All so beautiful. *o* I'd like this character sponsored please! Name Of Character: Sahu'aaj (The hidden one + fire glow [from Egyptian guide]) - Female Description: CC with these colors, but mostly golden/sand colored. Please use some markings too. Brief Personality Summary: Sahu is a shy lioness, and prefers to stay out of conflict with others. She is very kind and forgiving, and will go out of her way to help others as long as she isn't seen or acknowledged. She is timid and withdrawn, but in the future, she will experience something that will pull her out of her bubble of safety and fight for what she believes is right and is passionate about. (IC: I have some good plot ideas for her.) Brief History Summary: Sahu was born in the rogue lands, and was raised by her rough, unkind father. Whenever she asked about her mother, her father explained that she returned to her pride with the rest of their cubs. When her father left her, she went in search of her siblings and mother, but never came across them. After stumbling upon the beautiful temple, she was compelled to stay with the Tuait'tekem by a certain pull, as though she belonged there all along. Now she wants to know whether her mother was ever a part of the Tuait'tekem, and whether being in the pride is going to trigger a part of her personality she's never known.

Shop rules say you can't custom onto adult pride lines. The only way to custom onto pride lines is to custom a cub into a pride litter. 3nodding

I want to try for The Princess! Name For Lioness: Keftey'Keku enemy of darkness Brief Personality Summary: Keku has secrets and tends to be a hard one to get honest feelings out of. She loved her parents and seeing them die was something she has since pushed to the back of her mind. She would rather the past stay in the past. Since then she has also been slightly afraid of caring anyone, the plague had damaged her young mind and the loss of her pride. She has matured a lot while being away, she has always tried to live up to her name knowing she had it for a reason. Her parents had wished her to be a light and so she tries to be. The irony in being she is hardly an enemy of the darkness she surrounds herself with.
To anyone she meets she seems like a lovely female, incredibly caring and always listens to your problems. She seems to be the leader she was born to be and is to be adored. She tends to speak softly very rarely showing agression. Her Reaction To The Situation: The situation will confuse her. Part of her will be happy to see that the pride is up and running again but it will also open up the past to her. Arriving home which was something she had tried to avoid would suddenly be more real then she would have imagined. The pride being full of life with cubs and everything will fill her with joy but she knows the pride is doomed. She will find it hard to accept that the pride can survive and if the pride proves her wrong she will probably wish the plague on them. She misses her parents still and part of her will always be that young girl who lost her mummy and daddy. She will have no problem with Muroki being king, her first words to him would probably be something along the lines of not wanting to be in his position. She will be more then happy to just exist there and wait for the doom she will always expect to fall upon the pride.

I'd like this character sponsored please! Name Of Character: Djal [Staff, Branch, Twig -Found here-] Description: [X] Brief Personality Summary: Although rough on the surface with a snappy attitude, Djal has a soft spot for the opposite gender and through his tough exterior will do what he can to protect this 'weaker' gender. However, he won't reveal this softer side easily, and is more often seen as a bully without intending to. Brief History Summary: Descended from a lion who had a cousin wed into nobility, Djal has no royal blood in his veins but was strictly taught by his family with the hopes he would defend the royal blood that remained. As such, he came to be a lion who kept his eye on the Princess as he grew, always defending her and never letting her find out about it. Upon returning to the Tuait'tekem, he will take it upon himself to stick close to her as well as the existing royalty, having been taught nothing outside of this and unsure of his footing when it comes to anything else.

Entering for another later. Wanted Zehoret in for a while so she takes my interest-priority. 8D <3 I have this character and they'd like to join the group! Name Of Character: Zehoret Image: Bam! Brief Personality Summary: Zehoret is probably the softest, shiest lioness you could want to meet. She's gentle and kind, despite growing up originally to hunt, she found herself to have no talent for the act, nor does she particularly do well fighting. As such she's glad to serve to ease the pains and sorrows of others-- tending to their needs and helping as she can. Zehoret is also frequently ill. She's been frail since birth, though this doesn't dampen her joy in life. Brief History Summary: What have they been up to in life? Zehoret grew up rather far away in another pride with her nanny, Rajua. In the En Gedi she was expected to learn to hunt, but her frailty since birth discouraged it, and finally one day she succombed to a strong disease trying. Rather than admit weakness to her pride, Zehoret fled with her Nanny and hner daughter, Aveil, into the roguelands to save face and falsify her own death. She's since wandered with them after recovery, though she seeks a home of her own now, with her friends' blessings to find happiness.

