I tried to resist, and couldn't . . . he's just too awesome. He's A Secret Agent Man~! Username: Mtorolite SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Malihim (Knowledge kept to oneself - Tagalog) Personality: Suave. Smooth. Charming. None of these really fit for Malihim. He's popular, but because he's a personable, slightly goofy lion's lion. His charisma is not that what you would expect of a spy - he's just a good ol' boy. And being a good ol' boy is what makes him a great spy. He's easily trusted, and he takes advantage of that trust to do his job, helpful, honest, smiling, and relatively carefree, especially when out on a mission. He just seems too nice to ever be suspected of anything sneaky. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: His mother was diseased and died when he was a juvenile; his father was a carrier. That he was immune was a strange twist of genetics. He's used to losing family, and enjoys being able to go see the world from time to time, but he's always just as happy to go home where what's left of his family waits for him. How does he feel about his dual life and secret rank of Spy? Malihim is enjoying himself thoroughly as a spy, enjoying the twists and turns of his job; if he ever gets a mate, this will probably change; who would want to keep secrets like that from a beloved? Until then, he thinks the whole thing is wonderful; it keeps life interesting and he gets to meet new people. Plus, even if others think he's simple and goofy, he's quite smart - too smart to mess up. Do you, as a writer, understand he MUST keep his title as spy as a top secret? Yes. Why did you as a writer choose to apply for Mr. Sexy Spy? He's sexy. Also, I like the idea of him having kind of a second life on the side, and having to write for both. Also, I don't have an immune lion in the K'A yet, and I'd like to see how that changes a lion, and, finally, I like metaplots. He's A Secret Agent Man~! Username: KasaiLoki SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Runetyne (Secret River) Personality: To the public, he is a dunce, clumsy fool. Everyone questions how exactly he could be a scout, when he can barely stand on his feet. But this is all a façade. To the king and queen, he is diligent, smart, and likes to think he is good at what he does. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: His life has been relatively quiet up to this point apart from be taunted a little bit. His father was immune to the disease, but died quite young by unknown reasons (everyone says it was the sickness, but Rune and his mother knew it was not). His mother was one of the diseased, and passed away just as Rune hit adolescence. He knows how the life of the pride works, and wishes every day that he would be among those that suffer. Maybe then, other lions would stop teasing him about his ‘clumsiness’. How does he feel about his dual life and secret rank of Spy? There are days that Rune would just like to forget about his double life, and live just the one of his normal personality. He knows he can’t, therefore attempts to live life to the fullest, forever putting on the act to his family and friends. Do you, as a writer, understand he MUST keep his title as spy as a top secret? I do! Why did you as a writer choose to apply for Mr. Sexy Spy? I just love the idea of this character, and I have never had an SoA that lives a ‘secret life’. There is so much rp plots with it! ((and this also gives me a chance to finally get a K’A lion! I haven’t had the right character to toss at the pride just yet.)) Always I Wanna Be With You! Username: Avid_RPer18 SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Ranen - Hebrew "To be singing, to be joyful" Future Possible Rank in the Pride: Bard Is he diseased, a carrier or immune? Diseased - He'll go back and forth from really high highs to very low lows. He'll have a particularly hard time as a cub and for a time when he's an adolescent, seeming to be practically completely better as a juvenile. For the most part, his adulthood will be fairly stable, in terms of consistency of his illness with occasional 'bad' days or weeks before springing back again. So, I guess, predominantly intermediate stage up until his final days for the most part. Personality:Ranen, even from a young age, will seem to possess an old soul. Having an innate spirituality and inner calm, he won't be angry or terribly sad about his having the disease to the extent that he does. He fully understands that he will succumb to the disease and that he will suffer, greatly sometimes, but on that day he is called, he will gladly go on to serve the goddess and live on amongst the heavens. Until that day though, he will do his damnedest to bring some manner of joy to his fellow pridemates through song and stories. During the good times of his health, he'll sing everything from sweet little tunes about nonsensical or simple things, to songs of hope and life and love. Very rarely will he sing more somber tunes, for he feels that there is enough of that to go around, but if requested, he will do so. Warm and gentle, he is the sort to give until it hurts and sometimes lose track of time or forget that he's feeling tired or a bit hungry until he feels his job is done. As an adult, he'll have an extreme soft spot of cubs dying of the illness or suffering terribly. Even if he is having one of his 'bad days', he'll leave his den to seek them out and tell them stories, if the congestion of his lungs won't allow for adequate singing. He has a love and devotion for everyone in the pride and would go out of his way to bring them a little smile during their days. Normally social, Ranen will thrive when interacting with the others, but will prefer to be more alone during the times when his disease gets bad. (Either completely alone or with occasional visits, either to him or of him going visiting to those desperately in need of a pick-me-up.) He intends on living a life of service. