Cubs Name: Mahlah
Meaning: Is sickly, weak
Health Status: Immune
Personality: Mahlah is in an…interesting sort of predicament. He is actually immune to the pride’s plague, but as a small cub seems to be capable of catching any and every cold that comes his way. This leads him to be certain that he, like many others, is going to die. He is, obviously, a little upset about this, and afraid, but decides that he will put his best paw forward, so that if he dies young, he will at least die without regretting his life. This mentality will stick with him as he grows, though once he reaches mid adol he’ll stop catching colds, having caught most of them, and seem to have been ‘cured’ of his illness. His belief in living without regretting leads him to do some pretty foolish things, and he can be brutally honest about what he thinks and how he feels at times. He throws himself at life without fear, because he knows that everyone dies, and those who are sick die sooner than others. So why cry in the corner all his life? He’d rather do something exciting, rather have an adventure, rather do something more meaningful. His mother’s diligence and hard work will rub off on him, and he will develop a determined desire to do her proud.
What Do You See His Relationship Like With his Mother & Siblings?: He will love them fiercely, perhaps too much so if any male tries courting one of his sisters, or if mom gets a new love interest. Also known as being jealous, though if his mother or sisters seem to be happy he’ll probably ease up. But if you make his sister cry, then he will make you cry. As far as he cares his brothers can look after themselves…unless they ask him for help in which case he will be their guardian too. If nothing else he can sneeze on whoever is bothering them. As for his father, he’ll be curious, mighty curious, but content with his mother and siblings. They’re all the family he needs, and they need him, and that’s all that matters.
Anything Else of Note?: I’d like him to grow into some kind of protector-position, like a guard or maybe eventually a warrior, though he could make a good hunter too. Not a spy, he’s not good at secrets. DEFINITELY not a secret keeper XD; That would just not be a good idea.

Cubs Name: Uchungu
Meaning: Bitter
Health Status: Will be diseased, showing symptoms as an adolescent JUST ABOUT to become an adult.
Personality: As a cub, Uchu is strong and healthy. He is bold, bright, and arrogant, confident that he is immune to the disease. When the plague finally hits him, he will be crushed, his dreams of being the hero of his pride shattered. Uchu will have to remake himself and his ruined self-image. He will be meek, miserable, and terribly bitter, at least until he finds a way to redeem himself for his physical failings ... if he ever does. I see this going one of two ways depending on RP - he may accept his condition (with the help of a lady, perhaps) and become a gentle and wise fellow, or he may be further traumatized, sink into despair and become a truly bitter, hateful lion who thrives off his own rage and unhappiness.
What Do You See His Relationship Like With his Mother & Siblings?: Until he is a young adolescent, Uchu will view himself as their protector. He will devote himself to looking after his other siblings, and strive to act wise and strong beyond his years, not like another foolish cub! After he discovers the truth, that he is not immune, he will withdraw from them, becoming resentful and unhappy, especially if one of his siblings happens to be immune. He may hold anger towards his mother, for taking him to this terrible place to die.
Anything Else of Note?:

Cubs Name: Ukimbizi
Meaning: "seeker"
Health Status: Ukimbizi will be immune. I realize this is a rare position for him to be in, but it will fit in beautifully with his personality and will lead into his position as an adult.
Personality: Ukimbizi is a jester. He loves to make others laugh even at the expense of his own dignity. Athletic and active, he's often found performing for groups of cubs and adults alike, entertaining them with tricks he's come up with. Sometimes his jokes really aren't that good but Ukimbizi means well. Really, though, it's all a ploy. Ukimbizi's heart shatters every day when he hears the wracking coughs and wheezing breaths that echo throughout the pride's land, and it merely makes him more and more determined to bring light and laughter to those he loves and cherishes above all others -- his family.
What Do You See His Relationship Like With his Mother & Siblings?: He will never understand why his mother chose this pride to call home, but out of his love and respect for his mother he will never blatantly question her decision. Ukimbizi is very loving of his family, especially of his sisters, and would willingly give his life to ease their suffering if only he could.
Anything Else of Note?: If/When he is asked by his Queen to assist in populating the pride, he will gracefully accept her request, but that will not be the real reason he accepts. In his heart of hearts he believes that somewhere out there he will find a cure to this terrible disease. Someone out there knows the answer to his questions, and Ukimbizi believes he only needs to seek them out and explain the plight of his pride so that he can return to his pride with methods that will ease the suffering of those he loves.
