Name/Meaning for Pup: Azubuike - have much strength
Personality: Knowing his father's hate for females will make Azubuike actually curious about them, and tip-toe more around the presence of females. He'll be rather gentle, even shy, and introspective.

As he gets older, Azubuike will gain a bit more confidence and be picky and snobby when he deals with others. Because of his silence and general calmness during childhood, he would have spent a lot of time by himself and prefer it that way out of some narcissistic value. He won't like others very much, but will treat it with a cold uncertainty rather than outright rude behavior. He will still retain his curiosity and caution towards females, especially because would have acknowledged the fact that his mother left him and his brother (and possible sister) with their father.

Azubuike will become a scout because he will always have a hope that he will run across his mother or relatives of his mother on the pack's borders or on his travels outside of the perimeter. Despite his less than hopeful feelings towards females, he still has an inherent desire to learn more about his own roots and the roots of his father's beliefs.

Response: Lejl'Eku's ears flattened as his mother licked his fur. Her patience was probley wearing thin with Leji's behaviour. The small pup had lept into a mud puddle outside the den. For a new coat of rain had fallen on the ground, leaving splotches of mud behind. Lejl had a bit of an over creative mind and use these mud puddles to prove it.

After all rain didn't come in big amounts, mud usually dried fast under the hot sun. Today was one of those rare days when Lejl could use his creative thinking to play in the puddles with other pup's.

He wasn't sure why his mother had picked him to go back with her. She certainly didn't show that she cared much about him. Whatever the case was, Lejl was determind to prove to his mother he could do well.

After his mother finished licking him clean, Lejl walked outside of the den into the sun. After his sight adjusted to the brightness, Lejl scaned the ground in a hunt to find something to play with.

His attention was drawn towards his sister, she was at a distance away from the den. Lejl's eyes lit up at the thought of playing with his sister. The little grey coloured pup ran over to her. It didn't matter if she said yes or no to playing, Lejl would find something else to do anyways...

Personality: Quiet but with an acidic tongue that makes anyone feel threatened. He is loyal to the pack and does not like whispers or talk or complaints about it. He is loyal to his father, and takes after his personality of not trusting females. However, he does know that they are needed for some reason, but would rather not interact with them if he has to. Later in life, he might sire pups, however it would be only to give the pack more members. He would not outright hate or hurt any female, but having them as a "friend" is totally out of the question.

Response: La’erevu, or usually known just as La, has a name that fits him even if he doesn’t really like it. He’s happy-go-lucky, optimistic and energetic. Unfortunately for him, brains aren’t included in the package. He doesn’t let things like his unfortunate name or what the pack thinks of him get him down, however. He’s just happy to be included, and even if mother is usually annoyed with him, at least that’s still attention!

La believes that his mother picked him because she cares about him. Even if his mother flat-out told him that wasn’t the truth, he wouldn’t believe it, not that he thinks about it much. In fact, when his mother took him from his father and remaining siblings, he simply toddled along after her, happy to be included, and never said a word about it. Though he misses the remainder of his family, he’s been told he can’t go off to see them again, and he will never disobey. But he does think of them often.

La never thinks twice about the way his mother treats him. After all, all of the females of the pack do the same to their male young, so he doesn’t feel he’s any different from them. Okay, maybe she’s a little harsher… but that’s just mummy! She’s grumpy sometimes. And he just adores his sister, period. She’s perfectperfectperfect, and if she so much as sniffs in his direction he’s delighted. The smallest amount of attention from anyone for that matter makes him squirm with happiness, but his family especially so. He will be a very willing if somewhat useless servant to the females of his pack when he grows up. His intentions are good but he’s a bit absent minded and overeager, so when he’s given a task he sometimes forgets important parts of it, or louses them up completely. And forget about the ladies when he's grown up. If a female hyena even so much as winks at him, he turns into that vulture from looney tunes and will more often than not try to run and hide. It will take a very determined ladyena, or a direct command to stay put, to finally get him to mingle with the opposite sex. The one thing he’s really good at is ingratiating himself to others. He’s a very happy camper even in the most difficult situations, and he’s great for a laugh, even if it’s sometimes at his expense.

Meaning: “To be perfect” in Swahili

Response: Timu was raised to believe that everything she did was utterly wonderful and that she had no faults whatsoever. So one can hardly blame her for having a bit of an inflated ego, right? Timu follows in her mother's footsteps, believing that males are cowardly, unworthy beings and choosing to have nothing to do with them if possible. She remembers her father and brothers, but she could care less about them now that they're gone. As a pup, Timu listened to and respected her mother, loving the attention she got from her and never wasting an opportunity to lord it over her lowly brother. She never had a delusion that she was anything more than a hyena, but there were days that she felt like a goddess.

As she grows, Timu will feel increasingly bitter that because she was born of commoners, she will never be able to have a royal rank or a leadership role. Because naturally, years of being spoiled will leave her feeling entitled to more than the job “any old female” could take in the Clan. To make matters worse, she will never hesitate to find fault with the royals behind their backs, sneering at every flaw, real or only in Timu's head, she can find. Timu works hard constantly to show off her greatness, but she's also an endless source of complaint. Others around her of the same or lower rank will find themselves constantly looked down upon, as Timu feels that whatever it is that they're doing, she should be doing it because she could do it better. In truth, she does an adequate job at most things because she tries so hard, but the only thing she really excels at is being a Seeker. She loves the thrill of the hunt, and makes it a point of pride when taking back a new captive lion or male for her sisters. She treats all slaves and males badly, but the ones she brought in herself have it particularly bad. She'll constantly seek them out to torment them, whereas others might only get harassed if they happen to cross her path.

Timu has no respect for males, like her mother taught her, and will find the idea that she must one day reproduce with one revolting. She couldn't care less what they think of her, which is good because most of the clan's males will despise her for being such a tyrant. If she ever finds a female hyena who she can’t find many faults in, she'd be much more likely to have a romantic relationship with her than one of those horrible, dirty males. She may have pups one day if she wants them badly enough, but the unlucky male involved might walk away from the encounter with a few fresh wounds.

Personality: Damu is what you could call a bit of a sexist. Like his dad he see's females as a lower rank and thinks they will never be at the same level as females. With his thought of males being superior to females he also looks at any other species as being inferior to him. He is often caught lashing out to those unexpecting, he really has no patience or mercy for anyone even family. You could even go as far as to calling Damu a cold blooded narcissist. He is so confident and cocky he is almost in love with himself. He also thinks he deserves the best since he is the best, thus his greed for collecting, stealing, and taking items he wants freely.

'She must have seen something in me' he thought silently even as his other side told him he was still useless. He knew his aggressive mother thought nothing of him but he refused to believe it, no matter how much the thought nagged at his fur. He looked around his new home, here the females were all superior and all males inferior but it was there way. Kubwa was a optimist, but even he sometimes stumbled on why he deserved to live. However he always found a way to look at the positive and see the brighter side.

He would just have to keep up and try not to compare himself to much to his sister who was treated like a goddess by his mom. Besides Kubwa had a great idea to impress his mom. It was said that the smart, cunning, strong, or brave males of the pack were sometimes given the chance for a royal breedings.

He was determined to prove he was the best suited male and maybe impress the royal family. Maybe if chosen he could even make his mom proud of him for once or at least to give him some type of attention.

She could have chosen his brother but she didn't, and he was convinced that somewhere in her violent unappreciative eyes she saw that he could bring some sort of pride to her. even if he was a inferior male in this high class female pack, he would prove his worth. Just watch him make his big splash.