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: As normal as can be expected. He has no real recollection of his mother, but he has a vague sense that she was pale like himself. (This may lead to him having a sort of fondness for the Head Matron, what with her white base coat and rainbow of splotches, vaguely reminding him of the mother that is a ghost in his own memory.) His new mother tended to him as she did her other two cubs and became all the more doting when one passed shortly after the other. Young though he may be, he knows how hard his adoptive mother works to keep him as healthy as she can manage and he adores her for it. At night, she sings to him until he drifts off into usually uncomfortable and fitful sleep, but this is what will prompt him to become a bard as he grows. The thought and memory of the love and feeling in her songs being sung just for him to help quiet, comfort, and take him mind of the aches and chills will cement in his mind what he can offer to the pride at large. Was he born in to the pride or was he a foundling and adopted in? Born in - His mother came to the K'A heavily pregnant and was already weakened due to her pregnancy and a weak immune system. She barely survived delivering her only cub and died shortly there after, only managing to give him his name and nestle him close to her side before slipping away. He was adopted by another mother within the pride and raised as another son of the K'A. What are some of his dreams and goals? His dream and goal will be to be the singingest bard around, if he can help it. He would love nothing more than to bring a little distraction or delight to those others whom are ailing, or just need a little lift from time to time. When he feels the need or compelled to get a mate, he'll seek out the Head Matron, providing he isn't paired off at a younger age, and ask for her assistance. He does dream of having a mate and children of his own to sing his songs to. Ranen dreams of bringing as much enjoyment to the pride as he can possibly manage while he is around. Oh, I've been eyeballing the K'A for a while now and have been itching on getting someone in the pride. I adore it, for its potential for drama and tragedy and all manner of delicious plots. SoA Name & Meaning:Sakngea, means greatness in Cambodian.
Future Possible Rank in the Pride: To become a trader of goods. Going to the boundary to get things from the other creatures.
Is he diseased, a carrier or immune? He is a carrier of the disease, just like his father.
Personality:a tad bit of a torchurd soul , he wishes he knew his mother and father and sence he thinks about nothing else his mental status is rather shot. curious, asking things like how his mom and dad looked like and if they loved each other.Always on missions to find "the truth".
What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: It was rough at the beginning.His mother died giving birth to him, the sickness weakened her severely during labor and she passed on. Stricken by grief the father died in the outskirts more then likely due to starvation because he refused to eat. His first memory is of his father going missing. The little one is currently being raised by another Lioness in the pride.
Was he born in to the pride or was he a foundling and adopted in?He was born in.
What are some of his dreams and goals? He currently has no idea that his father is actually dead. The pride doesn't know ether but is almost 100% sure that he is dead because he didn't eat for a long time before he vanished. The little angry cub wants to become a trader and find his father on the outskirts and see why he was abandoned.He's not really interested in love or friendship at this time.
What would be a good theme song for this little guy as you see him? Skillet- Monster, because of how he feels inside of course.
Why do you want to join the Kitwana'antara? I think this place would be a great opportunity to hon my skills and I find the disease a fun challenge to work with.

I'm pretty sure this is copy/paste leftovers from a previous contest, the stuff about the half-sister and whatnot, but I want to make sure before I proceed. XD

I'm pretty sure this is copy/paste leftovers from a previous contest, the stuff about the half-sister and whatnot, but I want to make sure before I proceed. XD Crap, yeah, that was poor editing on my part. xD I snatched that information from a previous contest, alas, and somehow missed that. No one is royalty in this group at the moment nor is anyone related to the King or Queen. Thanks for pointing this out though, I'll be sure to edit and delete it so as to avoid further confusion. Thanks for the interest though!

