Personality: She is quite the ditz and a bit airheaded, but very kind and well-meaning. This does not mean she is dumb; she may not understand something right away, but once she learns something it sticks with her.

Personality: Prone to bouts of anger, Pembe Nyumbu is a feisty cub. It's not that he means to get upset, or is trying to bother someone... things just get on his nerves! He hopes he will be able to better control his rage after he goes on his naming quest.

Baby Name: Tanim (plant - Tagalog)
Tentative new name: Ilog'umpaw (River overflows)
Personality: Tanim is a strange dichotomy. On the one hand, she can be a bully like the father she never knew - her first instinct is to be bossy, rude, and doesn't have time to waste on being pleasant to people (especially cubs and those less important than her). On the other hand, she is absolutely terrified of the spirits. Perhaps more so then the other pride members, Tanim believes the spirits are there and always watching her, so she makes sure she honors the spirits and does right by them, even while treating other cubs like poo. A manipulative lion could easily catch on and make sure that Tanim never forgets the spirits are there.
Her name quest will be one concerned with being bullied, as she has bullied, finding the worth of others, and balancing her superstition with living a life.

Baby Name: Kulibig (water bug)
Tentative new name: Hugasan L'upa (to wash the world)
Personality: Kulibig is always in the water, trying to get clean. He can't stand to have mud on his fur, and tries to wash it out several times a day. He's prissy and fussy and avoids playing with the other cubs wherever it's muddy . . . and living in the swamps, he has quite a job of keeping clean. He speaks very specifically, and is especially miserable in the rain when everything turns to mud. On days like that, there is just no talking to him - he'll just stay on a log above the mud and shiver miserably until things dry out.

Baby Name: Pitiki (muddy)
Tentative new name: Masyado'puso (great heart)
Personality: Named for her coat and not her habits, Pitiki is a sweet cub without a mean bone in her body. Unfortunately for her, that's about all she is. She doesn't have any playmates or close friends, not because people don't like her, but because no one likes her that much. Eventually, she'll grow convinced something is wrong with her - either the spirits have cursed her, or she's done something to offend them. She remains sweet, helpful, and pleasant through everything, and hides her lonliness as best she can.
Her pilgrimage will be concerned with finding a solution to her problem, hopefully something heroic.

Personality: Vivuli is very much her mother's daughter. Gentle and good-natured, she is calm and tends to listen before speaking. On the other hand, however, she is rather nosy and prides herself on knowing what her siblings are doing at any given moment. What she does with this knowledge depends on the situation

Personality: Matope is a bossy, pushy cub who thinks she knows better than her siblings in any and all situations. She likes to think of herself as smarter and wiser than her littermates, when she's really not. In fact, about some things she can be somewhat thickheaded. Her strength, however, lies in her ability to get her siblings to do what she wants. This will cause her a great deal of trouble as she isn't the best at decision making.
Her name quest, however, will bring about some changes in her personality. Not a great deal - she'll always be a bit bossy and self-centered, but she will eventually realize that some things affect everyone, no matter how important they (think they) are. This will lead to have a bit more consideration of others, though she will often have to check herself, lest her cubhood attitude rise to the forefront again.

Baby Name: Njozi (Phantom, Swahili – as he is almost a greyed version of great, great grandma)
Tentative new name: Fi'mzingile (In a maze, Swahili – gets lost in a woodsy or rocky area, finds way out with help of new friend)
Personality: Adventurous and excitable but with a horrible sense of direction, he could find a way to get lost on the way home from the waterhole but he'd never let it stop him from going.

Tentative new name: Umaumsebe ( Stingray - taken from Swahili an Zulu)
Personality: Clingy not that all adventurous doesn't like to leave home. He constant insist that he will never leave the pride ignore the fact he has to go one his name quest*.
When he returns I plan for him to be a bit of a gentle giant of sorts he going to be really laid back and relaxed an keep to himself at all times because of what happened to him while on his naming quest.
*Which could totally be left over for his momma to kick him out tell him to stop clinging and group up.

Personality: As a cub Tetema is petulant, and liable to whinge about any and all situations. He feels apt to pass judgement on everyone and feels rather superior about his whole lot in life. I want him to have some very serious revelations on his naming journey. To find a mentor and watch him die , and find out what it is to have a deep, true compassion.

Personality:
As a child, Fai will be a haughty, firecracker of a girl. She will play roughly with her siblings and other members of the pride. She will be competitive, and always try to get a superior edge on… well. Everyone. Fai will be the type to speak before she thinks and act on impulse, something that may get her in some trouble growing up. Regardless of how much trouble she gets in she won't seem to change her ways. She will be manipulative in that she'll use anyone or anything to get something that she wants; using her bigger, stronger siblings, feigning illness, you name it. Needless to say, she may make some enemies as a child.
After her naming quest, the returning Vuli will seem almost like a different person. During her naming quest, Vuli will get lost/be unable to find food/get injured/something along those lines. She will learn that the world does not revolve around her, and be humbled. She will see the shadow of a bird that looks like an owl, that will lead her to safety. Vuli will then return to the pride as a lioness who will try to provide assistance and guidance to those in need.