Ooo, this is of interest to me smile I want to try for the MALE Storyteller! Name For Lion: Saho (a prophet of thebes, apparently) Brief Personality Summary: Saho's an odd chap; very quiet and reserved and seems to have a difficult time communicating with others. He's socially awkward and gets nervous around other lions (especially females, or anyone who outranks him), spending a lot of time by himself. Except whenever he tells a story. Then it's like a complete change comes over him, almost as though he's possessed -- he gets totally absorbed into the story and seems oblivious to the world around him.
Saho spends a lot of time eavesdropping, although he doesn't mean to. He's just so interested in other people's lives that he can't help but listen in on conversations. He also loves listening to stories and has a nearly perfect memory for them, being able to recall and retell stories that he's only heard once.
Example Story: The lion stood uneasily in the center of the crowd that had gathered, feeling very uncomfortable with so many eyes on him. He took a deep, steadying breath and closed his eyes, clearing his throat. After a moment's hesitation, he opened his maw and began in a strange, distant sort of voice.
"Long ago, before the plague, before living memory, a terrible famine befell these lands. The rains would not come, no matter how many prayers were given to the sky, and the great river was little more than a muddy stream. The preybeasts left this land and lions felt hunger pang deep in their belly. Many tried to leave, but soon found themselves lost in the desert, too hungry and weak to go on. Many cubs died. It was a sad time, and there was much despair.
At the time, the gods were more prevalent than they are today, and they often walked amongst the lions. They lived then mountains, where the river was born.
The pharaoh at that time was a strong lion named Mater. He looked upon his people and saw their suffering, and he thought to himself, "Why do my people suffer so? Are the gods not just?" After much contemplation, he decided to go to the heart of the river himself, among the mountains, to supplicate the gods.
It was a long, hot journey and the pharaoh was weak with hunger. His limbs trembled, but he made his way up to Mount Bahku anyway, determined to find a solution for his people, no matter the cost.
When he finally arrived, he was numb all over his body and he collapsed into the dust, throwing himself prostrate at the god's feet. "Tefnut, goddess of rain!" He cried. "Khnemu, god of the floods. I come to you in supplication. Please. My people are suffering at your feet. Each day we pray to you for water, so our prey might return. Why have you forsaken us?"
"Forsaken you?" Tefnut said, looking surprised. "We have done no such thing. We have only been waiting for you."
Mater looked between them, bewildered, and then averted his eyes, for he knew it was blasphemous to look them in the eye.
"Your people have grown to look upon you as a god," Khnemu continued. "But you are mortal, and do not deserve their praise."
"I'm sorry!" Mater said, desperately. He lay crouched within the sand, his body shaking slightly with weakness and hunger. He wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to stand again. "I see the error in my ways! I never sought to be worshipped above you, o great ones. But please, allow my people to live, and do what you will with me."
"You misunderstand our intent," Khnemu said, and stepped away, revealing the spring behind him -- the source of the great river. It was blocked with a large boulder, twice the size of a grown lion, and it stopped up the waters with its bulk. "If you are to be revered as a god among mortals, then you must prove yourself worthy. If you can move this stone, then the waters will be free to flow to the river, and the plants shall rise once more. If you cannot do this, then go back to your pride and find a strong, able lion. He shall be your new pharaoh."
Mater could hardly believe the challenge that was laid out for him. Why should he be punished this way? It didn't seem fair, yet he was determined to help. With effort, he rose to his paws and threw his weight against the stone. It did not budge. He pushed and pushed, and still it would not move, and he despaired.
But he would not give up on his people so easily, and so instead he made his way down the difficult path back home, and told the scribes to spread word amongst the pride and to find a lion capable of the task.
After much searching, a lion was found. He was a large, muscular beast named Rahab. Rahab was from foreign lands, and most other lions distrusted him, but he was the strongest and their need was great. He was brought to Mater, and the pharaoh explained to him the task he must accomplish. Together they rested and dined on what little meat they had to build their strength for the task at hand.
The next morning, Mater brought Rahab to the peak of the mountain, where the spring was stopped up by the boulder. Rahab threw his great weight against the stone, and slowly it began to move. After much work, he managed to push it out of the way, and the water gushed from the spring, flowing down to replenish the river.
"Fine work," the Tefnut said, approvingly. "Rahab, strong son of the Dawnwalkers, you have proven yourself very powerful. And you, Mater. You chose to sacrifice your throne to a stranger, for the good of your people and to obey the will of the gods. Because you have shown yourself a worthy leader, you may retain your title as pharaoh."
The lions bowed and kissed the feet of the gods, and when they returned to their temple there was much rejoicing.
Mater remained pharaoh for a long time after that, ruling with a wise and steady paw. And Rahab served as his advisor all his life, and no one ever distrusted him again."
Saho finished and opened his eyes, smiling a little uncertainly to the others. He had a slightly ruffled look about him, as though the story had taken him somewhat by surprise. "That's all," he finished, a bit lamely, and then turned to leave without another word.
Sorry for the length. sweatdrop Very loosely inspired by The Seven Year's Famine story. I love storyteller characters because they give me an excuse to come up with somewhat ridiculous fake myths.