Find Me a Find, Catch Me a Catch!Username: Hoshi Lockhart SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Aegle ["light, radiance, glory"] Is she a carrier or immune? Immune, just to make the job a little easier. Personality: Very patient. Aegle is able to sit and listen to someone for hours. Whether they are just talking or venting about a horrible day, she always has one ear open. The only problem is, most individuals don't know whether she has her memory turned off or not. They know she only has their best interests at heart, but sometimes she can get a little carried away when she's participating in a little gossip. It's just something she hasn't quite gotten the hang of beating. Fortunately, it's only in small amounts, so the information she gathers about others that isn't important doesn't slip out often. She's also intelligent, though not very organized. Aegle is able to part with some of her wisdom to help a fellow feline to make a decision of something, usually in the matters of the heart. She likes to belief, because she stores away so much information about her pride members, she doesn't have much room to plan her day. Normally, she'll just wander around until she finds someone to talk to or someone needs help. Never a lover of the noisy side of life, Aegle likes things quiet. She doesn't like trying to talk to more than a few felines at once, finding anymore rather overwhelming and confusing. And a little claustrophobic. What has her life been like within the pride up until now?: As a cub, Aegle had a love of gossip. Her parents just couldn't teach her otherwise. She would spend hours just chattering away about the things she heard to others and adding to her mental bank new things they would say. This, of course, lead to an understanding of the lives of those around her. As she grew older, she began to experiment with setting up other lions, finding she had a knack for it. She knew so much about them from all the things she had heard. Could somehow manage to poke through the information and discover what was fact and what was lies. But her parents didn't belief it was a suitable talent for their daughter. Sure, they knew the importance of the role. Just not for her. She treated it more like a hobby. As right as she was most of the time, they didn't feel the role would be suitable for her. And worried about her losing interest. Aegle, of course, didn't feel the same. As much as a hobby it was for her, it made her happy. So despite her parent's wishes, she sought out to make it happen. She knew she wouldn't be content with any other role. How does she feel about being Head Matron? Was this a dream of hers or was it more of a surprise? It was a dream, but also a surprise. Aegle is rather modest about her talents. She knew she'd be fit enough for the role, just didn't think she was ever as good as the best of the best. She always enjoyed matching others up and poking around their lives to make sure they would match. What's a typical day like for our Head Matron? Still just as full of gossip as it used to be. Only now, it has a purpose. She listens, not only for her own interest, but to store away for later in case the lions mentioned needed her help. Much of the day is spent wandering around in seek of those mentioned, to check which tales are facts and which are just rumors. A lioness of her standing couldn't afford to mess up. Or get her facts wrong. It's fortunate for her she has such a good memory. What's her favorite part of being the Head Matron or a Matchmaker in general, if anything? The fact she can gossip and it's helping her job. Any other rank wouldn't allow her to do this as often as she'd like. She does, of course, also enjoy helping others in this delicate matter. Username: Ecavi SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Pingana (Challenge, Swahili) Personality: Pingana was raised to be a loyal and active member of the pride but it wasn't until his immunity was recognized in late adolescence that he really came out of his shell. He has always been the quiet and observant type, and while he has a tendency to take a pessimistic perspective, he has long grown out of letting it hold him back. He is extremely loyal to the pride, taking his immunity to be a gift- not just because he is not sick but because it allows him the opportunity to be one of the few born-and-raised lions that can be relied upon as much as other species. Yes, he is a bit racist. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: Losing much of the pride, including many of those he shared his rank with, has kept him (apparently) at the back of goings-on as the pride picked up the pieces after everything that has happened. He continues to carry out his duties, both public and secret, but he has been keeping to himself otherwise. How does he feel about his dual life and secret rank of Spy? He considers it an honour to serve the pride as a spy, and being so reserved and slightly pessimistic makes it an easy secret to keep. Pingana isn't particularly fond of discussing his true work, even with other spies. Do you, as a writer, understand he MUST keep his title as spy as a top secret? Yes. Why did you as a writer choose to apply for Mr. Sexy Spy? I really like his design and his requirements seemed the most interesting while not being too ambitious a stepping stone to getting into a new pride. He has seen much in his life, and through his work and family life, tries to keep words to a minimum. This does not mean he does not speak, however, just that he tries to keep himself at a distance as he knows the disease that plagues his pride takes lives, and he has seen too many fall to the wind. He is quiet, swift and strong, but honorable. He would never leave a pride member to suffer alone, as he himself watched his father suffer greatly from the loss of his mother. "It is not the distance traveled," his father once told him before passing on, "but the obstacles overcome." Taking his father's words to heart, he considers himself, and his markings, a gift. He sees the white upon his pelt as hope, the dark, a reminder that touch can be deadly for the pride he loves, and the gold upon himself is that of his duties: unknown, mysterious, but meaningful. He is a scout, a spy, a lion of few words, but true to his heart, strength, duty and pride. