Name: Ausavi -- Pirate name: Swiftfell Meaning: Made them up smile Personality: Ausavi is quiet and sarcastic, rough and tumble; if things get down and dirty, she's ready to cause a riot. She was born unable to feel pain, and naturally she'll fight until she's shredded and someone stops her. She's nearly died from bloodloss before. She also can't stand to be bested...so she'll be aiming for a spot as a Captain, someday. I'd like for her to get into a huge fight and recieve scars and perhaps a few items in the future smile
Prompt Response: Note: Hekazumi is the pink/black male and Reve is the cheetah girl for this prompt.
Her paws flitted lightly across the parched ground, her red eyes gleaming in the light of the moon. She watched him, Hekazumi--the broad-shouldered lion dragging along his slave through the plains. She didn't exactly...agree with what Hekazumi was doing. Running from his past, the patchy-pelted cheetah girl being drug along beyond her will and his best friend--yep, that was her, Ausavi--at his side. But a life was a life, and if they were going to get by via pillaging, scavenging and alltogether theft? They were going to find the pride rumored to do this for a living.
Maestros Del Mar. The name was foreign on Savi's tongue. A pride of rough-and-tumble, treasure-stealing, drunken pirates. Pirates. A shiver traced down Ausavi's spine. Hekazumi lifted his big head, scenting the air along with her. Savi's tail flicked, back and forth, one-two. "Think they'll let ya keep her?" Ausavi slid a sidelong glance at the patchy-pelted cheetah girl, skin and bones with stars in her eyes. Hope for escape, perhaps. Not on Savi's watch.
Hekazumi smirked, that brilliant, charm-birds-from-their-nest smirk. "Oh, Savi, you worry too much. Of course! Pirates allow slaves in their ranks--who else washes the poop deck?" He snickered under his breath. His slave, bound by twisted rope and hanging chain, flattened her round ears and hissed at him. "Screw you. They won't allow it! They'll see what kind of girl I am; they won't let you get away with this!" Her eyes were acidic, but almost pleaded with Savi as she watched her. Savi merely flicked an ear and tugged on the chain-rope. "I can't believe you're letting him do this! Don't you know who I am?"
Savi shrugged slender shoulders, kept on walking. "Princess Reve of Prystori. Blah, blah, blah. I get it, a'right? You're a proud woman with many suitors and ya don't deserve to be treated like this. Again, blah, blah. Sometimes life throws ya curve balls. Sometimes ya just have to deal. It's outta my hands, princess." She threw Hekazumi a glance. "I'm goin' up ahead to scout. You get to deal with her bitchin'."
Hekazumi had been her best friend since cubhood, though he was a few moons younger than she. She was in her prime: long, lean and supple with a sleek coat of brown and pink. She knew she was attractive, desirable, even. They slept together once, Savi and Zumi...and it just...complicated everything. Savi shook her head. No. Never again. She would have a man loyal to her, not running around thieving princesses. She gave a soft snort. Hekazumi was running from his father, running from his life...and she'd just decided that tagging along to the Maestros might be a fine plan indeed.
Lifting her head, she scented the air. Lions...and plenty of them. The buzz of intoxication lingered on the air, along with laughter and jovial chants among friends. Her hackles prickled slightly--she passed it off as anticipation--and she threw her head back in a roar, announcing their arrival. As lions came nearer--well-fed and scarred and wearing trinkets and charms--Ausavi stood tall. Unafraid, because truly, that's what she was. She knew her own aspirations well. She knew she wasn't going to be some goddamn corsair, not some girl who ******** the boys and kept them sated. No. She was going to be a captain. Captain Swiftfell.
A smile curved across her lips and her red eyes lingered on the obvious Commodore of the pride.
