discontentment that has disillusioned Damiano from the beliefs of the pride. She questions the Great Lion, if they he exists, if he means fell for the pride, then why did he trap her under a phase of the moon that would limit her options within the pride and cause her own mother to feel dismay knowing that in no time at all her daughters will be limited to socializing with the other hunters.
Damiano tends to act like an adult, she's determined to prove her mettle and show everyone that she's capable of more than her lower-middle class image would suggest. As a result she attempts to do everything on her own, never lowering herself to ask for help from anyone.
She can be reckless, defiant, self assured and determined, but despite being a handful Damia has a lot of heart, is loyal to a fault and wants the appreciation and admiration that the higher classes are addressed with.
Prompt # and response:Prompt 3 You were playing hide-and-seek with your sibling this morning. Somehow, she managed to find the perfect hiding spot, and try as you might, you couldn't find her so you abandoned the game, thinking that she would reappear when it became obvious that you couldn't find her. Now it's noon. Your sibling has been gone for hours, and nobody has seen her. What do you do? Who would have thought her sister would have been this devoted to her hiding place? Damia gazed up at the sun high in the sky, her tail taking on an anxious tick. As the day grew later and later she found she could barely sit still. Since the decidedly abrupt end of their game of hide-and-seek Damiano had expected to see her sibling run up to her out of the brush more sooner than later. Possibly flush with anger that she had given up so easily, but more likely in tears at her sister's cruelty and neglect. To which Damia would have, breathed a sigh of relief (as discreetly as possible) and stated simply as she could that she had called out to her to call an end to the game. It wasn't her fault of she hadn't been paying attention!
Now though, with the day beginning to break and the golden globe making its descent behind the trees Damiano had decided that her knotted stomach and endless fidgeting was a sign that it was finally time to decide to go look for her sister. Perhaps she should have told an adult to help her, or told her mother what had happened, but the little cub felt more anxiety at having to fess up to her elders at having shown such irresponsibility than at the thought of possibly losing her sister. If anyone was going to find her missing kin it was going to be her!
So with a brave face, Damia set her ears straight, puffed out her chest and prepared to brave the wilds to once again, turn over every leaf of the pride lands in search of her sister and she wouldn't return until they were walking home side by side and give her sibling a long talk about causing her family to worry about her.
Future Plots: Hahaha.. this was kind of a rush entry, so I honestly don't have anything really planned. Damiano is all sorts of controversial though so I'm sure she'd be bound to cause lots of drama within the pride. ^^;