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: Iwa spends most of his time moving about in the night, as twilight falls, he rises and begins his rounds of the pridelands as well as the borders. His mother, a skilled stalker who he only remembers through playing games of hide and seek as a cub, taught him well. He moves silently, but with stamina and strength inherited from his father. He is keen to keep a watchful eye on those within the pride, and those just beyond the borders. Because of his immunity, he travels just beyond the pridal borders to bring prey beasts back so that none may fear the outside world, or fear they may go without food. Iwa does what he can, and more if his King and Queen ask of him, and will continue to do so as his heart guides him. To be honest, I haven't created a new SoA character/personality in a long,long time, and as I've been doing my personal writing as of late, I have so many ideas and a thirst to get back into rping (been doing a lot of rpnig for the firekin plot currently).I love my characters and give my all as it is in my spirit and ambition as a writer. He's A Secret Agent Man~!Username: Kyaishi SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Sefu (means "sword" in Swahili) Personality: Outwardly, Sefu is the perfect gentleman; polite, charismatic, chivalrous. Diplomatic to the last, he could talk his way out of anything. If one were to ever get a glimpse at his true self, however, he is cold, ruthless and unforgiving. His only concern is his pride, and damn anything that stands in his way. The scant few that have caught a glimpse of both sides of the coin consider him a sociopath, incapable of guilt or remorse, and willing to sacrifice anyone to accomplish his own goals. While the latter may be mostly true- barring the possibility that individual is a member of the pride- the former is not. He may be an expert at wearing the mask and denying that he has any modicum of feelings at all, the fact remains that they are there, even if they never come to light, or are even acknowledged by their owner. There is a heavy sense of duty weighing over all that he does, though on some level he can admit that he truly cares for the members of his pride. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: While the story of his adoption into the Kitwana'antara is one that he remembers quite vividly, the true nature of his origins were lost to him from the moment he was taken in by one of the elder females as a cub. He has no memory of the events that led to his exile, only certain that he could never go back. Injured and wary at first, Sefu was hesitant to accept the kindness that was offered him, though necessity eventually won out over caution and pride. The lioness that had taken him in was a gentle soul, full of warmth and smiles, and gradually he came to return them with feeling. The pride was more welcoming than what little he could remember of his own family, and before long he had latched himself on to a group of cubs, slightly younger than him, but no less friendly. He was 'big brother' to all of them, 'best friend' as time went on. Content with his lot in this life, he was happily oblivious to exactly what lurked beneath the surface. Of course he had noticed that there were more sickly lions here and not so many elders, but with nothing to compare it to, and the happiness of finding a new home, Sefu found it quite easy to overlook, until the plague struck close to him. The kind lioness who had taken him in fell prey to the disease, and took her last breaths assuring him that it was all right, that everything would be fine, that she would watch over him and she was ready to go. Finally, the truth came to light... and suddenly her almost obsessive concerns about his cleanliness and her care not to share food with him made perfect sense. Though eventually the inevitable happened, Sefu proved to be immune... but his friends weren't so lucky. One by one, their deaths changed him, hardened him, until the smiles became empty and hollow. Over time, though, the mask was perfected, and those who witnessed it mistook the false cheer for sincerity. He doubted he could feel at all anymore after so long and so many losses, but the care he had for the members of this pride was deep-rooted. He would kill for them, die for them, and the transition into 'spy' was almost easy, with the justification it provided him. Now, he spends his days emotionally isolated from the other members, but outwardly as friendly as he has always been. How does he feel about his dual life and secret rank of Spy? There is no alternative, and Sefu refuses to consider that there is. Even if one were offered to him, there is no way he could separate himself from the role anymore. It is as much a part of him as the twisted set of morals that he clings so fervently to- were he to lose the justification to his actions, it may destroy any sense of self that he has left outside of his loyalty to the pride. Do you, as a writer, understand he MUST keep his title as spy as a top secret? Even if Sefu were for some reason inclined to tell someone his secret- which is highly unlikely- his undying sense of duty and loyalty would prevent him from ever coming forward. It would be completely out of character for him to ever admit his status. And as a writer, yes, I understand the importance, and will never go against those wishes. Why did you as a writer choose to apply for Mr. Sexy Spy? The possibilities for an interesting personality intrigued me 8D I could never hope to attempt schizophrenia, but I've always wanted to try something along those lines- two different personalities, but a valid reason for both of them.
