Lions name: Machweo (sundown)
Personality Softspoken and gentle, Machweo is just a little... off. She prefers the sanctity of her own thoughts and the world of her imagination, and will often retreat into it in order to escape the chaos that is reality. She cares very deeply for those she meets, but because she is so quiet, she comes across as indifferent. She can often be found watching the sunset and the sunrise, and actively seeks out beauty in both her mind and the world around her. A pretty pebble or and peculiarly-patterned feather can hold her attention far better than a game or a conversation. If she could, she would communicate through colors alone, for to her they hold everything good.
Prompt Response: Machweo had always been the 'odd one'; the 'quiet one', and to some (namely her long-separated siblings), the 'absolutely insane' one. She had never known anyone who she felt truly comfortable around, and left her mother and siblings when she was just barely an adolescent, bound and determined to find all of the colors in the world.
It was an ambitious goal, and an impractical one, but Machweo was confident in her ability to accomplish it, and naive enough to believe that the world was a safe place. Unfortunately, having spent her cubhood daydreaming and painting portraits in her mind, she was less than prepared to survive on her own, and had a hard time finding enough food to get by.
After over two weeks of being unable to kill anything other than the occasional hare, she ran into another lioness - the blue female who would later become her sister in all but blood. The other lioness was older and had more survival skills than Machweo. The two teamed up and brought down Machweo's first decent meal since she had begun her quest. While they ate, they bonded and they mutually decided to travel together - Machweo didn't have a specific destination in mind, and her companion had her own goals and ideals.
This arrangement worked for a great deal of time, and Machweo found many colors, which she committed to memory and used in her mental paintings. But as they traveled, she grew more aware that she could never possibly remember every single color, and that she kind of missed her family. Finding them again would be impossible, and she wouldn't trade her new sister for them - especially when they regarded her as touched in the head, at best. A new family, however, sounded wonderful.
She didn't actively seek them out, but eventually she and her sister found the group that they would stay with - Machweo liked them not because of their personalities, but because of their differing colors, and by being a part of this group she could live surrounded by many different colors at all times. It was, in a way, her own miniature paradise. Her only goal now is to make others see and appreciate the beautiful colors around them... How she'll do that when she doesn't like talking, she doesn't know - but she's quite sure that she'll find a way.

Lions name: Akiko (Autumn)
Personality Akiko acts more like a cub than an adult. This is because her mind is forever locked into that age. She’s carefree as a cub, and loves to play. Often she forgets that she’s bigger and stronger than other cubs. In her cubby mind, she often dreams of finding the perfect male for her. Akiko loves to sleep. When she sleeps, she dreams. Her dreams are always exciting and she loves to share them when she wakes up.
Prompt Response:
Akiko had gotten lost. She had thought she’d left her mother right here. Feeling slightly guilty for running off to play, Akiko sat down to wait. Little did the lioness realize that she and her mother had long since separated. Waiting soon became boring and she started to squirm. She was getting hungry and sleepy. To pass the time she started to count the ants passing at her feet. It was some time before she realized that she might miss her mother; Akiko looked up to scan the horizon.
Her mother!! The lioness bounced eagerly to her feet and ran toward the blue lioness she’d spotted. She didn’t stop to consider they looked nothing alike. There was her mother come for her at last! Akiko giggled as she skidded to a stop in front of the surprised lioness. “I found you mommy! You took so long. Sorry I ran off, but there was this great game to play. I’m hungry and can we go to sleep soon?”
The rush of questions finished in a breathless gasp. Her eyes were wide and her tail twitched with excitement. When the blue lioness turned to walk away Akiko proudly trotted after her.

Akiko peeked out from around her adopted mother, who she thought was her real mother. Mommy was talking to some strange lions. There was females and a really big male. She ducked her head when he looked at her; he made her shy. Her ears perked when she heard mommy speaking about joining them. Them? Why? She peeked out a little further. That could be a great idea! So many new playmates and possible games.
She wondered if they would listen to her dreams too. That would make her very happy. The lioness gave a smile to the little group in front of her. Akiko felt everything would be fine.

GOLDEN FEMALE PLZ!Username: Zero and Below Lions name: Alfajiri'jua ( Dawning Sun) Personality Alfa as many call is what you could call a collector, a treasurer, and a seeker. She will go out of her and others ways to find anything that interests her. She is a cunning, strong, and determined tracker who tracked valuables and treasures. She has such an obsession with treasure and valuables that often it would come to a stalking passion. She enjoyed seeking so much that she would anyone who got in her way or to her treasure before she did. However much of an obsession her tracking has become she has no real intention on actually hurting someone or something. If she truly admires or adores you she may even share some of her treasures. Prompt Response: Prompt Why did you join the group? What are your thoughts of now joining a pride? Her orange eyes stared at him through the trees, she was infatuated with his colors and markings. The way his dark grey mane and purple pelt shone under the sun complemented by his silver eyes. It was this male she has been so fixated on meeting. That is why she was with him till this day, traveling by his side along with the other females. There was something about him she could not get enough of, perhaps it was the faint silver in his eyes that drew her golden pelt to him. To her he was her ultimate treasure, and even the other females were her complimenting gems. It wasn't common for Alfa to look at living things as her treasures but they were to her. She loved them each very much, she had joined their group for their safety and the males love. Whether he truly loved her as much as she did did not matter to her, she would treasure him till the day one of them died. She did not care much that he had attention with all the females for Alfa adored them all and thought of him as her shared treasure with them. Besides she was a far way from home in the deserts. She recognized the pale lioness with red eyes but had never really gotten to know her till now. To Alfa she was her diamond, the male her amethyst, the pink and blue girls were her tourmaline and sapphire, and the green female her emerald. Alfa thought of herself as the best of all she was the gold in the group. She felt this little group was a walking treasure of the gods them self, each different and unique in their own way. Any with each one she felt a certain love for each of their characteristics. As the male brought them to the new pride she was at first unsure of what to think of them. She finally decided this was where she belonged where females had the choice of mates while still being strong independents for their pride. The only part she did not like was the fact males had to fight to stay, however she was not worried for her amethyst. She was certain he would be strong enough win the fights and ask for her as a mate. However this was only Alfa's thoughts and dreams, she always acted as though they were right. Even as a cub she had been spoiled and groomed and always received what she wanted, it created the sort of fantasy in her life that she had and got everything she wanted or wants. Would that change in this pride?

