Prompt Response: Tefu looked to the young lioness as she worried and fretted over her totem. Unlike the female Tefu never once feared her own higher totem. Her mate now was strong and able and just the perfect match to her. Looking to the crying one she smiled softly and leaned toward to caress her cheek against the Youngers. “Do not fear for such things. Chumo picked well your mate dear heart, and the shaman chose well your totem. It could be that the spirits wish for you to be strong for your mate one day.” The female seemed even more scared of this and Tefu blinked in surprise.
“I am female, what can I do?!” This was shocking that the young lioness thought so little of herself to ask this. “Stand strong for him, bathe his wounds and give him strong sons. Caste your warmth to him in the colder nights and shade him from the heat in the hotter times. You are strong; your totem would not come to you if you were not. Your mate is still stronger, and it may take time but you each will fit together as the zebra fit the grass.” She smiled again and brushed her cheek once more against the Youngers. “Do not be afraid, for such things settle only with time.” This seemed to cheer the little female up. Smiling again Tefu watched her run off, getting a quick goodbye shot to her.
She had never once been worried for her totem strength. It was not as strong as some, nor weak as many. She was proud that the spirits spoke to the shaman of her strengths to receive such a fine guiding creature. She was proud still that she was the mate to such a male as Chumo. Despite being strong he was kind and warm hearted. Tefu knew the young lioness would find her worries were for nothing.
