The Anarchist Cookbook is outdated. But it does hold some water to something things they suggest. But it is highly likely you will blow yourself up with the details in the instruction that it gives out. The Poor Man James Bond Book was actually successful in one crime back in the 1990s. This chick that had keen knowledge in how to make explosives and which I still believe has never been captured had books on Anarchy, anti-conformism and obviously the Poor Man James Bond book. They found her books as soon as she left the area. She was able to manage to murder her bf with a 9mm Pistol point blank to the back... I believe I can't remember but it was on AMW back in 1999-2006

Also, I'm pretty sure some of the recipes/designs given there are just downright dangerous on their own.
Some recipes that require gas are obsolete. The Government has sought to clear that problem out by making the gas burn faster and become less of a threat. Yes that is why gas prices went up from a nickel to nearly 5 dollars a gal. They want to say blame us but its actually the half truth. Yes oil is a limited resource but to refine it to become less of a danger to be used as a bomb they added a chemical that negates to create foreign fuels (Fertilizer, Styrofoam, etc). Little off topic sweatdrop
Some recipes such as poisons are also tamed to behave as well such as Pipe Tobacco. This Poison acts slowly but was effective until they found more ways to determine cause of death. The Nicotine in Pipe Tobacco was so deadly that in crystal form it can make the person go under cardiac arrest in under 15 minutes and autopsies would confirm it was a natural case of smoking. The causes of cancer is what they put in tobacco nothing else. Well that is a lie. Eventually the smoker would get cancer but with the chems inside will speed it up.
All and all the idea of a MRE packet was to heat up food. And soon we all will have to survive on it eventually hate to have it taken away from us from a few rotten apples that would spoil it for the rest of us. But for fun purposes. I just can't help making Thermite and letting it burn through a block of ice. whee |

That's ridiculous. Nobody dies of a nicotine overdose. You'd die of smoke inhalation first. It's just like dying of an overdose of THC, caffeine or vitamin C. Technically possible, but there's no way to do it accidentally.
I doubt they'll get taken away, because MREs are manufactured for the military. What we get is the leftovers on orders that don't end up where they should or become surplus for whatever reason. And they're not going to deprive the military of convenient supplies just because some civilians got their hands on military equipment and hurt themselves.
Also, I'm still not sure how thermite came into this. MRE heaters contain none of the ingredients... they come close with iron powder, but thermite requires iron oxide powder, and that's a damn big difference. They do, however, appear to make a reasonably effective battery if hooked up properly, though. |

Being a Chem Artist. I made something that is similar to it. It burns like it but the properties are tamed that it can't go completely through metal but leaves a nice dent in it. I just use it to for a survival method if the only thing I have left to burn is the packet and a Piece of Tree Bark. Or maybe it is just because I didn't use all the ingredients I have to re-evaluate my recipes to double check if its thermite or a firework display. When I say Chem Artist I mean by I make them as I go. If Component C is similar to Component C2 and C3 Then I just use which ever is cheaper.

As for Gas prices...We can spare a few cents off if they take out some of the useless properties to make Gasoline. But it will also mean people will be able to make Plastique Explosive but who said that would be easy. Even I have enough common sense not to play with something that can destroy a ballroom let alone the person making it. lol
They might not deprive their Men from MREs but they can deprive us. All because there are extra doesn't mean they would consider selling it to the public population. It is a privilege to have what the military gets. And it would put a damper in the manufacturing company if they can't sell it but at least it won't go into the wrong hands. But like many other fuels we all have to use it responsibly and respect it like any other device that we may have to use in the future.
Anyways...I am staring at twinkie that my secretary left on my desk....O_o And not its making me think what I can do with it besides eat...It creates a Blue Flame because of the sugar...But can it also be used for something else...ANYWAYS!
Back to MRE fun time.
I just ordered some for the summer in cause of Emergencies. And Some water bottles. Its officially Tornado season in Minnesota and I live in flat lands that a tornado can land without being interrupted by Tall Buildings. 12 meal pack. Would last a week. smile Enough time to get rescued. |