I'd like this character sponsored please! Name Of Character: Nesertib (Heart of Fire) Description: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d56/langrassier/SoA/egypt.png (I wanted to point out that I’d like the black eye marking that kinda resembles the eye of Osiris to only be on one eye, her right.) Brief Personality Summary: Nesertib is a feisty girl, like her name implies. She’s lighthearted and flirty most of the time, and seems like she never takes anything seriously. The only things Nesertib ever puts all her effort into are hunting and fighting. Anything that keeps her physically busy is something she enjoys, but she‘s both good at these and loves to do them. Nesertib lives life to the fullest - she works hard and she plays hard. But she’s never been the type to get angry easily, hung up on specific things or be downhearted about something for long. To her, life is about enjoying yourself, and nothing is worth ruining the fun of it. Brief History Summary: What have they been up to in life? Nesertib was born into the pride, her parents following the wandering band sent away by Aset-nusu. Nesertib has lost her parents in that journey and her siblings - but she, unlike many of the young adults her age, stayed with the group and endured until finally they returned home. Nesertib has never seen her homeland before, but she considered it the wish of her family that she return here, and so she did. Since then she’s been trying to carve out a niche for herself here, amidst many strangers. She’s been made a Huntress, but she wants badly to become a Guardian.

We want to try for Relations! Name For Lion: Totoun Owner For Lion: Mtorolite Brief Personality Summary: Totoun's been sad as long as anyone remembered - he lost his parents and brother in the plague, and his sister soon after. Despite his sadness, he has been a rock for his group, reminding them of the ways of the pride and ever encouraging them to seek their roots. Totoun is slow to anger, but once someone has earned his ire it is hard for him to forgive them. He has also been slow to laugh since his sister died. Now that he has returned to the pride lands and found them thriving, a weight has been lifted off his heart, and he is smiling again. He is finally home. Totoun is anxious to take up the rank of scribe, although he must relearn much. His father was a scribe, and he was just beginning his training when they had to leave the temple. He intends to stay close to his neice, but also wants to encourage her to put down roots and have a family beyond him.
Name For Lioness: Asenath, Egyptian, Daughter Owner For Lioness: ShinyObsessed Brief Personality Summary: Asenath is an athletic and energetic lion who loves to run and play games. However, off the game field she's a little skittish around lions (and hyenas) she didn't grow up with. She's used to being one of the only cubs in the group and is reluctant to give up her youth. She was raised with a lot of love from her father (read: uncle), Totoun, who she's always worked to make smile. The few smiles she's earned from him are treasured. Due to being suckled by a hyena she's got a few oddities. For one, she thinks that hyenas are another type of lion and she'd be happy to cling to Totoun forever and never grow up. Asenath is almost afraid of being considered an adult and all the choices before her, especially now that they've returned to the pride. She looks to Totoun and the lions she grew up with for security. She's one of those lions that will do whatever she's told until she realizes that she's unhappy, and even then, will wait till she's totally miserable until she does something about it. Pleasing others is a large part of her personality and she's a little bit of a doormat.
Family Matters: Totoun's sister was brokenhearted about her fiance dying in the plague, and went and ran off with a rogue lion soon after. He stuck with the group, but some months later she caught up - pregnant, abused, and serverely malnourished. Out of the four cubs she bore a day after rejoining them, only two were born alive. Despite their best efforts, she followed. The remaining male cub lasted three more days. On the fifth day, Totoun found a female hyena who had only one pup, and milk enough for more. Thus his niece survived. He treats her as a daughter, and he is the only father she has ever known. As close as they are, he is pleased to be coming home.