Personality: Kakra was raised to be very prim and proper as her parents dictated, but deep down inside she is joyous and playful. She does love her parents, but thinks their way of life is too constricting. Being her own lioness means a great deal to her. She loves to watch cubs playing and dreams of someday having her own to play with. Secretly she thinks of the male who rescued her as her one true love, though she doesn’t tell him for fear of scaring him away.
Prompt Response:
A princess shouldn’t be bored, her nanny nagged her for the thousandth time. She should be silent and graceful. Elegant and pristine, but never bored. Her parents were the rulers of a rather small pride in the desert, but they still thought of themselves as King and Queen. That in turn made her a princess; being the only child to the royal pair also made her the only princess. Kakra’s parents had strict ideas on how a princess should behave. Something the lioness had found very hard to abide as a youngling when all she wanted was to be out romping with the other cubs.
Many times in her young life, she had slipped off to go play; often found by her nanny a short while later and returned home. Once Kakra reached adulthood, things didn’t become any easier. Her new hurdle made her want to scream. Marriage. Kakra absolutely hated every male in the pride. Being so small a pride left her with very little choice. Just as she started to despair a stranger came out of the sand dunes. Seeing the strong male gave her a brilliant idea; a tournament. The strongest lion would win the right to marry her. Kakra believed the purple male would win easily, and not only that but he had no intention of staying there. All she had to do was convince him to fight then be whisked away into the unknown.
That night the lioness slipped down to where the strange male was sleeping. “I have a favor and proposition to ask of you. My parents wish me to wed, but none of the males within the pride are good enough. Tomorrow my father will announce a tourney for my paw. I wish you to fight and win; once you have succeeded then I will travel with you wherever you may go.” The deal was struck and Kakra returned to her bed.

It seemed like so much time had passed since that day he had whisked her away from the only home she’d ever known. Kakra reveled in the freedom to do whatever she wanted. She didn’t even mind when his collection of females got bigger and bigger. It gave her more lions to talk to and spend time with.
She knew he was getting desperate to protect them, and she knew firsthand the dangers of having too small a group. When he told them he was thinking of joining a pride, she was happy. Then he told them of the possible danger. He would have to fight to keep them, and there was the very real chance he would someday loose them. Kakra realized just how much the lion had come to mean to her. She had been his since the day he won her from her family and pride. The thought of losing him conflicted greatly within her. Did they risk staying in the pride, hoping he would win each time, or take their chances alone with maybe even greater danger.
She bowed her head. “I think the choice should be yours. The greatest danger is to you.” Kakra wouldn’t say how much she feared for him. The one consolation she had was that she knew he could fight well.

Bieito is a gentle male. He lovingly dotes on the females who have joined him. Caring for others comes naturally to him. Sweet and gentle toward his girls, Bieito is fiercely protective of them. He would do anything to protect and defend them. He was surprised when he started collecting them, but joyfully went along with it. More often he is worried about their safety over his.
Prompt Response:
Good or not, he didn’t want to lose his girls. He had wandered off alone to sort thought his thoughts and feelings. As the sun set, his thoughts seemed to circle around. Seeing himself as their protector left him with a great responsibility. Bieito was determined to right. He needed to protect them, and he knew that alone he couldn’t do it. Nearby was a fairly good pride. The only problem that he could see was possibly losing them. Having to fight was nothing new to the male. The certainty of losing his females if he lost was.
Knowing the best course of action wasn’t always the easiest. He had been through tough times before. Bieito grinned. This was then just another challenge to see through then. No matter what it took, he would always be there for his females. With no limit on how many times he could fight, Bieito knew that he would try over and over again. This was absolutely worth doing to ensure his females were safe. With his mind made up, the purple lion rose and headed back toward the group. Now to talk his decision over with them, and see how they felt about the whole thing.

Personality Just as her name portrays. Teshi is always smiling and looking on the bright side of any situation. She's always trying to brighten any saddened being's day, often thinking so much more of other happiness than her own.
Prompt Response: Isn't that what being a Lioness is all about? The joy of knowing you are part of a Pride? Something grand? If anything, I would envision a Pride to be loving and homey. I mean, sure the Lionesses are the ones who usually do a lot of the work, but surely there's more to a pride than just simple day to day working hardships. I would love to be a part of something... New, Unique... Where everyone works together and loves one another for who they are and not for what they are.
To put it simply, this group seems to be full of plenty of bright colors and they all seem to be cheerful enough. What a better place to try and become part of a Pride than with them? And if they aren't all smiles and bubbly dreams of friendship and love... then... well, I'd just have to spread it around some, won't I?
